Growing up in the neon-tinted era of the eighties and nineties, my guests, Katie and Megan,  navigated a world as teens without the constant buzz of social media notifications. Fast forward to today and they are both parents in the trenches of raising preteen and teen girls amidst the digital frenzy. 

We reminisce about our simpler childhoods and contrast them with the complex landscape their daughters are navigating, from the pressure of online presence to rediscovering life skills that shatter gender stereotypes. Megan's family pact to delay social media until ninth grade offers a fresh perspective on blending freedom with protective boundaries.

Taking the helm as a softball coach, Katie shares a slice of her journey, where wrenches and oil cans were as familiar as dolls and dresses, thanks to her dad. Our conversation introduces how non-traditional roles and practical know-how can build a girl's confidence.
