It’s time to stop abandoning your inner creativity. We all have a creative side to our souls. Art matters to the world, especially during and after times of collective crisis. Art gives meaning to life and is a representation of each of our unique divine perspectives. Now, before you start challenging me that you’re not that creative or an artist, I will challenge you to look deep inside and see that as a child of the Creator, you are inherently born to create.
In this episode, I spoke with a champion of artists and creatives (that’s all of us) on how to honor your creative spirit, be it in business or even as a fun hobby. Join me here for a deep convo with Miriam, all about honoring your inner artist.
Our brains have been programmed for safety. The more creative you are, the more you’ll come up with stories to not take action or go for it. The same goes for the age-old concept of a starving artist and the idea that to be a creative, you must be poor, starve, or play small. Examine any messages you carry about whether it’s self-indulgent or unrealistic to nurture your talents. A poverty mindset limits us from seeing the abundance we have to offer. What “enoughness” would enable you to claim your place as an artist? Your gifts don’t need to be perfect or fully formed to contribute beauty and meaning.
Like any entrepreneurial endeavor, an artpreneurial mindset requires vision, grit, savvy, and faith in yourself. Remind yourself regularly why your art matters—to you and those who need it. Your creative work is sacred, even if it feels scary to share it. Start by dedicating small amounts of time daily to your art. Schedule it as you would other essential commitments. Overcome resistance and distractions knowing that momentum builds when you show up consistently.
Stop procrastinating and make your creativity a priority. Procrastination erodes trust in yourself.
You may be surprised what opens up when you commit fully to your inner artist and creativity. The creator created you to shine and share your specific gifts. By nature, you are creative, and the world needs your unique creative genius—now more than ever.
