Let's take a look back at it, try to find
some towns end, try to get to know these teams
a little bit better.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Games for yesterday is Greg buzzing about. Here is the
rowdy recap.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Atlanta Braves busts out with the deep ball four to two.
They're able to take down the New York Metropolitans. Three
home runs in this one for the Atlanta Braves, all
off of Osay Kitana, and I think these were all
in the third ending as well. Ozzy Alby's his third
home run season. Ronald Lukuney Junior a third arm run season,
Matt Olsen is fourth not the world's greatest start for Kitana,

(01:46):
gives up all four runs over the course of five innings.
From there, Jan Ramire's two squirrel settings, Adrian don't call
m Dougie auser has been delegated to the bullpen. He
puts up two squirrel settings as well, and Francisco Lindor
was able to go deep off of Charlie Moore in
this one for his seventh home run season for Morton.
Still a good start. He gives up that's home run
in seven innings. Rossi Iglesias gives up a run in

(02:07):
an ending himself a j mincher, He's able to turn
a squirrel setting. So the Braves they're not twenty three
and twelve, but they are chasing currently the Philadelphia Phillies
out there in the East of Phillies. They just keep
on racking up wins. They take down to Miami Marlins
by conn of eight to two, and man, if you've
been taking the Marlins on the run line, it has
not been a good year for you. Eleven and twenty

(02:27):
nine worst run line record in the Big leagues and
for Philadelphia to Casianos. He goes the third home run
season that's off of Trevor Rodgers, and then had Yow
and Ross not known for his bat he gets the
second home run in the campaign that comes off of
Eli Bella. Both hopefully I said that correctly. He gives
up that's home run and his two innings of work
for Rodgers, he was not in the neighborhood of a

(02:48):
good start. Five runs, four of which we're earned, given
up in three and a third innings to Klon Cronin
gives up an under and run and one in two
thirds innings, and we're a pair of varus by Jake
Berger that hurt the seam. Anthony benders squirrel setting, Calvin
Fauchet gives up a run and then ending and for
Miami not a lot doing off of Rangers. For Us,
he continues to be massful, and he's got to be
towards the top of the Cy Young debate right now.

(03:09):
Nine punch outs and seven squirrel settings. Gregory Sota does
give up two runs at an ending, but Ose Alvarado
turns the squirrel setting so the Phillies may get another
win and the second worst team on the run line
thus far the season in Major League Baseball, maybe the
Tampa Bay Rays and they did not put up any
runs on Friday, two to zero. The Yankees get the
job done. Clark Schmid a really nice start six to

(03:30):
two thirds sending scoreless and from there Luke Weaver Clay
Holmes turn a squirrel setting mcberdy ou out of the
bullpen and for Holmes, thirty four pitches used in his
ending of work, but he still has yet to give
up and earn a run this season. You and Anthony Rizzo,
he earned you that run line for the Yankees. It
was one to zero going to the ninth. He goes
zep off a Searn Armstrong seventh home run season as

(03:50):
Tosh Bradley pitched well enough to win one un surrendered
in six innings. That's good. Garrett Clevenger, Kevin Kelly make
him by for a squirrel setting. Armstrong gives up a
home run in his heading work. Jason Adam, though he
gives a squirrel setting, absolutely nothing doing here for the
Tampa Bay Rays and fortunately back to back losses. Far
a Deacon, Now we're great to pick. I will want
to be a little bit better. We had that seven

(04:10):
game win streak and since then we've been sliding a
little bit, and by we, I mean me. Nobody else
has at vault for it other than myself, But that's
said the White Sox. They take down the Cleveland Guardians
six to three, and Garret Crochet was tremendous in this one.
Eleven punch outs, six scoreless settings a lot. That is
because the Guardians got a man on third with nods
and could not drive him in. That was not great
to say. Listen, Carlos Carrasco gives up five runs, three

(04:32):
which will earned in seven nings. He did a lot
of pair of homers. He pitched better than this. The
fielding was very, very bad in this one. You had
Gabriel Riis have a ball go off of his glove.
You had a Jose Ramirez fielding here as well as
for the White Sox going deep in this one, you
had Andrew Vaughan that would be off of Pedro Avulo
a little bit later on the game his first Ovula.
He gives up that home run over the course of

(04:54):
visiting work and then the two home runs off of
Carrasco that would be Paul the Young sixth home run season,
and then Corey Lee is fourth and from there the
White Sox did make can mess out of the things
from the bullpen. Steven Wilson he gives up a so
Holme run and his third of editing, and Tanner Banks
he gives up two runs in one and a third innings,
including home run. You had mister Roose Ramirez get his
ninth home run season and Tyler Freeman his fourth home

(05:15):
run season. And then for the White Sox Jordan leisure
He leisurely is able to give you four outside the
bullpen to be able to earn a save. You did
see the cince Ani Reds be able to get a
four to two win over the San Francisco Giants, And
for the Reds they have now won eight straight games
without being able to break the four run plateau. But
it was enough for Andre Rabbit gives up two runs
over the course of four innings, didn't allow home run

(05:35):
at Serio Estrada gets his sixth home run season, and
for Logan Webb, always pretty massful at home, wasn't quite
as sharpened this one. Three runs, two of which will earned,
given up in seven innings. From there, Eric Miller gives
up a so Holme run and his setting work going
d for the since a Reds Stuart Fairchild the second
home run season before Tyler Rodgers s turns the squirrel setting,
but for the since a Reds bullpen was on point here,

(05:56):
Lucas Simms, Justin Wilson, thank you bye for two squirrel
settings at Alexis sts. Along Emilio Paganan, they're both able
to turn a squirrel setting as well. And for the
Milwaukee Burs right now they are your top overteam in
all baseball twenty three overs, fourteen unders and a push
as far this season, and they scored another over on Friday.
The Saint Louis Cardinals only get their teeth kicked in

(06:18):
eleven to two the final first Saint Louis lance Lynn
five runs, four of which Will earned, given up in
four and two thirds innings, and it didn't get better.
Matthew Liberator gives up two runs in a third n
enning four runs in four outs given up by Kyle
Lahey before you have one and two thirds endings scrolls
from Chris Roycroft, the D three product, but he did
Nolan Gorman to go yard when the game was way

(06:39):
out of hand. His fifth home run season after the
young rookie and his debut Robert Gasser. He threw the
gas six corol settings. From there, he had three innings
of longer leave from Kevin Harrigett. He gives up that
home run two runs in total over course of three innings,
but for the Birds, no home runs, but they put
up eleven runs, going eight of fifteen with Bennett scoring position.
The Chicot Cups, they put up their fair share of

(07:01):
runs as well, seven to two. They're able to take
down the Pittsburgh Pirates. Welcome back Cody Bellinger. He gets
a solom run in the first setting. Some holm run
season off of Jared Jones, who he pitched relatively okay
three runs, two of which weren't given up in six endings.
Did a lot of that home run and then settled down,
but under Strandon and the bullpen really made a mess
of things. Four runs surrendered in his sending work Josh
Fleming and O don't see can terrorists both on the

(07:23):
score is setting him for the Pirers and you go
one of twelve with men in scoring position. Avi Rasat
he has been a master of getting out of jams
really since he became a starter last season. Two runs,
one of which was given up in four and third
endings ays four, it's along the way. Ben Brown from
there in long relief three and two thirds endings squirrels
and ad bar Elsley is able to turn a squirrel
of setting. It's been rough for these Snastras this year,

(07:44):
but they're now fourteen and twenty four back to back
wins for them five to two. They're able to take
down the Detroit Tigers, says Casey Mayes. Pitched well enough
to win this game. Gave up a solo run over
the course of six innings. Kyle Tucker twelfth home run
season one has been a highly reliable Tigers bullpen. Then
he acted, Andrew Chafin did not get a single out
and he gave up three runs. Well ves Alexo. They
both turn the squirrel setting. And you did have Jason

(08:06):
Fully give up an under and run hurt by Matt
Veer laying fielding air. But that's for from Rivaldez found
himself in a lot of trouble early gets out of it,
giving up just two runs over the course of the
first three innings, and then Phil seven innings giving up
those two runs. Ryan Bray Josh Hater from there both
turn a scuirrel of setting. So ram sass are starting
to get back and they're starting to find their footing.

(08:28):
But the team with the best under rate in all
baseball that resides in their division, that BB Seattle, manners things.
They get a little bit overwhelming in for the Mariners,
I believe they have now played five out of their
last six games to the over but they pound the
Oakland Eightes eight to one to final. Paul Blackburn gives
up seven runs and four innings, including home run gandy
for Seattle, though Moore gives you more with his third
home run season. But from there did their job as

(08:50):
Michael Kelly turned one in two thirds, ending scrolls Easton
Lucas gets far outs out of the bullpen, he does
allow run and tether Ferguson He's able to turn the
squirrel setting. But for Seattle it was all about Brian
Who saying woo who to his first start of the year,
four and a third ning scoreless. From there, the bullpen
was able to do their part. Awesome both gives up
a run in the ninth inning, but awesome both gives
up a run in the ninth inning, But by then

(09:12):
everything I've been decided, as Kirby Sneed Trent Thornton. They
both flanned one and a third ning Scoreles saying Cody
Bolton was able to give you a squirrel setting as well,
You're able to get a relatively low scoring Just West
Coast night in general, as the Colrad Rockies may win
against the Texas Rangers by account of forty two back
to back wins for the Rockies. As Corey Seeger has

(09:33):
been having a miserable year, he's able to go deep
off of Austin Gomber. Fourth home round season loan. Two
RBI for the Rangers came off of him, as Gomber
two runs, one of which was earned, giving up in
six and two thirds dings. From there, Jake berd Jalen
Beaks both lined at squirrel setting in Justin Lawrence and
out of the bullpen. But for the Rockies they did
a relatively solid job. Will be able to get to
the bullpen, as John Gray in his return trip to

(09:54):
Colrado very good. He gives up eight hits but only
one run at six innings, and then from there you
had an and run given up by Jordan Lance in
two thirds of an nning. Jery Rodriguez gets it out
of the bullpen, but Grant Anderson he loves two runs
at signing work, so Rangers they go down to the
Colrad Rockies. The La Dodgers only put up a one
run on the Potters two to one. San Diego gets
the job done. Tyler Glass now really good Startier does

(10:17):
give up a solo run, but gives up just that
solo run and seven innings punches out ten as Luis
Capisano gets a third home run season promos. Michael King
was better eleven strikeouts in seven squirrel settings. He had
Yuki Matt Sue from there give up a run in
an nning, but Robert Suarez closes the door. He gets
a squirrel of setting as you had Blake try and
lend a squirrel setting for the Dodgers as well, but

(10:37):
Michael Grove, he's on the ninth. Luis Raya is that
trade already paying dividends for the Patters gets a game
winning single in the Potters there now above five hundred.
You've also had a lot of overs thus far this
season from the Baltimore Orioles. They have been one of
your better over teams in all of baseball, and they
are able to get a run line win over the
years and a Diamondbacks for to two the final. This

(10:58):
is a game that falls under the totalized for Arizona.
You had Randon fought battle in this one. He gives
up three runs in six innings. From there, Logan Allen
gives up a run in a third inning, but Justin
Martinez five outs out of the bullpen scorals for the
Arizona Nineanbacks really low form of offense was Keetel martez
eighth home run season as co oven. He does not
want to give up this starting role. Gives up two
runs in five and two thirds innings. Is now allowed

(11:20):
a grand total of four runs over the course of
his last five starts. From there, you had a poo
poo plighter of pitchers. Craig Kimbrel did not come in
in the ninth enning good on the Baltimoreals. He along
Henior Cano won a squirrel setting. Jacobeb cnl Perez they
combined for a squirrel setting, and Albert Swarez.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
He comes in.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
He's able to get an out at the bullpen as well.
So the Oriols. They continue to be hot and they
continue to be record wise the best seam out there
in the American League. A team that has been very
good on the run line. That'd be the Kansanity Royals
at twenty four and sixteen and many play a low
scoring game against the La Angels, but they do get
the job done, this by a count of two to one.
It was a circumstance where the Royal Sea Clothes is

(11:58):
a favorite, so they don't cover that run line. But
Elf Marsh was very solid one run surrendered in five
and a third innings. He did allow you so ho
run going deep for the La Angels. It was home
run number six of the season. For Jodell sets fire
to the rain and for Griffin Canning he did his
part five and two thirds. Any Squirrels and Am Simber
gets you ou out of the bullpen and Moore Lewis
Garcia the supply Squirrels setting in Carlos Stevens now rocket

(12:20):
north of the sixty Arra gives up two runs in
the ninth inning, including a home run that decided the
game to Adam Frazier, who has been awful this year,
first home run season. And for the Royals they did
their part. Will Smith, Ty Duffy, John Dreiver All he
squirrel is setting, and then Chris Tranton is able to
give you a paarabouts out of the bullpen scoreless as well.
Patrick Corbyn continues to be profitable for you. If you've

(12:42):
been on the Washington Nationals and every Patrick Corbin start
thus far this season, the Nationals are four and four
when he gets starts, they have been a plus money
underdog in every one of them. You're up money five
to one the final and for that matter, the Nationals
nineteen and twenty one and Corbyn starts since the beginning
of the twenty and twenty three seasons, so he's actually
been very highly profitful for you and gave up seven.

(13:02):
It's it wasn't the sharpest performance, but gives up just
one run and then the bullpen went to work. Jacob
Barnesill and floral hunter Harvey will Land a squirrel setting
in Derek Law at long Robert Garcia thank you bye
for a squirrels setting of their own. For the Boston
Red Sox, it's nothing doing on offense a strand eleven
men on basin. Tanner Rock gives up three runs over
the course of seven innings. From there, Brendan Bernardino, He's

(13:23):
squirrel is setting. Kennley Janson gives up two runs in
the ninth inning, but that point the game had been
out of reach and he saw the Washington Nationals catch
another ticket with the old turkey towser out there on
the mound. And then the Toronto Blue Jays they fall
to the Minnesota Twins at home by account of three
to two. As Joe Ryan, very good startier, gives up
they sold him run over the course of the seven

(13:43):
innings that was to Isaiah Canar Falaffa, his second home
round season. You say, Kikuji a bit of a tough
luck loser. He gives up two runs. Phil d eight
innings did allow home run along the way as Carlos
Santana is able to get home run number five of
the season. From there, Griffin Jacks gives up a run
in an ending, and Yander Ron he's actually being used
in the eighth not the ninth inning, he gives you
a squirrel setting For Toronto, Nate Pearson does give up

(14:05):
a run in two thirds of finning before Genesiscuberra is
able to give you an out out of the bullpen.
But for the Toronto Blue Jays rough start to the season,
they are now seventeen and twenty one, and for the
Blue Jays has been rather rough sledding, to say the least,
in terms of their offense. They are now just seventeen
and twenty one on the run line as well. If
you're dagging a look at Major League Baseball and where
we're seeing trend wise, it has been very much an

(14:26):
underwhelming season, a little bit touching go in terms of
the total set we did see on Friday, but if
you're looking at the last thiry days, about fifty five
percent of games have gone under the total two hundred
and seven hunders, one hundred and sixty nine overs. Meanwhile,
favorites in the SAMES fan hitting out about fifty nine
point one percent two hundred and thirty one and one
to sixty on the money line. Favorites over the last seventies,
by the way, a little bit cooler, fifty three and

(14:48):
thirty seven on the money line. Meanwhile, the totals over
the last seven a's starting to go over forty seven overs,
forty one unders. We've had a few pushes along the
way as well, and if you just take a look
at what we all got on Friday. On Friday, it
was all about the favorites going nine and six on
the money line and ten underds to just five overs.
And overall for the season, the underrate hoverings right around

(15:09):
about fifty ninety two hundreds to two urn and sixty overs.
Well favorites they running at a rate of fifty eight
point six percent, three thirty five and two thirty seven.
So that's why we're seeing in baseball right now. And
that's what we all got on Friday. Now, let's take
a look at what we're all getting on Saturday. How
to engage some of these guys in their debut start
and just want to make out the first six weeks
of the baseball season. We shall do so with William

(15:29):
Boord does great workover at Action Network as he joins
me next right here on the Baseball Betting Shows myself
Greg Peterson, now apart from the Dson family of.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Podcasts, breaking down every game every day in Major League Baseball.
This is the Baseball Betting Show. Here is your host,
Greg Peterson.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Everbrank you love you Las Vegas for the Baseball Betting
Show with myself Greg Peterson now part of the Visa
Family podcasts, and it is always great to be joined
by this man as we're being joined by William does
an absolutely tremendous job over at Action Network taking a
look on so many different fronts. I know that he's
one of their main editors. He's also doing some work
over at the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Post, Chicago Tribune,

(16:11):
and so much more. Does a great job take a
look at the great game of baseball. And for those
that are interested in a little bit of hockey and NBA,
he's been able to do a nice job on that
front as well. You're able to fall on Twitter slash
Chicks at the letter W and then his last name
Board br altogether and William, always great to have you
a board.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Thank you, always happy to join you talk some baseball, talk,
some betting, and let's let's look forward to this weekend.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Oh absolutely, it is going to be a great weekend.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
And now we're at that point where we've seen about
six or so weeks of baseball. I do want to
get some of your takeaways, whether they be good, whether
they be bad, whether it just be a trend or two,
as to why you've all seen this far this season,
Because I do think that there's been a lot of takeaways,
and certainly this has been a beer that has been
quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Different than what we saw a season ago.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Last time I was on, the Phillies were kind of
in the middle of the rut. They've turned it around
when eight of ten and they're winning again. As were
recording this, I think that was a team that we
always thought was gonna be good. But nice to see
them actually do it, because sometimes you just don't know.
Speaking of sometimes you just don't know. I keep waiting
for the Astros to wake up, but apparently they're not

(17:14):
gonna I don't know what's going on there. I mean
I do. They can't hit, but they're surprising. I think
they're one of the more surprising teams in the league.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
To me.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
I think if I look across the top of the divisions,
like you know, the Orioles, we thought they were gonna
be good. Guardians are performing probably a little better than
I thought. But I was on their overwind total, like
I thought I thought they would be good. White Sox.
I think we all thought it was gonna be bad,
maybe not this bad. But I think when you really
look for outliers, I think Houston kind of is the

(17:44):
most drastic.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah, with the Houston Astros, it has been so interesting
to look at them because I think what has been
a big thing for them is that it just feels
like they don't have the pitching depth that they used
to have, because even though they didn't necessarily have the
big name guys in the bullpen like they have this
year with Josh Hader, they would have some of those
rock solid guys like an Actor and Era It's like
a Ryan Stanekan.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
I do think that that's been.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Part of it, with them trading away a little bit
more depth, bringing in Josh Hater to pair with Ryan
Presley and those guys frankly falling flat on their face
to begin the season.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Having those high end arms are great. Obviously it's very valuable,
but for it to be valuable, you need to get
to the eighth inning with the lead, and they can't
bridge the gap and get there at this point, which
then kind of renders some of those other people useless.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah, it's been interesting to take a look at them,
and it should be interesting moving forward to see if
they're going to be able to pick it up a
little bit, because I have to think that they're not
quite as bad as a team with a win percente
right around about thirty four or so percent. But that said,
if they don't get some of their guys back and
fold as they've been deal with injuries of Christianavier just
got back from Rivaldez who started yesterday, and that's gonna

(18:48):
be a little bit of an issue for them.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
As William Border does great work.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
All right, Action Network is shown to me right here
on the Baseball Betting Show, and I know you had
mentioned the Chicago White Sox, and just one thing that's
really stood out to me this season has been the
divide between the half knots of the league. Because typically
we've got one really really bad team to start out
to You're like, yeah, the Oakland A's last year, they
were just absolutely horrible to begin the season. Like a

(19:13):
lot of people will remember in twenty twenty one the
years of the Diamondbacks for a team that was just
absolutely atrocious in the first half of the season. This
year we've got three of them though, in the Miami Marlins,
the White Sox that you alluded to, and the Colorado Rockies.
And just want to get your thoughts there, because I
think that when you face off against any of those
three teams. It's a must win night in and night out,
and I just can't remember just a divide between three

(19:35):
teams and the rest of the league like we've seen
this far the season with those three.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Yeah, it's a good point because they're all what like
already eight or nine games back in the division. I know,
the White Sox I'm looking or twelve and a half.
I think the most thing that's shocking is, y all
knew these teams were going to be bad. So that's
not shocking the fact that the Marlins already traded lease arise.
The fact that their GM comes out and says we're
probably not going to make the playof It's like, look,

(20:00):
I mean, we all knew it, but to have like
a team official come out and say that quiet part
out loud in early May is just insane. I don't
think that is something that we actually not even I
think I know that's not something we see very often.
Most teams, you know, wait till the trade deadline or
say hey it's still early even though we all kind

(20:22):
of can see they're not good. Whatever. But the Marlins
just coming out in early May and being like, hey,
you know what we do suck you guys are all
right to me, that like totally caught me off guard.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Yeah, it was really interesting to take a look at that.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
And no, not keeping kim ing, I know that you
left a little bit on her own accord because they
were going to pretty much ever a little bit lower
on the totem pull that I felt like was a
disaster for the Miami Marlins, and right now that is
playing out to be such and I do think that
it is going to be interesting to see what we
get those three teams moving forward. As for Colorado, one
thing that they do have going for them is at elevation,

(20:55):
but that's about the only thing I think Colord Rockys
have going for them. And he speaking of which, they're
facing up against a Texas Rangers team that has been
a want of intrigue this far the season as well,
just because the offense sands at series that we just
saw against the Oakland A's where they just erupted. Quite frankly,
both teams just absolutely erupted in that series or it
was a whole bunch of overs that that was a

(21:15):
fun series watch to say the least. But now they're
on the road facing up against Colorado with Anderwtini has
about a minus one fifty five minus one sixty five favorite,
with this being a total of ten and a half.
How do you view the Texas Rangers team, not just
for this game, but them moving forward because they have
had a few guys like Corey Seger struggling through begin
the season.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
I like him. You mentioned Seeger struggling. Heaney hasn't been
maybe as good as some people expected er around four
and a half, I think. But I think the cool
thing is this kind of goes into the Mariners have
kind of hit the skids a little bit, the Astros
have struggled. We're talking about the Rangers not having performed
up to our expectations, and guess what, They're in first

(21:54):
place and have won seven of ten. So I think
if you can struggle and stay in first place in
your division, that's a really good sign. Obviously, do we
think have the underperformed, Yes, but I'm not worried because
it's a long season, because they haven't dug themselves a whole.
Cory Seeger is very good. He's always been good. The
only thing that's held him back in his career are injuries,

(22:15):
So I'm not really assuming he stays healthy. I'm not
worried about any sort of prolonged slump or anything with
the Rangers at all.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Really.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
If I do think that the Rangers are going to
be able to pick it up sooner rather than later,
and getting Whyatt Langford off the injured listen a few
weeks that should be able to help them out as well.
As he was struggling a little bit to begin the
season at ifi expectations for him as well. And then
this has been a team that has succeeded expectations for
me a little bit and more specifically, just one specific
shall we say area of that team that'd be the

(22:44):
Bosston Red Sox in their pitching. Like with the Red Sox,
he expected them to be a little bit more of
an offense oriented team and Tyler O'Neil has been absolutely
incredible for them. But this pitching staff has been amazing.
Cooper Chriswall, he's getting the start. He's about a minus
one forty five to a minus bue fifty five favorite
against Washing in the national scene, and that it's not
to a massive exemp but they've been a little bit
of a surprise as well. On s games eight and

(23:06):
a half how do you view this one and the
Boston Red Side. So I've been pleasantly surprised by them
as far this season.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
I'm with you, Chris Wells, how Crawford like, the pitching
on this team has been really good, and I think
that's huge. It's always hugere baseball, but in this division
that's loaded with offenses and sluggers, like keeping the ball
in the park in the AL East is going to
be massive. And if they're going to be able you
mentioned Tyler O'Neil, So it's nice to be able to

(23:32):
score six runs randomly on a given night. But if
they're able to win enough of those three two, three
to one games in the middle of the summer, I
think Boston could be in a very interesting position late
in the year where they're probably not going to catch
like the Orioles or anything in September, but we could
possibly be talking about battling for a wild card, maybe
them in the race. I think this Ale East is

(23:54):
really loaded and really tough, but Boston's definitely showing that
you can't dismiss them.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yep, you can't dismiss them at all, and certainly this
is a team that cannot be dismissed as well, and
that'd be the Chicago Cubs. And I am so looking
forward to what we're going to be seeing on Saturday
in this one because Justin Seal, he's making his second
cern off the injured list, looks sharp to the first
time around. Pitch like four and two third setings scoreless
and then the bullpen completely gave that game away against

(24:19):
the Padres. I remember that very well. But now for Justin,
he's on the road going up against Paul Skens is
in his MLB debut.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
For the Pittsburgh Priorates.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Relative game with Pittsburgh in their minor league system, they
weren't having Paul Skens go very far, but he was
getting like fifteen strike guds FORER nine and Ennings.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
He was absolutely mowing them down.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
What are your expectations for this one and Paul Skeens
in his MLB debut, because this is one that has
been hyped up for a very long time and this
is one I'm certainly circling for Saturday.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
I am torn on this. The prospects lover in me,
as you know, used before it came over to action,
used to study prospects working at MLV pipeline prospect. Lever
in me is so excited to watch, you know, the
best pitching prospect in baseball, a super high prospect, make
his debut. The other side of me is saying, look,

(25:10):
the gap between Triple A and the majors is as
big as it's ever been. We saw that with Jackson
Holliday earlier this year. Obviously, pitchers and hitters are different,
but I think the hype here is so much. I
don't know how long he's gonna go in his major
league debut, and I feel like the more times I
refresh Twitter X or whatever it's called, that if Skeens

(25:31):
doesn't throw a perfect game, somehow, it's gonna seem like
a disappointment. I'm on the Cubs. I've already bet that
already on Skeens under six and a half strikeouts, and
I'm under him on one hundred and I forget the
number something strikeouts on the year. I think he's gonna
be very good. I just think the hype is insane
right now. That said, we'll see how it matches up.

(25:53):
I'll probably be on the Pirates on his next start,
but right now, for the debut, a couple early jitters
I would not be I would not be shocked, especially
against you know, the Cubs team that's really good.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
As joining me on the show, we do have William
Boro does great workover at Action Network, joined me right
here on the Baseball Betting Shilow, and I am one of.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Those people as well.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I very much am four fading a lot of these
guys in their MLB debut. I'm not sure how you
evaluate a lot of guys in their first start at
their second start, but I do think that when you
go from the miners to the majors, it is a
big jump, and we've seen a lot of guys fail
before they succeed. Heck, some of the world's greatest players,
like Alex Rodriguez was sent up and down a few times.

(26:33):
Jackson Holliday is a guy that flame down and whin
he resurfaces. I think that he'll be just fine. Grayson Rodriguez,
we all remember last year he had a miserable time
when he got called up by the Ools the first time,
need to be sent back down to the miners, and
then he found his footing. Just how do you take
a look at that dynamic, Because there are some guys
where it clicks worried away, but just in what I've gathered,

(26:54):
typically a guy actually needs to go from the miners
to the majors and then needs to get sent back
down to the maybe once or twice before they really
make it in the big leagues full time.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Yeah, add Mike Trout to the list of people who
went up and down. I don't put I kind of
look at it as like a first spring training start.
I'm not going to put too much into what Schemes
does tomorrow. If he goes out and he strikes everyone out,
that'll be electric, and that'll be awesome, But then we'll
also be like, Okay, what happens the next time he

(27:26):
faces a lineup or when teams get some film on him. Conversely,
if he goes out and walks the first four hitters
and gets absolutely shelled, it's like, Okay, I'm sure his
heart rate was a million. What happens when he breathes
and you know, doesn't have a whole bunch of friends
and family and attendance and all the other pomp and
circumstance that comes with your debut. I'm gonna watch it,

(27:47):
think we all are. It's obviously very exciting, but debuts,
I don't put too much stock in either way. I
think it's worth watching, it's worth taking major notes, but
from like a power rate point of view or anything,
I'm not going to move any numbers massively between his
first start and his second start. I'm going to watch
his first start, going to watch his second start, and

(28:09):
then kind of see, like, Okay, is the fastball playing,
is the breaking ball moving or anything different now? But
first two starts kind of just going to let him go.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yeah, I'm right there with you.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
And how much of a fear is it that he's
not even going to be able to factor into this decision?
Because I was alluding to it at the minor league lebble,
the Pirates weren't really having him go past like four
or so addings. He was on a very very tight
pitch gown. And I think that Skeins is actually going
to do fine in his debut, but I just don't
think that he's going to be out there long enough
to be able factor in. And this has been a
Pirates bullpend that in my opinion, has been a little

(28:41):
bit underwhelming this year.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Yeah, that's also plays to the under strikeouts prop I
mentioned earlier, is just how many innings is going to
have to actually do it? Yeah, I think that's always
the tricky part with the debut because even they haven't
stretched him out a ton in the minors, and even
if they stretch him out, when he throws a few
more innings, where's the kind of adrenaline and you can
tire yourself out without throwing a ton of pitches on

(29:04):
your debut, It'll be interesting. I think if you do
think Schemes is going to be electric and you're all
in on him because of what you mentioned, I think
probably targeting a first five is a way to go
if you want to back him, and that way you
don't have to worry about the pips.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
I'm right there with you.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
I think that that's a good way of being able
to go about it as well, and that is a
big fear that you have to have if you're going
full game on the Pirates, which is sort of why
I'm right there with you. I do lean a little
bit more to the Chicago Cubs in this matchup, especially
with a guy and Justin Seal that in his own right,
he was a fringe Scien candidate a season go as well.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
And William.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
When it comes to what we're all getting on Saturday,
We've got all thirty teams at Action.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
It's going to be a nice day baseball.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Anything else that you're taking a lucky in terms of
a game that you're going to be locked in on
and or a game that you might be placing a
better two on.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
No, I think we pretty much covered it. I think
the whole baseball world is zoned in on pebs Pirates,
the most hyped game and not the biggest matchup in
terms of you know, it's May tenth and not Central,
but yeah, Skeen's debut and the fact that he's not
just debuting against like you mentioned, any pitcher steals really
really good in his own right. So I think we

(30:11):
got a lot of pitching there that's pretty exciting.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
I do think that this is going to be a
fun day baseball. It's going to be great to be
able to see the debut of Skins and William. I
know that you've got a lot of affinity for these
young guys as you used to do a great job
over at mob Pipeline. Now you're doing amazing work over
at Action Network. Can you do more than just baseball
as well. I know that you're very dialed in on
all the playoff action that we're seeing in terms of
the NBA, NHL and so much more so, let the

(30:35):
get people at home know it's all on top for
you and how people are able to fall on on
social media and other platforms.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Yeah, I got everything at Action obviously baseball every day
but also NBA, NHL. Best bets every day is head
on over actionetwork dot com for everything and you can
follow me on Twitter and on Blue Sky at w
bore that's WBR and.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
William does a tremendous job. Take it a look at
this great.

Speaker 2 (30:57):

big thanks William for joining me on The Baseball Betting
Show now part of the Vison Family podcasts and coming

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Up breaking down every game every day in Major League Baseball.
This is the Baseball Betting Show. Here is your host,
Greg Peterson.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Co'm a right here, Love you Las Vegas for the
Baseball Betting Show with myself Greg Peterson, now part of
the Vson Family podcast. It is always great to get
William Boor aboard. He does an absolutely tremendous job over
at Action Network taking a look at this great game
of baseball that we all know and love. Every single
time he joins the show, I feel like we get
a little bit smarter and it's great to be able
to get his insights, so big thanks him for joining

(31:48):
me in the last segment. Now it is that time
the podcast they give you picks an analysis on every
game on the betting board for this Baseball Saturday as
we touch them all.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
If a game is listed on the betting board, Greg
has a side and a total on it, so it
is time to touch them all.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Do you know if that as per usual, any changes
that are made to these plays, we'll be listened up
on my Twitter Slashchacks feed as you did underscore ey
one and we're gonna be going in last excitation or
this is where we go to the Nation League games first,
then the American League games, any interleague games, those are
going to be at the bottom. That'll keep things all nice, neat,
clean and easy. So without further ado, let's haven on
this first game of nine oh one nine o two

(32:22):
on the betting board. It is the chicag Cubs. They're
gonna be on the road against the Pittsburgh Private, says
Justin Steele. The Man of Coe goes for the Cubs,
and it's the MLB debut of Paul Schemes. And this
is a close to Pickham game. Cubs, very slight favorites
set between minus one oh eight two a minus one twelve. Meanwhile,
with the Pirates, you'll find them as good as plus

(32:43):
one oh two, as bad as a minus one ten,
totals between seven and seven half on the seven a
half unders, minus one twenty two overs even on the
seven overs between minus one fifteen to a minus one
twenty and the unders any between minus one oh five
to two even money. And it's a circumstance where I'm
going to be taking a look at a seven over.
I did somebody total at some point three, and it's
much like what I was talking about with William Bore.

(33:03):
I think that Paul Skeins is going to go out
there and dominate. He had an era hovering right around
one when he was at the minor league level was
really giving him nothing whatsoever. We saw him at LSU
the way that he was able to be just flat
out a dominator at that level at college as well.
That said, he hasn't thrown more than seventy five pitches
in a start as far this season, has only went

(33:24):
past four and a third ennings once. The Pirates are
very much taking this with kids gloves as of right now.
As a result, I think that Paul Skeens is probably
going to be throwing four, maybe five innings and then
you give way to a bullpen that has been a
little bit less terrific thus far this season, David Bennard
rolld As Chapman both posting up north of a four
to five era. Pirates over all about sixteenth of the
big leagues in terms of bullpenning. Ray like what I've

(33:46):
seen out of Colin Olderman, and You've been able to
have a few guys like Hunter Strand and be able
to step up. But I think that this game is
very much going to be in the hands of the bullpen,
and for the chicag Cubs, they didn't let Justin Siel
go very far in his first start off the injured
list went his face up against the Padre's about a
week or so ago. I think that he's gonna be
able to go a little bit deeper in this start.
As for Justin Seal, he was really rolling in that

(34:06):
one when I believe it was four and two thirds
Sayings scoreless. He was not necessarily the world's greatest strikeout
pitcher last year, but still solid at about nine strikeouts for nine.
Unnings does a good job with reguards to his command,
and he's just backed up by a better lineup in general.
For the Cubs. He now have Cody Bellancher back and
the fold he goes ZPs today, that's absolutely massive. You've
got quite a few guys are able to find a
way to be able to get on base for the

(34:27):
Seam Mike Talkman entered it into the series with about
a four hundred on base. It's been a little bit
of an up and down season for Christopher Morell, but
he's been able to find it. Over the last seven days,
he's been able to built a few homers. He's had
two home runs in his last six games. Horner is
saying it two seventy five and he just.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Don't have that right now.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
With the Pittsburgh Pirates, o'deo Cruz has now been able
to give you five home runs, and you do have
a few guys have done an okay job of reaching base.
Connor Jones give you about a three sixty five on base,
Brian Reilds hating for about a three forty in terms
of his on base, but power numbers very much are
not there for the Pittsburgh Priorates and with the Cubs,
you do have to have a little bit of our station.
With his bullpen as well, entered into Friday twenty second

(35:03):
in the big leagues in terms of bullpenny right at
Barrel's Ley has not been nails like he was a
season ago, But you haven't got a long guy. And
Kika Tompson that's been able to do a solid job
Externi's coming over from the Asters. He's been able to
do a nice job as well. Again, I think the
Paul Skeins is going to be able to give you
a relatively good start here. Problem is, I just don't
think that he goes deep enough to be able to
do enough to factor into the decision for this one.

(35:24):
So it is a circumstance where I'm going to be
willing to take a look at a seven over semne
totals some point three and maybe the Cubs a minus
one twenty six favorites. So looking half the Cubs on
the money line and looking at the over nine to three,
nine of four, it is going to be that he
can overcride a pick. It's thee in line of Braves
on the road against the New York Mets. Christian Scott,
Great Scott is on the bump for the Mets, and
Matt max Fred is on the bump for the Barravos.
The Braves find themselves between minus one and fifty three

(35:46):
to minus one fifty five favorites. Between plus one thirty
eight to plus one forty is your number on the
Metropolitan seven and a half is the total overs between minus
one ten two minus one fifteen the unders between minus
one of five to a minus one ten right up
here is going to be on the over. It's on
my all that at a eight point three for Christian Scott.
His first start against the Tampa Bay Rays was a
very solid start and he goes out there. He goes

(36:07):
six and two thirds innings.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
The Laws won.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
It allows one walk, which was solid, but I go
back to his minor league numbers at Triple A Syracuse,
he did give up seven home runs and twenty five
plus innings. And I feel like we are going to
awaken a sleeping giant in the Atlanta Braves, a bunch
that has been slightly above average as far this season
in terms of home runs per game. I do think
that that is going to be going very much northward,
as they entered into the series with just two guys

(36:30):
with more than three home runs as far this season,
Marcelos who has been absolutely on a terror with twelve
home runs and Travis Arnaut with five. But as we know,
with the Braves, they were number one the big leagues
with regards to home runs per game.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
He sees a go.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
They still, even without a whole lot of the deep ball,
have been able to generate about five point one runs
per contest that ranks number four in the big league.
So I do think that they're going to be able
to find it there is He saw plenty of guys
are able to move the line, Orlando Rcio, Ronald the Couney, junior,
Travis Arnault I mentioned before, only between about a two
sixty two, two seventy for Kune Junior, even though the
power has down, still been able to swipe fourteen bags,

(37:03):
giving you about a three seventy on base. Michelaris has
done a good job inning for about a two to
fifty five. Alsie Albiesa has done a nice job moving
the line as well. And then for the New York Mets,
this team has been right around sixteenth in the Big
leagues in terms of runs per game. They really struggled
at home with their offense only aftering about three point
six runs per game at home, north of five point
three runs per game away from home city field. It
is a little bit more of a pitcher's ballpark, but

(37:24):
I do think that they're going to find it a
little bit more at home. Peter Blanzo, Francisco Lindor combined
fifteen home runs as far this season. Prom Is Thes
two guys al Dj Stewart are hitting a two to
fifteen or lower. But got guys like a Brett Eddy, Starling,
Marte Jeff macdeale hitting between about a two forty eight
too a two seventy. Here's in Bader Tyrone Taylor. Both
of these guys in north of a two seventy five
as well. So I do think that they're going to

(37:44):
be relatively fine and for the Bets, they become a
top ten team in terms of bullpenning aad thus far
this season. Edwin Diaz coming back in the Fold has
been massive, but now they're without their bridge guy in
Brooks Raley.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
They've dealt with.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Quite a few injuries in general in the bullpen, so
Red garrett A Lonthori Lopez who have been very solid,
but two three eras they're gonna need to continue to
be solid. And for the Atlanta Braves, they've got Tyler
Mansick now out of the fold, though I will say
the likes of Joey Menez, Jesse Chavez who's a little
bit of a long guy, brossi Oglesis they've been able
to do a good job as well. But for Max
Free his seven a half strikeouts for nine and ninnings

(38:15):
as far this season, that's a career low for him.
He's been giving up about three point three walks per
nine innnings, so that's spent a little bit uncharacteristic. He's
gotten the ra that is very much on par with
his fielding independent is Era is right around about a
four point five fielding independent in the same Vein hasn't
necessarily given up a ton of the deep ball, but
just hasn't been himself after he dealt with a lot
of injuries a season ago. And I do think that
the Mets are gonna be able to get to him

(38:36):
a little bit. But beyond that, I do think that
the Atlanta Braves is gonna be able to erupt with
their offense. By DK network right to pick is on
the over end for the Braves. I set their money
line at a minus one sixty seven. I was willing
to lay up to a minus one oh five on
laying a run half. Curdly, we're getting a plus one
ten there, So I'm gonna be taking the Braves laying
run half and a plus number in my right up
that is gonna be on this little over nine oh five,
nine oh six on the betting board. It is a

(38:57):
Philadelphi Phillies in there on the road. They're facing out
against the old Miami Marlins. Says it is to be
determined on the bump for the Miami Marlins and Taiwan
Walker goes for the Philadelphia Phillies. This is a game
that's presently off the board. This will be six Dos
Sanchez's start in the rotation. I'm not sure if he's
gonna be lifted. I'm not sure if he's doing with
an injury. But whether it be six Os Sanchez, whether

(39:19):
it be one of the young guys for the Miami Marlins,
perhaps this is gonna be one where they're gonna be
trotting out there. I believe it's Rodrie Munos. It's gonna
be a relatively similar handicap as I did set the
Philadelphia Phillies. You're at a minus one ad eight on
the money line, minus one seventeen on the run line,
and they might told the where an eight or less.
I'm gonna be looking at the over eight and a
half r ire to the under. Whether it's Munhos, whether

(39:41):
it's Sanchez. Both of these guys have've got a lot
of inconsistencies, as Munhos in its last darkout absolutely destroyed,
giving up six runs the La Dodgers. Meanwhile, for six
Os Sanchez, and it was awesome in twenty twenty, just
has never been able to develop as a pitcher. Both
of these guys are gonna be supported by a bullpen
that has been absolutely awful this year. Siriano with the
arth of a ten e hour after he was a

(40:02):
really reliable long guy. Last season has been rough. You've
got Brian Hoying who's got a two ERA, but if
you look at his advance numbers, he's been one of
the luckiest pitchers in all of baseball, and he's really
the guy that's carrying the mail for this Miami Marlins bullpen.
In no the Philadelphi Phillies they've got their bullpen issues
as well. They entered into the day on Friday twenty
first in the big leagues to Turards Bullpenny Ara. It's

(40:24):
just what you get from the Philadelphia Phillies. Like the
first six weeks of the season or so, then we struggle,
But now you're noticing the guys like Jose Alvarado, Gregory Soto,
Saranti Dominguez, they're starting to pick it up. And you've
been seeing that over the last few weeks. They've really
looked better in the bullpen. And for a tybal Walker,
I sat by question marks with him. He hasn't been
great to start out the season. He's got an earth

(40:44):
of a sixty ARA. He's given up three home runs
in twelve to two thirds innings. But I feel like
this is exactly what he needs to be able to
get right of Miami Marlinds team that has already quit
on the season. I wish I could call it anything else,
say it's not the players have quit, it's the front
office and whoever that glasses tweep is that took over
for Kim Ing. That's just not great to say the least.

(41:04):
But I'm like, you know that Brian daylor Cruz is
still going to give you a good effort. He's been
able to give you six plus home runs. He's been
able to about it two to seventy five. But then
you just take a look at these guys like Emmanuel
Rivera the entirety of the catcher's spot, with Christian Vesz
beth in Court leading the way, Tim Anderson, Jake Berger,
Josh Bell, all these guys getting a two ten or lower.
Getting Burger back is gonna help a little bit in

(41:25):
terms of the power numbers, but just don't have guys
that are able to move the line. With Luise Rice
being traded and for the Philadelphia Phillies, even with Tray
Turner around, the full still of Alec Bohm was providing
a four honred base. You've had Bryce Harper be able
to really pick it up for the team. He's up
to about a three eighty or so on base. He's
been able to supply nine home runs. Heck, you've even
been able to get Amando Soso got to start yesterday
to be able to move the line for you. Kyle

(41:46):
Schwarber's providing good power to Cassianis go zp yesterday. I know,
I think that this is just a completely outgun Miami
Marlins team and a team that I'm gonna be very
inclined to fade. I'm thinking that you get Sanchez against
Tama Walker and in this instance would be one to
lay up to a minus one fifteen on the Phillies
run line and then eight or less to the over
is what I'm looking on. The total eight and a
half higher the under, and I would need at least

(42:06):
plus one eighty nine to take a shot on the Marlins,
and if it's on six o, Sanchez probably still going
to be a relatively similar handicapped nine to seven, nine
to eight on the bank board. It is the Saint
Louis Cardinals on the road against the Milwaukee Bers. Freddie
Peralta goes for the Crew and Kyle Gibson is on
the bump for Saint Louis. Saint Louis is an underdog
of plus one forty two plus one forty two minus
one fifty five to minus one sixty is at a
number on the brew Crews seven and a half is

(42:28):
the total over the between minus one ten to a
minus one twenty meanders between even money and minus one ten.
And I said the Brewers out of minus one seventy
nine on the money line, they're willing to lay a
run half right now, the run lines are off the board.
I would have to think that you're able to get
some sort of a plus number and at a plus
one ten or higher, which I'm quite sure that you
should be able to get that I would be taking
a look at the Milwaukee Bers. For Kyle Gibson, he's

(42:50):
been a presentable starter thus.

Speaker 3 (42:51):
Far this season.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Has kept the ball in the r giving up about
one point two one runs per nine and Enning's about
three point two walks per nine. You know that you're
not gonna get a lot of straight with him about
six point seven straightcuts per nine and Ennings, but has
been a relatively steady, hold down the fort sort of pitcher.
Nothing amazing, nothing terrible, and he's actually been a little
bit better away from home, with a three to one
five away from Saint Louis as far this season. But

(43:14):
for Freddy Peralta recognized that he had that one rough
start about two weeks ago against Pittsburgh Pirates. But guy's
been absolutely dealing. He's getting over eleven straightcuts per nine innings,
has given up less at home run per nine ennings.
Walks can always be a little bit of an issue
with Freddy Peralta. He has been giving up a touch
more than three walks per nine innings. But on all
like what I've seen out of him, I do think
that for the Milwaukee Brewers are going to be able
to pick it up a little bit more. In terms

(43:35):
of a bullpen. It's been a little bit touch and
go for them thus far this season. That said, you
still have a bullpen that has so many guys that
were able to deliver last season. Hobie Millner, Joel Pieounce,
Elvis Piguerro, they were all able to give you SOMEB
three two yara a season ago. Now you've been able
to get some really good endings out of Trevor McGill's
posting up about a one or so arra as well.
So I do think that these guys moving forward are

(43:55):
going to be able to do a better job. Meanwhile,
you've got a Saint Louis Cardinals bullpen that was towards
the bottom of the b Leakes eight season ago. This
year they've been much better with Ryan Helsley actually being
healthy for this team. They pick up Andrew Kittrich from
the Tampa Bay Ray, so that has been quite helpful.
He's got the likes of Jojo Romero Nick Robertson, who
aren't great, but they're not terrible as well. But what
has been terrible for the same lost Cardinals has been

(44:15):
the lineup. They and the Pittsburgh Priorates are right at
the bottom of the National League in terms of run
creation and runs per game, and you just need to
be getting a little bit more pop on this lineup
as right now, your leader in home runs as Wilson Cartres,
and I know that he's been dealing with some sporadic
injuries last few days. He's now on the ten day
injured list. As I think they got hit on like
a backswinger or something like that, which means that he

(44:36):
had nobody entering into the day yesterday in the lineup
with an earth of four home runs. And these young
guys starts aren't moving the line. Lars Nowbar he currently
in minor lakes. Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman, these guys are
all letting below the nose sign of two hundred. Michael
Cinee has been hitting about it two twenty five and
Paul Goldschmid is hitting like a two hundred and he
hasn't provided any power whatsoever. Nolan Ernado, he's getting on base.

(44:58):
He's given you about a three fifty on base two
arm runs out of him as well. Meanwhile, for the
bur crew, do I think that there's gonna be a
little bit of aggression with some of these younger guys. Yes,
But at the same time I have been highly impressed
by Bryce Ray being a bit above a thrinner. Joe
yr Tiz has done a good job move the line.
He's also been able to supply a few home runs
for the team. You got Ree Hoskins. He's up to
eight home runs and getting back. Christian Yelich is big

(45:20):
as well. He had five home runs in the first
twelve games of the season, gets on the injured list,
he's come back, he's still hitting well above a three
underd for this team, So I'm very impressed there. I
do think that for the Birds they should be able
to go out there, get a few runs up on
Kyle Gibson and provide enough support for Freddie Perarlton to
get the job. And I do think that Pearlta gonna
give up a few walks. It's a Birrs bullpen that

(45:40):
has been a little bit touching. Gos I did something
I totally at eight point one. I do like the
over in this ordio. But with the Burrs out a
plus one ten or higher, want to lay a run
a half with them nine to nine to nine ten
on the banking board.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
He sais that rise.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Yes, we are on the Cincinnati They're undo the road
facing off Agains the San Francisco Giant, says Nick Lidolo
is on the bump for the Red Legs and Mason
Black gets the start for the San Francisco Giant. For
the Giants are friend themselves as slight home underdogs. You're
going to be getting them and between minus one oh
five to a plus one o two. Meanwhile, and between
minus one ten to minus one fifteen is at number

(46:10):
on Cincinnati.

Speaker 3 (46:10):
Seven a half is the total.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
The overs between minus one tend to a minus one fifteen,
the unders between minus one o five to minus one ten,
And I did somebody tell it at eight point two,
we're going to be over for the Reds. They did
enter into the day yesterday having scored four runs or
fewer in every game here in the month of May.
I do think that they're going to be able to
rise up a little bit more against a guy in
Mason Black, where the minor league numbers were very good,
and he's a guy that's from the old Lehigh Mountahawks,

(46:34):
so we absolutely love the Patriot League connection. And he's
been a fast riser out there in the minor Lakes.
But that said, he gets his first start against the
Philadelphia Phillies, gets lit up like a Christmas tree, giving
up five runs in four and a third endings, and
I do think that the just speed of the major
league game might be a little bit too much for him.
As of right now, he's got a fielding the pennant

(46:55):
that's well north of six. You can tell that he
just did not look sharp, and I do think that
there might be some retooling for him. Meanwhile, you take
a look on the flip side for Nick Loodola and
he has come off the injured list and he has
looked absolutely supreme, especially with his strikeout numbers. For Nick
Lodolo in twenty nine innings he has posted up thirty
seven strikeouts, so he's getting north of eleven punchouts ber nine.
Ennings has done a very nice job keeping the ball

(47:16):
in the yark, giving up just two home runs over
it starts. As far this season, he's got a fielding
and pendant as a two to seventy five, which is
actually lower than his two seventy nine era. Now he
has backed up I opened then has been a little
bit sketchy, to say the least for the Reds as
far this season entered in the day on Friday in
the bottom ten the big leagues with that regard, but
getting back Sam Moles Biggy began the season on the
injured list as yet to be able to give up

(47:37):
an earn a run. As far this season, Buck Farmer
has been able to do a nice job holding it
down with about a two sixty five Yari. Then you've
got a lot of guys that they're just hovering right
around about a four terms of their era, like Fernando Cruz,
Brent Sooner and need to get Alexa Cis online. He's
typically a good closer, has not been that thus far
this season. But they'llso go up against a San Francisco
Giants bunch that ranks twenty eighth in the Big leagues

(47:59):
in terms of open area. Has been less than terrific,
despite the fact that both of the Rogers brothers have
been relatively solid and community at all. He's a lockdown
closer that has been having his issues as far as
the season as well. But when you look at some
of these long guys like in Nick Avalla, they just
have not been able to do the job.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
For this seam.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
You have been able to get the world's greatest production
out of some like an Eric Miller as well. For
the San Francisco Giants, they always post up more runs
per game when they're away from home rather than at home.
That's just what you're gonna get at Oracle Park. For
Michael Komfordo has been able to give you seven home
runs getting in two seventy five I like what I'm
seeing there, but there's just a lot of guys in
general that aren't moving the line for this seam Ores, Hilaire, Wilmer, Flores,

(48:36):
Matt Chaman, all these guys are not only at a
two to eleven or worse, they're all providing a two
to ninety four on base or lower as well. John o'lee,
I think has done a better job at the plight
than his two sixty two average with two home runs
would indicate. And we've been able to get Lamont Way
Junior on base as well. But I said, it's been
a little bit rough for them, and for the Reds
it's been very top heavy with them as well. Ellie
Day La Cruz has been tremendous. He's been able to

(48:57):
give you north of three to fifty on base eight
home runs as far as the season. It was the
only guy in the starting line up yesterday though with
the north of four home runs, and most of these
guys just are not hitting for a lot of average.
Spencer Sier has been able to give you about a
three forty on base, but it was only eighty for
about a two thirty five average, and then not the
guys like Santiago has been Will Benson, Tyler Stevenson, Jamiir
Candelario Johnson India hanging a two twenty five or lower.

(49:17):
India has actually given you a relatively good on base percentage.
But that said, it's been a little bit sketchy with
this team. But that said, I do think that made
some black just not quite set for the big league level.
And both of these teams have been very much struggling
with their bullpen, and I trusted Nick Loodobo a little
bit more in the start, So I did set the
Reds out of minus one sixteen, gonna be willing to
take that money bind In did some My total at
an eight point two is I do think that both

(49:39):
of these bullpens you hack away some runs. So looking
at the over and the Reds on the money line,
nine eleven, nine twelve on the big board, the San
Diego Padres place the LA Dodgers. James Packson goes for
the Dodgers and Matt Waldrin is on the bump for
the Padres. Padres underdogs between plus one twenty four twelve
plus one thirty minus one forty two minus one forty
eight is that number on the Dodgers. Eight and a
half is the total overs between minus one fifteen one

(50:00):
twenty hundreds between even and minus one oh five. I
set the Dodgers out of bias one fifty four. If
you're looking to lay a run half with them, you're
gonna be able to get that number out of plus
one oh five. Would want to get a little bit
more than a plus one oh five. I'd be willing
to take the plus one oh five. That said, would
like to be able to get a little bit more
than that is. I mean, when you're looking at a

(50:21):
minus one forty money line, typically that run line is
gonna be a little bit more shall we say lucrative.
That said, I think that books are picking up on
what I have. The La Dodgers may either win by
multiple runs or they lose outright. Since the beginning of
the twenty and twenty two season, entering into Friday, this
team has won two hundred and thirty seven regular season games,

(50:41):
all but thirty six by multiple runs. James Paxon is
a little bit of a volatile guy, so only posted
up a three of six cras, so he's done a
good job of'll be able to contain things, but the
walks have been a big giant issue. In his most
recent start on Sunday, he did a better job of it.
But that's said for James Vaxx, and he's giving up
darn near about six half walks. For nine Ennings, his
field independent is a five forty eight ball. That era

(51:02):
is a pretty rock solid three point six and as
a matter of fact, he's been giving up a lot
more walks and strikecouts six more walks in strikecouts as
far this season. And for Batt waldern he's pitch better
than his five eighty two yarra would indicate he's given
up a little bit of the deep ball with giving
up north of one point two home runs. N Ennings
himself has a little bit of a walk. Say she's
given up about three point two balks per nih and Ennings,
and that's probably not going to play against an LA

(51:24):
Dodgers unit that has just been able to rip the
cover off the ball all season long. I love what
I've seen out of Mookie Bets along Showotani at the
top of the fold. Shoiotani needs to be talked about.
Is just the best hitter in all baseball, not just
the best Shall we say two way.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
Player, what have you?

Speaker 2 (51:39):
But I mean he's got eleven home runs with a
four to twenty five on base entering into the series.
This guy has been absolutely supreme. Meanwhile, I've got Mookie Bets.
He's been able to provide a four to fifty on base.
He's been able to ply six on runs of his
own tasker, and Andez has been able to do a
rock solid job. He's been able to supply ten home
runs as far as the season as well. And then
you've got the legs with Will Smith Freddie Freeman in
above a three D with there of a three eighty

(52:00):
five on base. You have had a few guys at
the bottom of fold not ass the hold up their
end of the building. Chris Taylor, Gavin Lux, James Allman.
They've been a little bit rough, but I don't know.
It's been great for the LLI Dodgers across the board,
and now they're in the top eight in terms of
bullpen anyway. They're dealing with Heavian Phillips being on the
injured list, but as he goes out, you get Blake
trying in back in the fold. He was a very
good reliever when he was fully healthy about a few

(52:21):
seasons ago. Danny Outson has been relatively reliable for this team,
and we'll see if they can get something out of
JP fire Ice. And but for the San Diego Padres,
they've been about a league average bullpen thus far this season.
I actually like a lot of the moves that they
made in the offseason. Bringing Yuki matsuuy from the knee
Poem Baseball League was good, and Yell de los Santos,
Juanni Peralta. These are guys with a good track record
of success in Roberts Wris has been quite good in

(52:42):
that reliever spot as well. But that said, I do
think that for the LLI Dodgers, they're gonna be able
to get to Matt Welder in here. I do think
that they're gonna be able to put up quite a
few runs. So this is a circumstance where I did
set the LA Dodgers at a minus one fifty four
on the money line, but gonna be taking a look
at that plus one oh five run line. So I'm
looking there with the Dodgers and did something told two
point seven. So here at the eight and a half,
I do like the over, and I do like laying

(53:03):
a run a half with the LA Dodgers nine thirteen,
nine fourteen. On the betting board, it is the Minnesota
Twins on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays as
Kevin Gosman goes for the Jays and got Simeon Woods
Richards going for the Minnesota Twins. Twins or an underdog
of between plus one thirty seven plus one forty five
between minus one fifty two to minus one sixty two

(53:23):
is at number on Toronto seven a half is. The
total over is minus one fifteen, the under is minus
one oh five, and I did set the Blue Jays
out of minus one sixty eight on the money line.
If you're looking at layer run half, you're gonna be
getting that more than neighborood about a plus one thirty five,
I'm gonna be looking there. I needed at least a
plus one eighteen to be able to take a shot
with Kevin Gosman. He was dealing with some arm fatigue.

(53:43):
You could tell that he just was not getting in
the work that you'd expect during spring training. He's now
been able to really find his footing. His last few
starts have been Barry Rock sold and this is certing
to be the Kevin Gosman that we all know in love.
He has given up in terms of verned runs a
grand total two in lines four starts. Gave up a
few underd runs and that started against the Kansasilly Rails.
But swinging this stuff is back. He got eight strikeouts

(54:05):
in his last start against the Washington Nationals. The command
has been relatively solid, giving up just three walks over
the course of his last three starts. So, Kevin Gonzman,
he has been able to do a nice job, but
be able to find himself once again. Now, if you
do have trepidation with the Toronto Blue Jays, has has
been a bullpen that has been dead last in the
Big league's in terms of ERA. I think that they're
better than this. You've got a pair of guys at
Eric Swanson giord Ermano that started out the year on

(54:26):
the injured list. These two guys should be able to
hop out that bullpen. Tim Mays the last year at
a sub two era, he's been posting up north of
a sixth. That's far this season the real question mark
I have on it, honestly, with the Toronto Blue Jays,
bats says, I feel like we've just overrated these guys
for way too long because you've got Flagger or Junior
is really starting to pick it up. He's up to
about three fifteen in terms of base power. Numbers are

(54:47):
down by at the very least. He's moving line. But
likes of George Springer who's on the fold yesterday, Cavan
Biggio Boba, shit, these are guys hitting a two twenty
or lower right now. He's got Aleander kirkout the fold
as well as Dandy Jansen has actually done half way
decent out for the Seam. But Justin Turner has been
the man that has been just carrying this lineup. It's
been a little about sixty five three thirty five on base,
he's been able to supply for um runs and for

(55:08):
the Minnesota Twins, after a very brutal start to the season,
they're starting to pick it up now. They still have
the guys like Christia Vasquez, Manuel Margo, Kyle Farmer, Carlos Santana,
these are guys hanging blow it two hundred. But Ryan
Jeffers has really been the man for the Seam. He's
been able to supply about a three to eighty on base.
He's found himself up to about adom runs as far
this season. Carlos Korea coming back is big Jose Miranda.

(55:30):
He's been able to find himself as well after the
Minnesota Twins. This has been a pretty rock solid bullpend
as far this season. You got you on it on
who's back to the fold after he missed the beginning
part of the season. One of the better closers they
are going to find in the big league, so they
haven't to even necessarily utilize him too much in that
closers role, which I do find to be intriguing for
a bullpen on the ranked tenth of the big leagues
in terms of VRA Cole Sands, brock Stewart. He has
been relatively solid in for Simeon Woods. Richards began the

(55:53):
year at the minor league level and has been rock solid.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
In four starts.

Speaker 2 (55:56):
He has given up just five runs, four of which
were earned in twenty and two thirds sinnings. Is yet
to give up the deep ball swinging. His stuff has
been pretty rock solid. Two of these starts to come
against the Chicago White Sox, so so you've got your
question marks there. He face off against Caecatto Marin is
a team that is a little bit light inning though
what do we call the.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Toronto Blue Jays at this point as well?

Speaker 2 (56:15):
But so far, so good. I do think that he's
doing for a little bit of aggression, though. I do
think that Kevin Gosman gonna be able to go in
there do a relatively solid job, and I do think
that the Blue Jays are going to start to pick
it up a little bit. I do think that this
is still a little bit of an overrated lineup. That said,
I do think that Kevin Gosman goes in there, does
this part, and I do think that the bullpen is
going to pick it up a touch. I do think
that the seven and a half just a little bit

(56:35):
too love. Something I told at some point eight, I'm
looking at the over and I'm gonna be willing to
lay a run half with Toronto nine fifteen nine sixteed
on the bank board. The Tampa Bay Rays are playing
us to the New York Yankees. As Nester Cortez is
on the bump for the Yankees, Zach Little is on
the bump for the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Rays
do find themselves as a very slight home underdog between
plus one oh five to plus one twelve. Minus one

(56:55):
twenty to minus one twenty five is that number on
the Yankees. Eight is the total the difference between minus
one ten two minds one fifteen hundreds between minus one
of five to eight minus one ten And I'm gonna
be looking at the Yankees in this spot. I was
wanting to lay up to a minus one twenty eight
with them. Now for Nesser Cortest, he has not been
the same picture when he has been away from home
rather than when he's been at home. And this is
the big trepidation that you have with him. Since the

(57:16):
beginning of the twenty and twenty three season. He is
posting up in the era that is darn near about
two and a half points higher when he's on the
road rather than when he is at home. This is
a Tampa Bay Rays lineup, though, that is in pretty
rough shape. You have been able to get Raindyer Rosereina
going a little bit more with the deep ball, but
he's still providing less than a two forty on base.
He's hitting a buck forty four overall for the season
as he sak Parades has really been the man for

(57:39):
this team that has had to drive in a little
bit of everything. He's currently hitting for a three eighty
six on base and plus home run. And say you
still do have guys like a Richie Palasio's, Harold Ramirez
throwing their jury, Calbreo, Johnny DeLuca. These are all guys
that have done a solid job hitting at least a
two to sixty for the scene, but Yandy Diaz is
struggling at the top as well. They're just now getting
Josh lowback in the fold as well. For the New

(58:00):
York Yankees, I do think that they're going to do
a nice show. I'll be able to support Neser Quartest.
I've got a bullpen that currently ranks number one the
big leagues with Ian Hamilton, Ron Mannacchio doing a great job.
From last season, Klay Holmes has yet to give up
a run thus farthest season he's been that good. Luke
Weaver has been able to become a relatively solid blong guy.
And the lineup is much better than.

Speaker 3 (58:18):
It was this season.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Go as well, els Erdugo, Anthony Volpe, Anthony Rizzo. These
are all guys in between about a two fifty two
to two sixty alsop playing at least a three thirty
three on base, John Carlos sand has become a little
bit more of an all or nothing hitter, but he's
been able to give you eight home runs. Aaron Judge
won Sota eight plus home runs apiece. Now for Judge,
he's been able to give you three sixty five on base.
Juan Soto has been one of the best hitters in
all of baseball thus far this season. And for the

(58:39):
Tampa Bay Rays, this team, uncharacteristically, it's currently in the
bottom five of the big leagues. Turns a bullpenny, right,
I think that they're gonna be able to pick it up.
The event's numbers show that they are a little bit
better than this, but film Aton Kris Devinski posting up
north of five eras that has not been terrific. If
you got Garrett cleven Gershawn Armstrong, these guys have been
able to give you some.

Speaker 3 (58:56):
Three two ERA.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
And for Zach Little, he's done a nice job as
a starter ever since being elevated to a starter. Going
from the bullpen, he's maybe able to be very good
at terms of his commands. Five blocks at thirty nine
innings as far this season, he's getting a little bit
north of nine and a half punch us for nine
innings three r A. The fielding dependent very much. The
Ports said he's only given up three one runs in
a thirty nine innings as far this season, with having
given up two earned runs or fewer in each out

(59:19):
of his last two starts as well, and said I
do think that he's gonna have some circles here against
the Yankees. I do think the Nacer Cortest gonna be
able to do a formidable job in this spot, and
then from there the bullpen is gonna be able hold
it down. I do think that the Yankees knife into
this Tampa Bay Race bullpen as well, which is why
I did somebody toil of at eight point two. I'm
gonna be looking at the over and with the Yankees
gonna be willing to lay up to a minus one
twenty eight on this money line, Nin's up T nine

(59:40):
eighteen on the benning board. It is the Houston Assers
they have throwat they're facing off against the Detroit Tigers,
says it is for the Tigers, mister Tarik's Google going
for them, and condisian Avi it is on the bump
for the ashers and the ashers to find themselves as
an underdog. You're going to be getting them between a
plus one ten to a plus one sixteen and between
minus one twenty five minus one thirty is the number

(01:00:01):
on Detroit. Seven is a total heavy juice on the
over between minus one fifteen two minus one twenty five
the unders between minus one to five two a plus
one to five. I'm gonna be taking a look at
the over in the spot did sell my total at
a seven point seven, But I'm also going to be
willing to take the Detroit Tigers. I did set them
as a favorite of minus one twenty eight. Wouldn't want
to be going really any further than this, but I'm

(01:00:22):
going to be willing to lay this summer at serious.
Google has just been that good as far this season,
and while Christian Avier has looked much better this season
than he did eight seas ago, he is coming off
the injured list, and it is always one of those
cases where with these guys coming off the injured list,
I do typically fade them in that first start coming out,
as he's making his first start in about three or
so weeks. In his four starts as far the season,

(01:00:43):
buck fifty four yarra the advanced numbers showed that he
did not pitch quite that well though, about seven strikeouts
to four walks per nine innings. His swing of mid
stuff has really been down since the middle of last season.
Like I don't know what it was, but in like
late June early July, you could see just a little
litle bit of a decline on that front Endree Schooble
has been absolutely masterful when he has been in Detroit

(01:01:04):
since coming out the Interurlist towards the back half of
the twenty twenty three season in Detroit. In this Science Fan,
he's got a sub to era that's far this season,
it's posting, got a two to eight fielding independent with
giving up a half home run per nine ings, one
point two strikeouts of one point three walks per nine innings,
and he's backed up by one of the best bullpens
they're gonna find in the big leagues. Meanwhile, it has
been one of the worst bullpens in the big leagues

(01:01:25):
for the Easton Asters. It's something that we were alluding
to when we were chatting in the last segment, the
fact that for the Houston it just feels like the
depth of this bullpen without having actor niz Ryan Stannig,
it's really suffered. Meanwhile, for the Detroit Tigers, that's really
their mo Well. Jason Fully has been a relatively solid
closer for the seam, Relly Sands, Tyler Holton, will vest
turn near everyone in this bullpen has a sub three

(01:01:47):
five ERA. You've been able to get some really good
endings out of someone like an Alex Faedo is a
little bit of a failure of a serterer, but has
gone into the bullpen. He's been able to do a
relatively solid job. Shelby Miller has been rock solid. And
for Detroit this is a bottom ten team in the
Big League with regards to runs per game, but they've
been doing a good job. We'll be able to get
to four on the regular. It's seen a little bit
of a downtake here in the last week or so,
but have Riley Green doing a nice job. That's flying

(01:02:09):
the boom. It's been able to give you north of
the three sixty onmbies with nine home runs. As far
as the season, Mark Canna, yes, he can give you
about three fifty on base Alllong with win Seal Peretz.
The young guys have really been able to step up
as it's a lot of the more veteran guys like
Parker Meadow's Jake Rodgers, Hovey bias getting both of them
in nos time tinner and you just need to get
Spencer Turklesen going head a yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
But I mean, this guy still has your home runs.

Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
He's hitting about it two twenty five. Meanwhile, for you Sin,
the hitting has really not been the issue in my opinion.
Got a trio guys Jordon Ovrez, Kyle Tucker, rosel Twove.
We've all been able to supply some plus home runs.
Duckers up to twelve, that's tied for the big league lead.
He and l two By both give you north of
a three eighty five on base. Jeremy Paine is hitting
durn near three forty. Alex Bregman has really been struggling.

(01:02:52):
But I mean other than he and Jose Ray, who's
been out of the fold for this lineup regularly, I mean,
it's been a relatively solid run of things. But gosh,
hater Ryan Presley both posting up in the era that
is well north of a four to five. Ryan Obray,
who posting up about a three seventy nine aram being
used up yesterday. That has been hurting this team a
little bit as well. And I do think that's Google
gonna be able to go out there get the job
done for the Detroit Tigers. So willing to lay up

(01:03:14):
to a minus one twenty seven with the Tiger's money
line and did something toll at some point seven nights.
I do think that the Tigers are going to be
able to get to this bullpen. So I do like
the over, and I do like the money line of
Detroit nine nineteen ninet twenty On the bank board, the
Cleveland Guardians get the throwa to face off against the
Chicago White Sox. Mike Clevenger is on the bump for
the White Sox and Dristin McKenzie is on the bump
for Cleveland. Cleveland between a minus one fifty five to

(01:03:35):
a minus one sixty two favorite and between plus one
thirty six oh plus one forty five is your number
one the south Siders. Eight is the total hundreds between
minus one fifteen o one mins and twenty d overs
any between even m minus one oh five In circumstance
where if you're taking a look at laying a run
and a half with the Cleveland Guardians, you're finding that
at about a plus one oh five, and I'd be
willing to lay that run line. I was willing to

(01:03:55):
take even money or better with the Cleveland Guardians. Bet
a little bit of a rocky start to the series
for the c eveand Guardians, but I fully expect them
to be able to pick it up in For the
Chicago White Sox, though, the offense has looked a little
bit better with Tommy Fan being able to be about
a three hundred, maybe able to get someone in Brian Ramos,
who's seen a very limited amount of hat pats, but
he's been able to infuse some life into this lineup
piece a young twenty two year old. It still is

(01:04:17):
the case where you've got the lakes of v boy
and men as Andrew Bennettendee throwing there, Andrew Vaughn guys
like this hitting below a two ten that has just
been absolutely killer for this bunch. Paul the Young has
been able to give you a little bit of something,
but he still has relatively suspect him. For the Cleveland Guardians,
it's been rough for this team. On the offensive side.
Things with Steven Kuana before he was doing a great
job at the top, hitting about a three fifty. But

(01:04:37):
so if Dylan Fry, who's been able to for Darnia
three hundred for the seam Josh Naylor, he continues to
be able to match Lebon pose Ramirez a combined eighteen
old runs entering and yesterday Naylors giving you about a
three sixty five on base. Do you need to get
a little bit more towards the bounding of the foal?
The Ron Loreano whenever you throw out their Aulson Edges
at the cancer spot, Rits and Freeman, these are all
guys hitting him below them noase line of a two hundred.

(01:04:58):
But for the Cleveland Guardians, you know that this bill
and is going to be very rock solid, a top
three team in the big leagues. With regards their bullpen era,
as they sent out Tyler Beattie, it was really like
the lone untrustworthy guy in this bullpen. But you look
at the likes of same Iages, Kate Smith, Tim Herron Hutter, Gattis.
All these guys I've been able to supply a sub
three five earing for the White Sox entering it yesterday

(01:05:18):
slightly below average with reguards their Bupenny Ray John Brebby
has been relatively solid, and if you don't have Michael
Kopak giving up bombs, he's honestly been relatively soldil Ont
Jordan Leisure saw my question works with some like Steven Wilson.
When we've had some of these older veterans like Tim
ill out, there has been a little bit less than
shall we say, amazing. But for Mike Clevenger has just
dealt with so many injuries over the last few seasons.

(01:05:40):
They gave him a start a few nights ago and
he just gets absolutely lit up in that start. I
believe that he gave up four runs, three which were
earned over the course of two winnings, just could not
find the zone to save his life. I think that
he's going to be a little bit better this time around.
And for Tristan McKenzie, he's someone that came off of
injury all throughout twenty twenty three, but now he's been
able to find his footing with two runs or fear

(01:06:01):
surrendered in each out of his last four starts. Walks
with a little bit of an issue with him, he
has given up about five walks for nine and he's
given up two plus walks in three of his last
four starts, but the strike cuts are back six plus
strikeouts in each out of his last four starts. He's
been able to do a relatively solid job containing the
deep ball, giving up five home runs in thirty four
innings as far this season, And he does get to
go up against the Chicago White Sox team that entering

(01:06:23):
into the night on Friday, dead last in the Big
Leagues with regards to total home runs. For the Cleveland
Guardians then being able to up their power, I think
is going to be just enough for them to be
able to cover this run line. And I do think
that Mike Clevenger, so he looks a little bit better
in the start, I do think that he's still gonna
have a little bit of a tough time with location.
Did tell I tell at some point seven the White Socks,
I've really had a tough time being able to move
the line all season long. And for the Cleveland Guardians

(01:06:44):
without Stephen Kwan, we have seen a down take with
regards to their offense as well. So I do like
the under and I do like the run line of
Cleveland nine twenty one, nine twenty two. On the banking board, hegains,
say Royals around the road facing go off against the
La Angels. Cole Reagans is on the bump for the
Royals and Tyler Anderson is on the bump for the Angels.
Angels or an underdog between plus one twenty to plus
one twenty five anywhere between minus one thirty three to

(01:07:04):
minus one forty two is that number on Kansas City
to Ons game. It's eight the overs between minus one
ten to a minus one fifteen, the andreds between minus
one of five to a minus one ten. I set
this line out of minus one thirty on the Royals
money line. If you're looking to lay a run and
a half, you're only getting about a plus one twenty.
So we're gonna be waiting on a little bit of
movement here. If we can get this down to a
minus one thirty, so about three cents of lower on

(01:07:27):
that minus one thirty three that I'm seeing right now,
I'd be willing to take a shot on the kncite Royals. Meanwhile,
if we can get up about five cents, so about
a plus one thirty plus one thirty one in the Angels,
that's where I be landing. That's all sudden done. I'm
hoping to be able to get a little bit of
a play.

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
On the Royals.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
I do think that when it's all said and done, though,
that I do think that there's gonna be steam coming
in on Kansas City. But that's a little bit of
wait and see mode for Cole Reagan's he has been
absolutely masterful since coming over to Kansas City. Since he
was dealt by the Texas Rangers last season two ninety
one or a two to forty four fielding depend and
getting eleven point three strikeouts to zero point four on
runs per nine innings in a City Rails uniform. So
he has went out there he has absolutely delivered time

(01:08:03):
and time again. No for the Lla Angels, this lineup
has been quite a bit better over the last few days.
There's still no doubt about it, missing Mike Drout, but
you know what, for the La Angels, you're finally getting
something out of Joeydell, who they have set up and
down from the minor league level about one hundred million
million times, but he's been able to deliver for the team.
Taylor Ward has been stuck on seven home runs for
quite some time, but he along with Joidel are both

(01:08:25):
thinking about it. Two sixty five, Willy Calhoun has been
able to give it a little bit of something for
this lineup, You've been able to have Nolan Chanal give
you just a little bit of something on the front
of just being able to move the line as well. Meanwhile,
for the Kancity Rails, this unit provides about five runs
per game when they're at home. When they're away from home,
it's more like four runs per game. They had a
nice out person on Thursday where they put up double

(01:08:47):
figures and got Salvadarperez, Bobby what Junior have been incredible
combined thirteen home runs entering into Friday. Both of these
guys sitting north of the three fifteen, but still have
guys that they just need to give you a little
bit more consistency. Got the like Savannah Fraser and fro
Kyle Isbell, M J. Melendez currently a two twenty year
lower not getting a lot of pop out of these guys.
But for the Kansay Royals, even though the bullpen has

(01:09:08):
been pretty solid as far this season, I do think
that you're gonna see a little bit of a downtake
there as well. James McArthur has been acting up a
little bit. I love John Triver what he's able to
bring to the table. And now al Zerpa has been
a relatively good long guy, but Chris Randt and Will
Smith these are very untrustworthy relievers. Meanwhile, for the l Angels,
he says has been a bottom five team towards Bullpenny
Ray as well, Matt Moore, Carlos the sevens. We're solid
in the eighth and ninth inning. Last season, I've got anything,

(01:09:30):
but thus far this season, Amir Garrett has clearly watched
Hunter Strickland honestly hasn't been awful. I do think that
that's going to be. He's starting to take a little
bit of a downturn. And for Tyler Anderson, even though
the ERA is not too bad, I do think that
there's a lot of warning signs that things could be getting,
shall we say, a little bit ticy with him currently
a two seventy four ERA, but when Tyler Anderson is on,

(01:09:51):
it's typically because he's not giving up a lot of
walks six point eight. Strake has a three point eight
walks for nine and hes and though he's got a
two seventy four ARRA he does have a fort to
eighty three fielding to so it's a little bit of
caution there as well. So it's a very interesting circumstance.
Like I said, I hope we can get the Royals
more around a minus one thirty. But that's all said
and done, I'm thinking that I'm probably gonna get a

(01:10:11):
north of plus one thirty on the La Angels. And
with regards to Solo, I did something I told it
at a point three is I do think that we're
going to see Cole Wagan see a little bit of
aggression moving forward. And for Tyler Anderson, I certainly don't
think that he's pitching as well as that raw eura
would indicate. So looking at the over and like I said,
hopefully a minus one thirty or less on the Royals
money line nine twenty three, nine twenty four on the
bank board, the Oakland A's are on the road facing

(01:10:33):
off against.

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
The Seattle Mariners. Says Joey.

Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Yes, this is getting this serve for the A's and
it is Bryce Miller on the bump for the Mariners.
No numbers up on this game, as it was unsure
of whether or not Joeys this was going to begin
to start or someone else until late in the night
on Friday. So that's why we have no numbers up
on this game. But that's up with the Mariners something
out of minus one ninety two on the money line,
I'd be willing to take pretty much even money or

(01:10:57):
better to lay a run half with them and somebody
total where seven a half or less. I'll be looking
at the over in eight or higher to the under.
For Joeyss, he got a little bit of a cup
of coffee at the big league level last season with
two starts. Didn't necessarily perform the world's greatest sires.

Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
He gave up eight.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Runs, earned nine runs a total of ten innings at
the big league level of season going for the Triple
A Las Vegas Aviators has been a little bit of
rough govid for him. Now it's out there in the
PCL where eras just get all sorts of jacked up.
But six h four Yaris wasn't getting a lot of strikeouts,
was giving up north of three walks for nine innings.
I don't necessarily think that he's big league ready now.

(01:11:33):
The good news is he's backed up by a bullpenal
of the Oakland a's that's in the top half of
the big leagues, and they have been able to do
a really good job all season long. I like what
I'm seeing on Danny Amenez Mason Miller, if you're able
to get to him, which I think that that may
be a little bit unluckately in this case, but he's
been able to sply a book fifty aar A Lucas
Hert Sage, j Auston Adams, He's the guys give you
a sub three era as well. So I mean, these
guys have all been able to perform it. I don't

(01:11:55):
think that s is gonna be able to live up
to his billing, though. I will say for Seattle now
aftering the fews runs per game of any American League
team at home thus far this season, and for Seattle
it has been very rough in terms of the offense,
as you don't have Cal Rawley has now being able
to fly nine home runs, but he Mitch Garver, Mitch Haniger,
Ore Polonko, Dylan Moore, Luis su Riez, all these guys

(01:12:16):
running a two fifteen or lower. He only had two
guys in the starting line up yesterday hitting above a
two forty three that'll be Josh Ross, who's provided north
of four on our base. He has been tremendous, and
then Julia Rodriguez who's hitting about two sixty two but
not drawing a ton of walks in one home run
and one hundred and forty nine at bats a's far
the season mostly this for Oakland. They actually lead the
leg in terms of home runs per game away from

(01:12:37):
home thus far the season as Brent Rooker and Jay
Langolaire as well Shay Bangs they both were entering into
yesterday with nine home runs apiece. Man, this team is
not moving line though. The opening's in the bottom five
of the big leagues with regards to batting average. With
regards to on base percent, you're just not getting a
lot there. As he's got so many guys like Lawrence
Butler I was mentioning with Lango Laire's Ryanoda has been

(01:12:58):
a little bit in and out of the full Brad Harris,
you're able to go down the list of guys hitting
a two fifteen or lower JJ blade and has been
able to give you north of a three hundred on
base in. Abraham Torrow, the former Seattle Mariner, has been
able to do a solid job on that front. But
I do think that you're gonna be able to see
another spectacular starve for me Seattle Mariners erter as Bryce
Miller has been on point all season long. He out

(01:13:18):
of all the Seattle Mariners erters, honestly probably gives up
the most walks of any of them, about two point
eight walks Bernian Ennings and has supplied about one point
five home runs ber nine innings, but he's kidding about
nine strikeouts for nine and Ennings. Miller has just been
much more comfortable when he has been at home rather
than away from home really throughout the entirety of his career,
posing up just a two twenty two ERA with three
home runs a twenty four and a third innings thus

(01:13:39):
far the season at home, and I do think that
he's going to be able to fly another good start
against an Oakland a team that with having joy Sis
out there in the start, I don't have a lot
of faith in them seven and a half for less.
Looking at the over eight or I er to the
under end pretty much even money or better, want to
lay a run in line with the Mariners would need
at least plus one eighty three to take shot on
Oakland nine to twenty five nine twenty six seven billingboard,
the Baltimore Oyols playoffs years and the Diamondbacks. Ryan Nelson

(01:14:01):
goes for the Sinks, and John Means well, he means
business and he's on the bump for Baltimore. Baltimore hang
between minus one sixty eight to minus one seventy five
favorites plus one forty five plus one fifty three is
your number. On Arizona, eight to eight and a half
is the total on the eighth, the overs mince well twenty,
the unders even on the eight and a half under
is minus one twenty and the overs even. And for
the Orioles, I did set them on the money line

(01:14:22):
out of minus one seventy three. If you're looking at
lay run a half, you're getting a plus one twenty.
Was well to take a plus one ten or higher
for John Means has just dealt with so many injuries
over the last few seasons. But before the Orioles actually
became popular, before they actually got good, this punch was
really relying upon John Means to be that ace pitcher
for them, and he was an All star a few
seasons ago. Was able to show that off in its

(01:14:44):
first start of the season. He came out there and
he delivered really good length. He was able to shove
for I believe it was seven score of sentings, punching
out eight, did not give up a single walk. John
Means is back to the John Means that we all
know love. He's never been like a demonstrative strikeout picture,
but it's he's been a good command pitcher. Meanwhile, for
Ryan Nelson, he's honestly got an ERA about four points

(01:15:06):
lower on the road than at home since beginning part
of the twenty and twenty three seasons. Since the beginning
of twenty twenty three, is ERA on the road is
offering right around about a three seven, three eight. I'm
not going it amazing, but it's not bad as only
Ari's north of seven. So that has been something to
behold to say the lease. And for Ryan Nelson, this
is going to be his first start since May fifth,
and his second start since April eighteenth. He has spent

(01:15:28):
a lot of time out of the fold for this team,
so that it has been a little bit of an issue.
And when he's went north of two innings in a
start as far this season, he has given up three
plus runs in all but one of them, so there's
massive issues there. And now he has to go up
against the Baltimore Oils team that's currently number one of
the big leagues with regards to home runs per game
each other top eight batters in terms of that pats
as far this season. I've all supplied at least five
home runs as far this season at all but two

(01:15:50):
of those guys ranging at least a two sixty five.
As of right now, Gunnar Anderson has been the man
that has been leading the way. He entered into the
series with ten home runs as far this season. You've
been able to just have really good platooning splits as
well as this team has so much depth that they're
able to put out there a different lineup for both
rightis and lefties, and then for the AARs and the Diamondbacks.
The lineup has been just fine. This has been a

(01:16:12):
top ten team in the big leagues with the guards
runs per game. And this is bite the fact that
Corbyn Carroll has just not been great this far the
season two on runs hitting about a two hundred. But
Christian Walker can tell Marte both of these guys have
been able to sply with six plus home runs as
far this season, Marte about a three fifty on base
walker close to du a three to ninety five on
base load of square L's five home runs, but he
founded about a to eighty in terms of zambase. But

(01:16:32):
if you look at the guys like a Randall Gritcha
kidding at two sebody, Jake McCarthy, Jack Peterson, both of
these guys a darnear three hundred, they do have a
very solid lineup, including Blaze Alexander the young guy that
should be able to put some runs up on the board.
But for the Aarsenda Diamondbacks, this is a bullpen that
has been touch and go, to say the least as.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
Far this season.

Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
There's lightly below average bullpen with dealing with the injuries
to Luis Friez along with Miguel la Castro, but they
bring him at bowman that elevates this bullpen a little bit.
I like what I'm seeing Ryan Thompson along with the
young guy and just Martinez. And for the Orioles, as
long as they can stay away from Craig Gimberl throwing
the ninth inning, I think that this team is going
to be relatively fine. They're back in the top half
of the big leagues terms of Bullpenny Ara, having the

(01:17:11):
likes of Junior Cano, Jacob Webb, Danny Kabloom all being
able to do a rock solid job. All these guys
have been able to apply you with a sub three era.
I do think that John means going to be able
to lend a good start, and I do think that
the Orioles hop all aboard our good friend and mister Nelson.
So circumstance where I did some my total at eight
point nine at an eighty two and eight and a half,
I do like the overend. I'm going to be one
to lay a run a half with Baltimore nine twenty seven,
nine twenty eight on the bank board, the Washington Nationals

(01:17:32):
on the road facing off against the Boston Red Sox.
Cooper Criswell is on the bump for Boston. Jake Irvin
is on the bump for the Nationals. Nationals are between
plus one thirty h plus one thirty five hundred dogs
minus one forty five to minus one fifty five is
at abron Boston eight a half. Is he totally under
his mines one fifteen and the over his mines one
o five set the Red Sox on the money line
and a minus one sixty four to lay a run half,
you're getting a plus one thirty five was well, and

(01:17:54):
take au plus one twenty five or higher, So I'm
going to be looking at lay that run and a half.
Jake Irvin has been much better this season, and then
he was eight season ago. Last year with the Nationals,
he was given up about four walks per nine and
he's he wasn't getting a ton of just wists in general,
and it's not like the for Jake German, He's gonna
go out there and it's gonna be like Nolan Ryan
or anything like That's only about seven straightcuts for nine nings,

(01:18:15):
but has kept things out in front of him. He's
given up just zero point seven home runs for nine ennings,
two walks for nine ennings three seventy two yarra, but
a fielding dependent of a three twenty four. But for
Cooper Chriswell, he's a little bit more of a picture
contact guy as well, but he's been able to do
a nice job of holding down the four for this
Boston team as well. He's supplying US one seventy four yari.
That's gonna be going northward. His fielding independent it's more

(01:18:35):
round of three to sixty, but seven straight cuts one
point seven walks for nine and he's giving up less
an home run for nine and Nnings as very suitable
and presentable for the seam. And they go up against
a Washington Nationals unit that just has really had a
tough time being able to get a lot of hard
contact in general.

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
For Washington.

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
They were able to have a little bit of an
outburst yesterday, but they signed Duey Gallo, Eddie Rozzario along
with Jesse Winker in the offseason. Really the only guy
that has panned out this far. As Winker has been
able to give you about a three to sixty on base.
You've been able to get really good production on CJ.
Abrams at the top of the Fold. He's been able
to provide about a three thirty on base sim plus
home runs. It's one of the better base sailers that
you're going to find in the big leagues as well.

(01:19:11):
They now get Victor Robos back and the Fold who
always has great wheels a little bit and gets this
in at the play. But you just need to get
some of these guys like Keiber, Luis Versario I mentioned before,
Joey Mines, he currently injured Lane Thomas just a board
as well. These guys are utting a two twenty or lower. Meanwhile,
for Boston, Profiled Evers providing a four hundred base has
been massive. Hasn't seen just too much of a spike

(01:19:32):
with regards to his power from the beginning part of
the season. But that said, just him moving line is
enough for this team at this point. As you've had
Tyler O'Neil be incredible. He's supplying nine home runs about
a four hundred on base. Jaron Duran at the top
of the fold has found a way to be able
to get on base as well. And then you take
a look at some of the younger guys. You need
a little bit more as the likes of cDNA, Rafayela,
Pablo Reyes, guys like this, but a lot of these

(01:19:53):
guys have been relegated for the more trustworthy guys like
Wiler Abreu and for Boston this has been a top
ten team in terms of Bullpenny Araight Justin Slayton has
been very good, being able to supply multiple landings, do
a nice job holding it down for this team. On
top of that, you've had Brandon Bernardino do a nice job.
Greg wiserd has given you a some three year for Washington.
This has been a number half of the big league's
bullpen as well. It's been a nice prize to see

(01:20:16):
Kyle Finnegan doing what he's doing. Let's have a little
bit of trepidation with him, but all in all, he's
been solid this year. Derek Vah, Hunter Harvey, these are
guys applying you with a sub three five Arra as
well as Jordan Weems has been a little bit rough.
But that said, I do think that for Boston they
are going to be able to get to Jake Irv
and I think that Cooper Kriswell just continues to keep
the ball in the yard. In general, I think we've
gotten a little bit too low with this total. This

(01:20:36):
is so very much a hitter's ballpark out there in Boston,
and we are seeing the Red Sox starting rise up
a little bit more with this offense. I did something
total at eight point nine. I like the over, and
I do like the Red Sox playing round and a
half on the run line. And we have things up
with nine twenty nine nine thirty on the bank board
the Colrade Rockies by us of the Texas Rangers. Andrew
Keeney goes for the Rangers. Ryan Feldner is on the
bump for Colorado. Colrado is an underdog between plus one

(01:20:56):
forty two plus one forty five minus one fifty five
minus one sixty six.

Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
It is your number.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
I'm on Texas cent and a half as a total
unders mine one fifteen. The overt is minus one of five.
I set the Rangers on the money line out of
minus one fifty six. If you're looking to lay a
run half with them, you're getting between even money and
minus one of five. I'm willing to lay up to
a minus one o five on that run line. So
when we be looking at a layer run and a
half with the Rangers, for Ryan Feldner, it's a great story.
You got hit by the comebacker last season. Has been

(01:21:22):
able to come back and honestly has been one of
the better pitchers for the Colrad Rockies. But that just
tells you the state of the Colrade Rockies as of
right now. Feltoner has been able to do a good
job of being able to up his strikeout game. He's
getting about eight point three strikeouts per nine innings two
about two and a half walks per nine innings. His
field independent is a three to ninety one. So it's
actually been quite presentable. But the problem for Ryan Feldner

(01:21:43):
is just pitching at home. And that's really the issue
that you've got for so many of these Rockies pitchers
because they are at elevation even when the weather is
a little bit less than idea. And we've been noticing
that all season long in Colorado, the wind blowing in.
You've been noticing just some cooler temperatures in general. But
that's it for Felton six eighty one career era at home.
That drops you a five to forty three when he's
away from home, and that despite the fact that he

(01:22:05):
gives up more home runs ber Ni and Nnings away
from home. Misoverer about Colorado is that it's not honessary
the world's greatest home run ballpark. What it is is
a ballpark that lets up a lot of doubles, that
lets up a lot of triples, and if you give
up contact, it's really going to be a rough night
for you and has to go against someone. And Andrewhiney
that the one thing that he does is he's able
to get strikecouts. Throughout his career, he's been able to
give you about nine and a half to ten strikeouts.

(01:22:26):
Bernian Nnings has been a little bit down with that
respect this season and fran Raheeney. He's always a role
that Ice in terms of giving up the home runs
throughout his career has given up about one and a
half hoe runs Berni and Ennis thus far the season
has posted up about a four to fifty era. The
only dependent that backs him up more around a four
to twenty five as he's been only able to get
about eight straight cuts for nine Ennings but has reduced
on the walks end For the Rangers, they do back

(01:22:48):
him up with a bullpen that's a bit revamped with
Kirby Aids David Robertson coming into the fold. It's still
been a team that's been in the bottom half of
the Big leagues in terms of a bullpenny ray. Currently
they're checking in twentieth in the Big Leagues, but Rockies
are checking in twenty five. As Victor Vodnik has been
able to do a solid job and you've been able
to get some good production out of someone like a
Jake Bird as well. But that said, when you've got
some of these guys liking Anthony Malina, justin Lawrence just

(01:23:11):
lighting these games on fire, that's honestly too tremendous. And
for the Colrad Rockies, the advanced numbers show that this
team is actually lucky that they've generated the amount of
runs that they have thus far this season. You've got
Elias he Is, Ryan McMahon both ating above a two
to seventy five. Sean Borchard has been able to give
you a little bit of production along with Brenton Doyle
as well. And they now get Jake ka back and fall,
but I don't know what that's going to do for them.
And then for the Texas Rangers, they could really use

(01:23:33):
Corey Seger to be able to pick it up. He
had a double in the game yesterday, so perhaps that'll
help him out a little bit. But now you getting
Eate low back and fold he's hitting above three. Ad
Joda him has been a darniar a three hundred as
well and been able to get really good production out
of Dolas Garcia. He's been carrying the team as a
lot of these guys have struggled aight home runs thirty
plus RBI. It's been able to do a nice job
finding way on base and marcasimeon he's up to about

(01:23:54):
seven home runs as well. You know that the Texas
Rangers team is going to be able to hit. I
feel like Andrew Keeney is becoming a little litle bit
more of a well rounded picture as well. I do
think that the ball is going to be on play
quite a bit against both of these guys as well.
So I did somebody told a little one point you.
I'm looking at you over and for the Rangers out
of minus one of five or less one and delay
or run half with them. And that'll wrap things up
for the Saturday edition of The Baseball Betting Show, now
