Monthly mindset check-ins help us stay committed to our goals when many people start giving up. March is the perfect time to recommit to what we set out to create this year instead of falling into the valley of disappointment.

• Tending to our mindset is like gardening – we must regularly show up to pull weeds and nurture what we want to grow
• The waiting time between planting seeds and seeing them bloom is equally important as the action steps
• How we observe and interact with the world has creative power to change our realities
• Resistance to our goals may actually be an invitation to go deeper
• Small, aligned actions over time create the big shifts we desire

Journal questions to reflect on:
• What vision did you set out to pursue this year, and how has your relationship with it evolved?
• Where are you feeling resistance or disappointment around your goal?
• What would be possible if you stayed fiercely committed to your vision all year, regardless of setbacks?

If you're bumping up against blind spots or barriers, schedule a free call with me through the link in the show notes to get clear on your next step. Share this episode with someone who might need it and subscribe for new episodes weekly.

We are on a mission to getthese tools out to others who
need them, and we would loveyour help.
I've been helping people getunstuck and out of survival mode
since 2010.
And I've learned that one ofthe most powerful things we can
do is to regularly check in withour mind.

(01:06):
It's like tending a garden weneed to constantly show up and
pull the weeds and nurture whatwe want to grow in our lives.
These monthly check-ins aredesigned to help you do just
that To pause, reflect andintentionally shape your mindset
.
They're a chance for us to slowdown together and examine

(01:28):
what's happening in our minds, because what's happening in our
minds is shaping everythingabout our lives, and whether
you're a longtime listener orthis is your first mindset
check-in, you're in the rightplace.
I'm going to guide you throughsome powerful questions to help
you understand where your mindis and how to steer it in the
direction you want to go.

(01:48):
Remember, I'm not just here asyour guide.
I'm doing the work alongsideyou, because managing our
thought lives is not a once anddone thing.
It's an ongoing practice andI'm hoping that these episodes
start to get you in thatpractice, and I'm hoping that
these episodes start to get youin that practice.
So grab your favorite beverage, find a quiet spot or settle

(02:10):
into your drive and let's diveinto today's mindset check in
together.
First of all, we hosted oursecond free class this month.
It has been so rich and so muchfun.
It's virtual.
You can tune in from anywhere.
Consider joining us for March.
The topic this month is aboutgetting unstuck and finding your

(02:31):
mojo again.
We're going to talk a littlebit about that today, in the
spirit of this mindset check-in.
Last month, we covered ways toget creative, to navigate big
feelings like overwhelm, and oneof the things I shared that I
came across from Dr Lee Warren, who runs the Self Brain Surgery
podcast a really great podcast, but he said how we observe and

(02:55):
interact with the world aroundus has creative power to change
the realities in which we live, and that humans flourish when
they change their minds.
And that just inspires me somuch, because that is what we
teach here, too, in this mindsetcheck-in.

(03:16):
I want you to think about herewe are in March, if you're
listening live I want you tothink about what did you set out
to create this year?
Because this is the time wherepeople get stuck and we often
give up, and I'm on a mission toensure that you practice
throughout the year so you cancarry your goals that you set

(03:36):
out with and we're so excitedabout all the way through the
year.
And this is the time where wecan hit that valley of
disappointment and turn away andgive up.
So this is the moment for doingdifferently, and this is where
it is so, so important.
What if this time?
What if this year, you doubleddown on your goal instead?

(03:59):
What if this year, you stayedcommitted to keeping that vision
in front of you all year long?
If not you?
Who's going to do that?
Who's going to go all in on thedream or that, knowing that you
have in your heart?
If you don't, please know thatI too bump up against the valley
of disappointment.
I've been doing it just thisweek, wondering where all my

(04:22):
efforts are headed on certaindays, or wondering when our
son's going to get some news onhis next step.
It can be hard, after you'vestarted planting seeds in your
life, to then wait for them tobloom.
But the waiting time, the timein between, is equally, if not
more, important, and I want youto think about what are you

(04:44):
doing in the waiting?
What's the energy you'reshowing up with?
How are you approaching youreveryday in the waiting?
Are you bringing that kind ofenergy that's going to be
required when things startblooming?
All of it matters.
So I set out with one word thisyear, which was shine.
How about you?
Did you choose a word at thebeginning of the year?

(05:06):
Or did a word choose you?
Or was it a goal or a dream youhad, or was it taking something
you were already doing to newheights?
Maybe it was a relationship, your business, a project, maybe
it was something related to yourhealth and wellbeing.
This is the time to revisit andrefocus and align your actions
again.

(05:26):
Remember, it's not the fallingoff or falling off track that
matters, it's the getting backon and it's those small, little
aligned actions over time thatcreate those big shifts that you
desire.
We are creatives.
We were made and designed, Ibelieve, by the master creator,

(05:46):
god, and the Bible says we aremade in his image.
So we have this innate ability.
So this is the work, this isthe practice.
I want to give you somequestions to take to your
journal or take to a notebook orhave some quiet reflection time
.
The first one is what vision ordream did you set out to pursue

(06:07):
this year?
Did you set out to pursue thisyear, and how has your
relationship with it evolved orchanged?
I want you to really take aminute to remember that initial
spark, that fire in your bellythat you felt, something that
lit you up.
Sometimes we need to reconnectwith that.
Actually, not sometimes all thetime.

(06:28):
We need to reconnect with that.
Why?
Often in order to reignite andmaintain the momentum.
Question number two where areyou currently feeling resistance
or disappointment around thatgoal or thing you set out to do?
I want to challenge you tothink about what if this
resistance is actually aninvitation to go deeper?

(06:51):
You to think about what if thisresistance is actually an
invitation to go deeper?
What if this thing that'sbubbling up in your life is
actually the breakthrough youneed to go all in on your vision
.
I know, in the face of my oneword shine that everything that
can't live inside of that hasbeen bubbling up.
I want you to get excited aboutthis.
I want you to move throughthese things, because if you can

(07:12):
move through the barrier or theblind spot, then you have more
access to go all in what you setout to do.
Last question what would bepossible if you stayed fiercely
committed to your vision for theentire year, regardless of the
little bumps or hiccups orsetbacks?

(07:34):
So those are your questionsthis month.
Give yourself the gift of takingsome time to just reflect and
check in.
Where's your mind inrelationship to what you set out
to do this year and how can youget it back on track and in
alignment so that you can movewith greater joy, ease and flow.
And remember if you wantsupport or feel like you're

(07:57):
bumping up against a blind spotthat you just can't bump past on
your own.
This is what I do.
I would love to support you inbreaking through those blind
spots and barriers so that youcan build a life or build your
business, or build thatrelationship and live free.

your life, schedule some timewith me.

This is a conversation to helpyou get clear on your next step,
whether it's with me orsomething else entirely.
This call alone can be a muchneeded reset.
It would be an honor to supportyou In closing.

(08:39):
Let's get good at the mindsetcheck-in, this caring for your
thought life.
It is so vital and so important.
It's a practice, not a perfect.

nudge to explore workingtogether, get on my calendar and
