Both new and seasoned investors are hitting “Pause” on real estate right now. The reason? Rising interest rates. In 2022, the Bank of Canada did 7 increases on the interest rate, and on January 25th from the Bank of Canada, the rates were raised yet again, kicking 2023 off with even higher interest rates. As real estate investors, we’ve noticed it. If you have a variable rate mortgage, no doubt you’ve noticed it.
So, what’s a real estate investor to do? What does the future hold?
The truth is, none of us have a crystal ball, but for this episode, I asked some of my favourite real estate experts: fellow investors, mortgage brokers, realtors, and people who do many of those things for their words of wisdom.
