something was a little different, probably by the title, but now

(00:22):
you definitely know thatthere's something a little
different.
This is going to be not yourstandard show.
This is one of the benefits youget to have once you've had as
many episodes as I have over 150, you get to do a little thing
called the best of.
Unlike other shows that arecoming around holiday time,

(00:43):
they're either going to just goon break and say, fuck off,
you're on your own deal withyour family and your friends and
all of these holiday stresses,or that's when they're going to
play the best of.
Now.
That's what most people do.
I'm not most people.
I'm doing a little best ofearlier on so that come the time

(01:04):
when you really need theamazing content, the place where
you can feel like, ah, I've gotsome support, I'm getting some
more tools, I'm getting somemore perspective from this show.
This show is going to be therewith fresh, new content that you
know is for you during thesetimes.
That means that for thisepisode and I believe I'm going

(01:24):
to do one more I'm going to do alittle best of, but unless
you've been listening since thevery beginning, which was early
in 2020, this episode is goingto be completely new.
The thing is, I really don't doa lot of topical things.
Even if you go back and youjust do a little podcast
roulette, you're going to findsomething great.
I did just that going way backto a little over three years ago

(01:48):
.
This gem of an episode from May15th 2020, it's the 15th
episode I ever did.
It is kind of fun to listenback for me and realize well,
two things.
One, I've come a long way as apodcaster and a broadcaster and
just a teacher Also how great itstill was even back then, when

(02:11):
I was just getting started.
This episode is calledOvercoming Disappointment, where
I had just done well.
I'll be explaining everythingin the episode.
Trust me, the lessons that Iimpart are just as alive today
because, let's face it, there'splenty to be disappointed about
from the state of the world.
Maybe there's some things goingon in your life.

(02:32):
Whatever it is, there's alwaysways the disappointment can
creep in.
It's.
How do we respond to that Inthis episode.
It's got some fantastic ideasto help you respond in ways that
are going to make your lifebetter, easier, more enjoyable.
That's good for you, it's goodfor the people around you.
It's good for the planet.
With that, play the episode.
