In this episode host Belle Osvath CFP®, speaks with LTC Specialist Kelly Augspurger CLTC ®, CSA, about her structured approach to having the long-term care conversation with clients.  She advocates steering the conversation away from the possible loss of independence and instead shift the focus to the ability of the client to potentially protect their family from hardship.

Kelly highlights the three questions planners should discuss with clients to determine their potential care needs. These questions help reframe the conversation and allow clients to understand and participate in the coverage calculation process.

Kelly also stresses that in order for planners to set their clients up for their best chance of insurability they need to have an in-office pre-screening process to be completed before any application is submitted.

If you are interested in creating a more productive and positive approach to your long-term care discussions, this is the show for you.
