Retired Pierce County Captain Pete Carder shares some of the highlights and some of the challenges of his 32 year career with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Dept in WA State. Pete rose through the ranks of the department from patrol deputy, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Chief of a newly incorporated city, and retired with the rank of Captain. Pete retells some of his most challenging experiences in homicide investigations, as well as Officer involved shootings. Pete also candidly shares his new appreciation for everyday of life as he is currently dealing with a recent diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Lots of wisdom to take away from this interview with a well-seasoned cop who served with integrity.
