Michelle talks about how after planning her retirement at 48 years old she couldn’t deal with the “sitting all day on a sofa doing nothing” lifestyle which is why she decided to enter the entrepreneurship world in this second phase of her life. Michelle tells us about what aspects of her life led her to decide and plan her retirement, how she came up with her fitness businesses by wanting a more inclusive gym space in which people didn’t feel judged but welcomed, and how she is constantly trying to reinvent herself within this entrepreneurship world.
Michelle Swittenberg
Michelle is the CEO of two fitness businesses, BRWL Studio and the Triple Threat Challenge. She retired at 48 years old from corporate America in 2016 after 25+ years in corporate positions in the areas of product development, strategic planning, and marketing and sales at some of the top companies in the world like Verizon. A few short years into retirement, Michelle’s passion for fitness turned into a calling and in the process she started with her friends the Triple Threat Challenge with the intention of making exercise inclusive, and then met Martesse and BRWL Studio was born. With an MBA from Duke and a BS from the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton, Michelle manages the business side of BRWL Studio.
