Cynthia Owyoung is the embodiment of an Ontological Leader and Inclusive Leader — the kind of leadership that assures that all team members feel they are treated respectfully and fairly, are valued and sense that they belong, and are confident and inspired.
In her own words, she is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a daughter of immigrants, a first generation born in the Unites States, Asian, a woman... and lastly a leader.
As a D&I leader, she has established and led diversity and inclusion initiatives for nearly 15 years at organizations both large and small, including GitHub, Yahoo and Intuit. Cynthia is known for integrating a diversity and inclusion lens into all aspects of the business, from talent management to product development.
Outside leading her own organization Breaking Glass Forums, she holds the role of VP, Diversity and Inclusion, at Charles Schwab.
