Employee Empowerment, for me, was one of the hardest things I have done but also one of the most rewarding.
When you have surrounded yourself with competent qualified people, you need to give them the tools to do their job and get out of their way. Obviously, you need to monitor from time to time to make sure things are headed in the right direction. You will be pleasantly surprised at what happens.
Employees need to have the latitude to make and fix their own mistakes, after all that is how a lot of us learn.
If you have ever been micro-managed, you will like and embrace employee empowerment.
