Animal Guidance Series: Goose Medicine

When you want to renew the magical and wondrous nature of childhood, through the eyes of your inner child call on goose medicine. Overall, the goose is a loyal partner. Joyful, faithful to its family, brave and an excellent communicator. It travels long distances during migration, sometimes up to 1,500 miles a day. A goose will commit familiar landscapes to memory to revisit the following year, and it uses the Earth's magnetic field as a compass. The goose is self-aware, resourceful, and a great problem solver. The goose is a team player during migration. They are part of a community that coordinates travel so that no one bumps into each other or into another flock that's in flight. They don't sing, but they have many tones of a hunk, they clearly communicate. Throughout history, the goose has been a symbol of abundance, strength, knowledge and guidance. The goose is a monogamous animal, a faithful, loyal and dedicated partner that fiercely protects its young. The goose is also a symbol of persistence and survival. It only moves on from one location to another when all resources have been exhausted. The goose has been domesticated for over 4,000 years. 

So, call on geese medicine, for a safe journey, communication, harmony, commitment, loyalty, community, fidelity, wisdom, guidance, and working harmoniously with others. Call on the goose! “Call IT in with Dar!”
