Many have heard of the popular verse Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” But, most people don’t know that the children of Israel were in captivity and suffering when this promise was given to them. And they were given instructions on how to suffer and were given the blessing of this promise. And so it is with many of us during this very challenging season.
