You’ll Learn:

  • How Greg went from sociology major to professional marketer.
  • How his skills as a sociologist translates in today’s social media landscape.
  • How formal business education could have furthered Greg’s career.
  • Industry thought leaders are more accessible than ever.
  • Nothing new ever seems to kill off anything old; it just changes forms.
  • There needs to be more opportunities for marketers to think and act strategically.

3 Key Points:

  1. Roll up your sleeves and get it done.
  2. A lot of digital marketing thought leadership is recycled; there doesn’t seem to be enough institutional knowledge to get our thinking & strategy ahead.
  3. Many consumers of information have not been taught how to think critically and discern what’s being put in front of them.
