This series is called “The Train at Platform Five” an oral history of Kings Cross rail workers.

A team of researchers interviewed 25 people who worked at this busy London railway terminal to document what life was like working at the station for drivers, guards, pantry boys, station staff and more.

In episode two, we look at how workers started out and how they got the skills for their work; their stories from across the station, as well as on board the trains.

We hope you enjoy the podcast.
