(02:06):
And we are back on SeparationSaturday.
So today we're going to get backinto a little bit of marketing.
You know, I've talked beforeabout how much I love the
marketing side of the business.
Last week we we touched on a fewthings marketing-wise.
We focused on the 10xcommandments of marketing, just

(02:28):
real quick as a refresher onthose.
Those 10x commandments ofmarketing, money follows
attention.
Best known always beats best.
Assume nobody sees it.
Attention is the most valuablecurrency.
Repeat successful actions.
Speed is senior to quality.
Marketing is senior to sales.
Frequency becomes beforegreatness.

(02:49):
No one thing can blow a deal andbe omnipresent.
How it can seem like you areeverywhere all at once.
Then we talked about buildingthat brand message.
So you recall, hey, who are youas a person?
Who are you as a company?
What core values does yourcompany believe in?
Things like that.
What does your competition do?
And how are you different?

(03:10):
And how can you market to that?
Because if you don't know youand you don't know your company,
you don't know your values, youdon't know what you stand for,
how do you expect your prospectsor your future clients to ever
know?
Because knowing your prospectallows for better understanding
of your customers' needs, allowsfor development of offers based
on those needs, helps guide howyou package the delivery of your

(03:34):
brand message and allows yourentire organization to be clear
on your customer base.
So if you haven't listened tolast week's episode, hey, check
that out.
It'll give you a good head starton building some of those
perfect customer avatars andalso building that brand message
for them.
So let's talk just a little bitabout the customer decision

(03:57):
journey today.
You know, when you think of yourpipeline for your potential
clients, you're thinking you canthink of it as a funnel, really,
really large at the top and thensmall down at the bottom, and it
goes and it gets more narrow asit goes down, right?
So think of think of the top ofthat funnel as all these people,
all these potential clients areeither unaware of a problem

(04:20):
they're having or unconscious ofa problem they're having.
Then they move to when theyfigure out they have a problem
or made aware that they have aproblem, they start researching
that problem, right?
What can I do to fix thisproblem?
Then once they figure out apotential solution or maybe some
ideas for how they could fixthat problem, they start

(04:42):
researching vendors.
Hey, what companies are outthere or what people are out
there that can help me do thisor can solve this problem for
me?
And then they buy.
The thing we need to do with ourcontent uh through social media,
through our omnipresenceefforts, you need to make your
content work for you.

(05:03):
So how do we do that?
Well, your content, any of thatcontent, no matter what channel
it's on, whether it's Instagram,Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn,
YouTube, whatever, should bedoing some of these things.
You can use your content tohandle objections.
It is a great way to utilizecontent.

(05:23):
Hey, answer some of thosequestions that they have, handle
some of those objections thatthey have in your content so
they see that as they aredeciding if they want to work
with you, right?
Handle those objections upfront.
That way, when you actually comein contact with them, some of
them might have already beenhandled.
And that's going to make thesales process a lot easier for

(05:44):
you.
You can also make your contentwork for you by warming up
potential prospects.
We've all, if you've been inbusiness before, you've heard
the term, you know, cold leadversus warm lead, things like
that.
And that's basically adependence upon if they know you
or know of you or know what youdo or how far along in the
process they are with you,right?

(06:05):
If they've done business withyou before, those can all play
into if it's a cold lead or awarm lead.
You know, everybody's heard ofcold calls where you just call
call somebody out of the blue, have zero idea if they need your
product or service or have aproblem that you can solve for
them, but that's a cold call.
That is a completely cold lead.

(06:25):
With somebody that's beenfollowing you for a while, maybe
has commented on some of yourposts, maybe visited your site.
That's a little bit warmer,right?
Right.
So there's a whole spectrum ofcold and warm leads, but you can
use your content to warm themup, to get them to get to know

(06:46):
you and your company a littlebetter.
You can use your content tofollow up.
We've talked extensively aboutfollow-up before.
You can use your content todominate Google search.
You need to have enough stuffout there to where you rise to
the top of the pile.
You can use it for leadgeneration.
You can use straight up landingpages or paid ads, things like

(07:10):
that to get lead generation.
It doesn't even have to be paid.
It could be just organic leadsthat you're getting from lead
generation into that pipeline.
You can use your content toincrease engagement, to get
people talking about yourcompany, to get people involved
with you personally and yourbrand.

(07:30):
You can use your content topromote offers, events,
products, services, all thatgood stuff.
You see, most companies do that.
Most companies use their socialmedia to, hey, I've got a sale
going on, I'm going to promotethat.
Hey, I'm going to put a pictureof what I got going on here.
I'm going to put a picture of myproduct on here.

(07:50):
Here's the services that I do.
Here's an event that I havecoming up.
That's the easy stuff, right?
Most people do that.
That's really easy.
I've got a 20% off.
I've got a tax sale coming uphere.
And that's what we're going todo this weekend, so I can make a
post about it, right?
It's some of this other stuffthat many companies fail to do,
especially the handle objectionspart.

(08:11):
A lot of companies do not usetheir content to handle
objections, even though it is avery, very powerful use of
content.
So look at your content rightnow and see how many of these
you're actually accomplishingwith the content that you have.
Are you handling objections?
Are you warming up potentialprospects?
Are you following up?
Are you dominating Googlesearch?

(08:33):
Are you using it for leadgeneration to increase
engagement, to promote youroffers and events?
How many of those are youactually doing?
And don't forget to integrate AIinto this too.
We're going to do a whole nothersegment on how you can integrate
AI into it, but it's making youmaking it a lot easier to get
this content out and quickly tohit all of these different

(08:57):
things.
So, what are some types ofcontent that you can utilize to
do all this?
Hey, you could do a podcast.
I'm doing a podcast right now,right?
That is a great form of content.
You could do articles, you coulddo some old school blogs, you
could do newsletters,interviews, social posts,
videos, images, polls, surveys,infographics, memes,
testimonials, and it goes on andon.

(09:21):
So many different types ofcontent because we talked about
that customer journey.
You need to have content forwherever they're at in that
journey.
So we talked about kind of thebasics of where they're at, but
then there's a little bitdeeper, deeper trajectory here
that we could talk about.
You need to be able to meet thatprospect where they are.
They start with don't know you, then they go to know of you,

(09:43):
then connected with you a lot oftimes through social.
Then they opted in, they gaveyou their email address or their
phone number, some information,right?
Then they turn into a currentcustomer, then a previous
customer, and then hopefully anadvocate if you've done
everything well.
So we talked a little bit aboutthe content checklist last week,
but a quick refresher quantityover quality, get it out there

(10:06):
and keep getting it out there.
Consistency and frequency.
Make sure you stay consistentand frequent and disciplined
with it.
Assume nobody sees it.
Try the shoot it once and postit.
I did an extra post on that onelast week.
Try that out.
It is powerful.
Know your platform, know youraudience, know your outcome,
post something shareable andsend them somewhere.

(10:27):
Give them a call to action, whether that's to buy something,
to your website, to follow you,to whatever.
Give them something to do.
So let's do a couple of quickexamples for structuring your
message in a post or any type ofcontent, right?
So here's a here's a couple ofquick and easy ones.
So structure your message.

(10:48):
Number one, call out yourtarget.
Number two, speak to a problemthat you know they have already.
Initiate that problem, insertyour value, what you're gonna do
about that, add your USP, that'syour unique sales proposition,
right?
So your credibility, your salespoints, things like that, and
then add your call to action.

(11:10):
So again, real simple,structured message.
Call out your target, speak to aproblem that you know they have,
initiate the problem, insertyour value, add your USP, add
your call to action.
So an example of that.
Let's try, let's just throw thisone out there.
So, hey, dads.

(11:31):
Did you know that 91% of yourbonding time with your child
happens between the ages of zeroand twelve?
Wonder Dads offers plannedactivities to make the most out
of the bonding time with yourkids.
Click the link below to getaccess to memorable moments with
your kids when it matters most.
Pretty powerful, right?
And they hit every piece ofthat.

(11:52):
You call out your target, spoketo the problem, initiate the
problem, they inserted theirvalue, add the unique selling
proposition, and they have acall to action.
Right?
So some easy starts when you'redoing this.
First thing you could do, a veryeasy way to remember this is use
the gap method.
G A P.

(12:13):
Get attention, ask about aproblem you know they have,
promise to solve with an outwith an offer.
That is basically a scaled-downversion of that full structure
that I just gave you a secondago.
The gap method.
Get attention, ask about aproblem you know they have,
promise to solve it with anoffer.
Other things you can do that aresuper easy are numbered lists

(12:34):
and how-to's.
Those typically get some goodengagement.
So it could be, you know, threeways to five tips to seven cost
savers, ten biggest mistakes, five most effective, whatever's,
fourteen cheapest, whatever, five most expensive, whatever.
Those things typically getpretty good play.
So you could try those out.

(12:55):
And then how-tos, a lot ofcompanies can do a how-to, even
though you think you might not.
Of course, it works well for theDIY stuff, but no matter what
company is, you could probablydo a how-to.
You know, how to do more in lesstime, how to make more money
with less work, how to fix yourcomputer without any tools, how
to get the best deal on a car.
These could be all dependentupon what kind of company you

(13:15):
have, but there's a lot ofdifferent how-tos that you could
integrate in there.
So take some time, create somenumbered lists, do some how-tos,
use that gap method.
The main thing is you want tobecome their trusted resource
for whatever you do.
You want to be the one that theylook to when they are thinking

(13:36):
about what you do.
So that bottom line, that's whatwe're trying to get to.
And make one of the biggestthings here, and I'm gonna
mention it again, consistencyand frequency.
Come up with a plan of how manytimes you're gonna you're gonna
post out there and follow it.
Maybe a beginner plan might bean email every day out, could be

(13:58):
a weekly podcast, interview, orarticle that you write, could be
two Facebook posts a day, acouple of Instagram posts a day,
a couple of stories a day, acouple of live streams per week,
could be a couple of posts on Xevery single day, could be a
link one LinkedIn post everyday, could be a weekly longer
form YouTube or shorts, eitherone, but come up with a beginner

(14:20):
plan.
You know the 10X plan, GC's planis gonna be a lot more than
that.
That's gonna be upwards of maybe15 emails a day, four weekly
podcasts, three to fiveinterviews, five, eight Facebook
posts a day, stuff like that, right?
A lot more than the norm.
But find your weekly contentcreation plan and stick to it

(14:41):
and reap the rewards of thatlater on.
So hopefully that helps withyour marketing.
Get that structured message outthere, be omnipresent, be
frequent, be disciplined, beconsistent, and we'll see you
tomorrow on your weekly battleplan.
So, which one of those thingscould you start today?
