Singapore’s hottest new comics visit Australia together for the first time ever in this very special show. Featuring: Fakkah Fuzz - "A young, talented Malay stand up comedian" 8 Days Rishi Budhrani - "hilarious material” The Online Star Jinx Yeo - "One of Singapore's freshest young comic stars in the making" The Comedy Club Asia Sons of Singapore is an exciting troupe of young Singaporean comedians under the guidance of Singapore based, veteran Aussie comic JONATHAN ATHERTON. Jonathan, a former presenter of Lonely Planet and Globetrekker, is founder and CEO of THE COMEDY CLUB ASIA which produces international comedy shows in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Cambodia. (The Comedy Club Cambodia was the first ever English language comedy club in that nation). One Indian, one Chinese and one Malay reflect the ethnic diversity of Singapore and the addition of an Australian MC makes it so much more like the real thing- it couldn’t be a Singaporean venture without some degree of foreign outsourcing... SONS OF SINGAPORE promise an irreverent look at the inner workings of the Lion City and what it means to be Singaporean in this globalized age... and, of course, some damn good laughs!

Dr. Death

Dr. Death

We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. We trust the system. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications, and the system failed to protect them. Which begs the question: who - or what - is that system meant to protect? From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, DR. DEATH is a story about a charming surgeon, 33 patients and a spineless system. Reported and hosted by Laura Beil.
