Agi Keramidas (00:04):
Welcome to Personal Development mastery
podcast, and this is anothersnippet of wisdom where I select
my favourite and most insightfulmoments from previous episodes.
Today's snippet comes from aguest, Evette Rose, who is a
trauma release expert. She talksabout how we have been

(00:26):
conditioned to avoid ouremotions and why reconnecting
with them is essential forhealing and self awareness. Keep
listening to learn how avoidanceof your emotions sabotages your
health and your intuition. Let'sdive right in.

Evette Rose (00:47):
I cannot tell you how many people, if not
everyone, when I asked them, give me your five highest values
or five highest points and areasof your life that's most
important, they'll gorelationships, money, career,
love and friends. And I'm like,I didn't hear health. I'm sorry

(01:13):
I didn't hear health. Listenyour focus flows and energy
flows. What you Energise yourenergy goes where your focus is.
If your focus is on money, career and all these human I

(01:34):
mean, the world is basicallylike a theme park. You know, you
know how you feel like when yougo to a theme park. You're so
distracted by all the lights andeverything like it's great. Now
all these distractions that wehave has pulled us away from our
natural state of awareness. Youcan focus on something or be

(01:55):
aware of something if your focusis not there period. It just
doesn't work that way. We can domore than one thing at a time.
Even though we think we can, weactually cannot, because the
quality would be absolutelyterrible of the third or second
thing that you're trying to do,you're gonna have to go back and
redo it right so and the body isthe same. Now, if your focus is

(02:16):
on stress or when we're dealingalso with this negative bias
that the body has, of, you know, focusing more on the negative
rather than the positive, focusing more on something that
we maybe need to bring more ofinto our life. But then we're
trying to find, you know, instant gratifications or quick
solutions. We love quick fixes, right? We've also built our

(02:37):
entire life. We're masters ofdisassociating. We are masters
of deflecting. We've literallyset up our life to live in a
state of avoidance. How can youbecome aware of something if
you're constantly in a state ofavoidance, you're not that is
why the body is going to comepump and it's going to give you

(02:58):
a smack up your bum and it'sgoing to say, Hey, you're not
listening. Here's the pain, here's the ailment. But now the
problem with that is we don'tlike to feel we hate feeling our
emotions, and that's why we'reso good at deflecting. That's
why we're so good at avoidingyour emotions is the GPS of your

(03:22):
soul. It is what tells youwhat's good, what's bad, and if
something is bad, then dosomething about it. Don't just
try to figure out a quicksolution around it. Ask it. Why
are you there? Why don't we likethis? We don't question anymore.
We just feel distress, and thenwe have this knee jerk reaction

(03:44):
to look the other way. What isthe easy fix? What is an easy
solution? And you know why?
Because we're livingsubconsciously in a state of
fear, because that's how socialmedia have wired us. That's how
life and itself has wired us.
There's no energy to look atanything other than, what is the

(04:04):
threat? What do I need toovercome? Who's the biggest
competitor? How am I going tosurvive? We're so stuck in state
of survival that we don't evenrealise it. Even if you have all
the money in your bank account, there's always going to be
something that you're going tobe stressed about. It's a
programme. So we have to breakthis programme and learn and
understand that your emotions isyour best friend. If you want to

(04:27):
live your best life, learn andunderstand what are your
emotions? How do they feel, eventhough they sometimes don't feel
good, but even if they don'tfeel good, the only person that
can change that is you notdrugs, not alcohol, not
cigarettes, not any substance, because the state of permanence
is not it's non existent. You'regoing to have to keep repeating

(04:50):
that, and you become the hamsterin the wheel. So if you want to
start to live a stable andconsistent, balanced life, we
need to be friends. And ouremotions, they there for a
reason. And the moment we canstart to befriend our emotions
and not associated with shame orfear of rejection or thinking,

(05:12):
Oh, if I feel this, and peopleare going to think that of me,
these emotions is what's goingto set you free. It is what's
going to optimise your health, because if you can listen to
something within you thatdoesn't feel right, and
investigate that, and allowyourself to investigate that, a
lot of things can actually beavoided, because our intuition

(05:37):
is connected to your emotions.
Everyone who comes to me andsays, Oh, if it I can't connect
to my intuition. It's terrible.
You know, can you teach me howI'm like, Yeah, let's, let's,
let's learn how to feel youremotions, because your intuition
communicates with you throughvision, sensations, emotions and

(05:58):
feelings. If you see an image, you read that image by observing
how it makes you feel. And howdo you think you are relaying
that data of how it makes youfeel by eliciting subconscious
memories as now being brought upby chemically be feeling these

(06:19):
sensations, even though you canconsciously recall what it is,
and we put together a message,if you can't feel your feelings,
you are not going to be able tofeel your emotions.
