(00:01):
I have an exceptional story toshare with you today.
My guest is not only a doctorand speaker and wellness Expert with
over 20 years of experience,he also is going to share a personal
story of healing and apowerful testament to what happens
when faith and naturalmedicine come together.
In November 2024, Dr. Pete wasdiagnosed with terminal brain cancer,
grade 4 diffuse astrocytoma.

(00:23):
Doctors gave him less than a1% chance to live, but instead of
accepting that death sentence,he turned inward, leaning fully into
the same holistic faith rootedprinciples he had spent over two
decades teaching others.
What I love most is hecombined scripture with science,
prayer with precision, medicine in spiritual alignment with
nervous system healing.

(00:44):
Four months later, hisneurosurgeon and oncologist said
something no one expected.
Your brain is clear.
There is no evidence of disease.
What I love about this is inour lifetimes, the chances of us
getting cancer, for men, itreally is 1 in 2.
It's a 40% or higher chance,our lifetime chance.

(01:06):
In women, it's 1 in 3.
And these numbers are actuallyonly going up for so many reasons.
But we need to be proactiveabout our health.
We need to know what we can donow to try to minimize our chances
of cancer, to minimize ourchance of chronic disease and illness.
And we also need to beprepared with other ways to look
at treating a chronic illnessand cancer to these things.

(01:31):
There are so many things wecan do on our own, especially when
we're our own health advocates.
So I can't wait to share someof his knowledge and wisdom in his
own story with us.
Welcome to Faith FueledLiving, the podcast that equips you
to live well spiritually, emotionally, physically and purposefully.
Each week we'll dive intoconversations and biblical truths

(01:51):
to help you strengthen yourfaith pursuit, pursue meaningful
work, care for your wholeself, and live aligned with what
matters most.

(02:40):
I'm so excited for theconversation today with Dr. Pete
Sulak.
You know, I've alreadyintroduced him and explained why
I'm so happy and excited toshare the hope he has to to bring
to us today his story and alsoall of his knowledge of working in
the wellness industry for over20 years.
So, Dr. Pete, welcome to the show.
Thank you so much.
It's an honor to be here.
Can you just start off alittle bit with telling us about

(03:01):
your own journey and whatyou've walked through in your wellness
practice, in life and thenalso in the last year?
Yeah, absolutely.
You know, I've been had theprivilege of being a chiropractor
for the last 20 plus years.
I've had the opportunity toserve over a million patient visits
from all over the world.
And.
And it's really, truly justthe grace of God in spite of me,

(03:22):
not because of me.
And about a year ago, soactually exactly a year ago, on November
25, the Monday ofThanksgiving, I knew something was
a little bit off.
So that morning I went andshared with my staff that, hey, I'm
going to take a step back.
I think I might have had amini stroke, but nevertheless, I'm
going to have you take a step forward.

(03:43):
They didn't have a cluebecause I was so good at covering
it up.
My wife would finish mysentences, and my brother convinced
me because it was Thanksgivingweek to go to the emergency room.
And after eight hours in theemergency room, they came out and
said, you have a glioblastoma.
You have a 1% chance to bealive in eight months and a huge

(04:05):
shock.
But God's so gracious.
He's so much in the details ofthis life.
And.
But, yeah, that was a, youknow, rocked my world.
But in the midst of it, we sawGod's hands over and over again.
But, you know, in a nutshell,I was diagnosed with terminal brain
cancer.
That was a year ago now.

(04:26):
I was given, like I said, 1%chance to be alive still in eight
months.
But God, God is so faithful.
He is truly my healer.
And now I am.
The latest MRI was clear.
The latest CT scan was clear.
My blood work was perfect.
And the Lord has really, trulytouched my life in mercies.

(04:47):
And the kindness of God havekissed me so powerful.
And it does.
It's.
You know, I have goosebumps.
And I'm sure many people, whenyou share that story, do, but it's
just, it just reminds me, andI love this intersection of faith
or medicine and healing andhow we can, you know, change our
thoughts.
All the things we're going totalk about today, and I guess the
first thing I would just askyou before we dig further into what

(05:08):
are all the things you did andhow you help other people is I feel
like we live in a world wheremainstream medicine tells us, okay,
this is the path, this is theway forward.
If you get a chronic diseaseor cancer, this is what we recommend.
And from what I understand, right, having family and friends
walk through diagnosis, it'skind of like we feel the fear, we

(05:29):
feel the diagnosis.
It's a shock, but then it'salmost like fear if you don't do
X right away.
Right?
And so I guess what I'mwondering is how do we, instead of
feeling afraid of a diagnosis, understand that we actually have
power to look at all theoptions and also, you know, our faith
and then come up with a plan?

(05:51):
Yeah, you know, I think that'sso true because the things that I
fear, I don't have authority over.
And fear is so much ingrainedin our healthcare culture.
Cancer considered by most tobe a death sentence.
The name above every name isconsidered by most to be cancer.
But we know the name aboveevery name, and it's not cancer.

(06:12):
Cancer must bow to the name ofJesus who we serve.
And.
But it's interesting becausemost doctors will tell you what to
do and condemn you if youdon't do it.
But I believe doctors aresupposed to be teachers.
They're supposed to empower you.
Life is hard enough stewardingover my life and my family's life

(06:33):
than for a doctor to say, well, you need to do this or else.
I really believe that kind of.
My approach for the last 25years has been, where do you and
your family have peace with?
You know, what direction doyou feel God's calling you to go?
And then the doctor'sperspective, in my opinion, is to
go to that position where youhave peace with and fight for you

(06:55):
from that position.
And that's how I've alwaysapproached care.
I've never been vaccinated ordon't vaccinate, chemo or radiation,
or don't do those thingsconventional or standard of care
or holistic.
No, it's.
Where do you have peace?
Let me meet you there.
I don't want to expect you tocome to where I'm at and where I
have faith, where I have conviction.
I want to find where do youhave conviction?

(07:18):
And let me go fight for youfrom there.
And then I can help youdevelop conviction and develop mindsets
and understand truly wherehealth comes from so that we can
empower you to steward well, the temple of God and live a successful
life and finish well.
And that's really how myapproach has always been.

(07:38):
Yeah, so, so powerful.
So, you know, let's dive intoa little bit about, you know, you
have a whole protocol abouthow we can improve our health and
hopefully heal ourselves, youknow, with different chronic conditions
or diagnoses.
So do you want to walk usthrough a couple of those big areas
that a lot of us are having, maybe weaknesses or dysfunction?

(07:59):
Right.
So the cellular health andcircadian rhythm, our diets, our
terrain.
So do you want to walk usthrough maybe a couple of those?
Yeah, absolutely.
You know, when I was diagnosedthe night I was diagnosed, we shared
with my family, obviously.
And then there's two people Icalled Dr. Josh Axe, who's a health
expert in the country, and hiswife and my wife are first cousins.

(08:22):
So that was very convenient.
And then Jordan Rubin is oneof my best friends and another health
expert who created, basicallystarted Garden of Life and Ancient
Nutrition.
And I was able to call themand just because of my relationship,
just begin to develop astrategy in a game plan.
And that strategy for us wasfive main pillars of diet, supplementation,

(08:43):
detoxification, oxygenation,and faith.
Faith being that capstone thatholds it all together, that keeping
the right perspective in themidst of the storms of this life.
Because of that, actually, Iwas encouraged to become my own patient.
What's interesting is that mywife had come to me five years previous,
and my wife had the cleanestdiet of anyone I've ever knew.

(09:06):
She was gluten free, dairyfree, eating organic, taking supplements,
working out mid-40s, but shewas exhausted.
She had hormonal imbalancesand digestive issues.
And so at the time, I reachedout to a number of functional medicine
practitioners and found thatmost of them did not do functional
blood work.
And the ones that did gaveeveryone the same supplements, great
supplements, but there's nopersonalization, no meal plan.

(09:28):
And for my wife, she justsaid, hey, no offense, but I'm doing
all those things.
But I still feel this way.
I need to kind of lookunderneath the hood, and I don't
want to guess anymore.
So I began to do just a deepdive into functional labs.
And one was a food sensitivitytest, because even though she was
eating clean, I wanted to makesure that we weren't adding insult

(09:50):
to injury by her incorporatinghealthy foods that weren't healthy
for her.
Because what most people don'trealize is that cancer, for instance,
feeds on sugar, inflammation, and a lack of oxygen.
So I can have a no sugar diet, but still be eating healthy foods
that are not healthy for me,that are creating inflammation, that

(10:10):
are a breeding ground ofchronic illness.
And so I did a foodsensitivity test.
I also did a DNA test todetermine any DNA mutations, because
if there's any variations inthe DNA, what it's going to inhibit
is the body's ability to takeraw material or nutrients and convert
them into a usable form.
I also did a micronutrientanalysis, because what most people

(10:33):
also don't realize is that ifthe body is nutrient deficient at
a cellular level, it's notgoing to detoxify itself.
It's actually going to spinits wheels.
So when it comes to parasites, heavy metals, lymes, mold, and so
forth, the body is just notgoing to effectively get rid of those.
I did a gut test and I did ahomocysteine test.
I took that information, called my manufacturer, my supplement

(10:53):
company, said, hey, can you dome a huge favor?
Can you take my wife's bloodwork, put it down your assembly line,
and fill it with what she'sefficient in?
And they laughed at me.
They said, Dr. B, that doesn't work.
There's no money in compounded supplements.
No one in America will accommodate.
And thankfully, I foundsomeone in Canada that was willing
to work with me and not onlytake my wife's blood work and fill
it with what she was deficientin, but couple it with her DNA mutations

(11:16):
and her food sensitivities, and then also highlight 50 antioxidants
to determine which ones wouldbe most protective for her physiology.
And we tailor made asupplement, created a meal plan based
on her blood work, and set upwith a nutritionist.
And it was life changing for her.
So I started allowing mypatients that were already coming
to me from around the worldwith cancer and Ms. And Parkinson's

(11:37):
to use this program.
And I started getting callsfrom oncologists saying, hey, we
sent a patient to you fourmonths ago that seven years ago had
breast cancer.
And they did the conventionaltreatment, now it's come back with
a vengeance.
And so they refused standardof care, and we've sent her to you
and.
But at the four month mark, weconvinced her to rerun her blood
work and found that all thetumors had shrunk in half and were

(11:57):
hollow.
She's cancer free.
I started hearing that overand over again.
So Obviously, hindsight is 20 20.
So when I was diagnosed, I wasencouraged to become my own patient.
And that's what I did.
I ran blood work.
I wanted to make sure.
I felt like I couldn't affordthe gas.
I couldn't afford to wait.
They'd give me a death sentence.
And we really begin to buildthe body back up with personal personalized

(12:21):
diet, personalizedsupplementation that opened up detox
pathways which allowed my bodyto oxygenate more, more effectively.
And then I incorporate thingslike hyperbaric oxygen therapy, high
dose vitamin C, detoxmechanisms like coffee enemas and
castor oil packs and binders, and then just living from the vantage

(12:45):
point of heaven, knowing thatmy God is so big, so strong and so
mighty, there's nothing my Godcannot do so good.
Okay, so for some peoplelistening to this, you know, because
I love digging into this kindof information.
And obviously, this is whatyou, you know, eat, sleep, and think
about.
So what would be some simplethings that people can start doing

(13:07):
in their own lives even before.
Absolutely.
I think it's so powerful to goand get this personalized understanding
of our bodies.
I think that's so powerful.
But if we're.
If listeners are not ready todo that yet.
Right.
Or sometimes we say, not ifyour pain isn't enough.
Sometimes it doesn't make usact in as much of a way.
So what can we do?
Right.
I know there's a lot of thingswe can do that don't even cost a

(13:28):
lot of money.
That it's a good startingpoint of us starting to understand
our bodies better, tooxygenate our bodies better, to,
you know, eat better.
So what.
What are some things we canstart doing even now?
I think the.
The best thing is, is one, stay hydrated.
Make sure you get in enoughgood purified water.
Typically, the rule of thumbis half your body's weight in ounces

(13:51):
of fluid a day.
So a person that weighs 100pounds, 50 ounces of.
Of good pure water each andevery day to hydrate yourself and
stay active, get moving.
You know, a rule of thumb is10,000 steps, but I'm a big advocate
of a mini trampoline.
Just getting on the minitrampoline for 10 minutes a day improves
lymphatic drainage.
In fact, 10 minutes isequivalent to, according to NASA,

(14:14):
like 10,000 steps a day.
But so much more effective inboosting circulation.
I think just eating.
If you go to the grocerystore, eat on the out, you know,
basically shop on the outeredge of the grocery store.
We're not incorporatingprocessed foods and sugary foods
and sodas and so forth, because chronic illness and cancer

(14:34):
feeds on sugar andinflammation and a lack of oxygen.
And so there's just simplethings that everyone can do.
Get out barefoot and get outin the sun for 15 minutes on either
side.
It's just so, so powerful.
Vitamin D levels and so forthand what that will do for your body.
Yeah, absolutely.

(14:55):
So what about, you know, oneof the things you talk about?
I know is in these.
One of these five areas isfixing our terrain or, you know,
or improving it.
And I know obviously doingsome of that testing helps you understand
what's going on, but what are the.
Some of the things.
So it's obviously not eatingthe things that feed.
Right.
The bad guys in our body, butare there any other things that we
should be doing?
To just start understandingthat, in other words, our body's

(15:18):
designed to heal and if wegive it the right environment and
we give it the right inputs,it will start healing.
Right, which is all the areasyou're talking about fixing.
So would you just say there's other.
First of all, I think it's aperspective change that we have to
remember, no matter what'sgoing on with us, there is a potential
that we can heal what we'redealing with.
And So I guess 1.

(15:38):
What would you say to that?
Just because I think that's anarea that I think a lot of us get
caught up on.
We think, for instance, unrelated example is Alzheimer's
dementia.
You know, the newer studiesand data shows what we probably would
think it would, which is ifyou change your inputs, change your
lifestyle, change theenvironment, the toxins, you can
actually reverse or, you know, not get dementia.

(16:01):
So as that example, I think alot of people still think, oh, I
have dementia.
And the doctor at one pointtold me, now I have dementia.
But that's actually not the reality.
So I guess how do we startchanging our perspective that maybe
what we've heard in medicinemay not be actually accurate or current?
Yeah, absolutely.
And so I think no matter whatapproach someone takes in regards

(16:21):
to their health and theirjourney, whether it's the standard
of care, whether it's aholistic approach, everyone benefits
by establishing the train ofthe body, opening up the detoxification
pathways, adding thesufficiency that the body needs,
restoring fluidity of what'scalled the cell membrane so that
the body can receive nutrientsand detoxify the bad ones.

(16:42):
So regardless, my focus hasnever been to treat cancer, to treat
chronic illness.
My focus has always been howdo we establish the train of the
body in such a way, theinternal mechanisms of the body in
such a way that cancer andchronic illness is just no longer
hospitable in the body.
And so that is a huge differentiator.

(17:02):
And for anyone on theirjourney, I'd rather get moving in
the right direction, thenassuming you're healthy, move in
the wrong direction.
That's plain Russian roulette.
And so many people assume thatif you feel good, you're healthy.
If it's not broke, don't fix it.
But the truth of the matter isgerms don't automatically make you
sick.
What makes you sick?
A weak terrain, a weak hostthat can't fight off those germs

(17:25):
and bacteria and pathogens andso forth, and cancer.
So what do we, what can we doto just really Establish the body
in, you know, in regards toAlzheimer's and dementia, there's
a gentleman named Dr. DavidPerlmutter who's a board certified
neurologist, worked withAlzheimer's dementia patients for
years and years and years.

(17:45):
And his research has actuallyproven that Alzheimer's is one of
the most reversible diseaseson the planet.
Even though it's incrediblethe statistics of how many people
are getting Alzheimer's and dementia.
But he looks at it like if youhave a leaky gut, which is a permeable,
what's called a more permeable gut.
So really the, the gutmicroflora is becoming too open so

(18:10):
that pathogens get throughthat into the bloodstream which will
actually circulate, create anautoimmune response and then if they
pass the blood brain barrier, they'll create a brain toxicity which
he contributes to Alzheimer'sand dementia and so forth.
So the biggest thing is how doI heal the gut, how do I balance
hormones, how do I establishthe train of the body?

(18:31):
And I think all of those playin together and I think a little,
a few things, eliminatingsugar as much as you can.
People say, well, what aboutfruit, Dr. Pete?
Well, I think fruits arepowerful antioxidants which are very,
very beneficial.
But I think added sugar, anything that has added sugar in
it, I would be very careful ofanything that's processed seed oils

(18:54):
and so forth, just becausethat boosts inflammation, which becomes
a, you become a breedingground for chronic illness.
And so there's just so manysimple practical things that you
can do that a person can dojust to get moving in the right direction,
but hydrate yourself, getmoving, get out in the sun.
I think just that's a greatway to start.

(19:16):
Yeah, absolutely.
The next thing I'd like totalk about is how our thoughts impact
our physical health.
No, absolutely.
I think it's a tremendousindication of how our body is going
to respond.
You know, as a man thinketh inhis heart, so is he.
The word of God says, and Ithink hold every thought captive,
the obedience of Christ.
The enemy is going to try tolie to us over and over again and

(19:39):
say, you're not going to make it.
Just.
The enemy tries to use diseaseand sickness to identify us and we
take ownership of those things.
But the reality is that God'smy healer, that he sends his word
and it heals, and that he'screated me fearfully and wonderfully,
bought me with a price.
My life is of great worth, value and significance in the eyes

(19:59):
of God and it's seeing myselfthe way God sees me and then knowing,
you know, for me, you know, you can replace the lies of the enemy
with the truth of the word of God.
And then my encouragement, even with a gentleman I was working
with recently was, hey, let'swrite down all the things that the
enemy is telling you that youknow are a lie.

(20:19):
And then let's replace thosewith the word of God and the promises
of the Word of God.
And then my encouragement isspeak those out loud over your circumstances,
prophesy to your life, andthen there's going to come a time
when those are going to becomequickened in your spirit, and then,
you know, it will manifestwhen you become fully convinced of

(20:41):
the realities of heaven inyour life.
There's a rest for the peopleof God when, when we live by faith.
Faith isn't something I must drop.
It's an impartation throughintimacy, through spending time in
the Word of God, throughmeditating on it day in and day out.
And when I come to that placeof freedom, of liberty, of rest,
I know I've entered into therealm of faith and supernatural things

(21:03):
begin to take place in my life.
Oh, yes, absolutely.
I just had a greatconversation with a woman and we
talk all about divine healing, you know, and it's.
It's so powerful.
Yeah.
And I think I would just addanother note on the.
What our thoughts are is, youknow, there's such a.
They've looked at the data orscientifically looked at how our
thoughts actually turn on and off.
Right.
Our genes, epigenetics.

(21:25):
So once again, I mean, that.
That's not even to the pointof divine right, that what the word
of God says, how he can heal us.
But even at that level, it'sthat our thoughts really do impact.
Right.
Our spiritual, our mental andour physical health.
And so I think it's just, it'sso powerful and I don't think so
many of us realize what we'refeeding ourselves, what we're looking

(21:45):
at, but also what we're, whatwe're speaking.
Like you said, are we speakingthat the disease or our health is
poor and that it's taken holdversus, like you said, it's.
It's speaking over it becausewe know in God that is what has,
should have hold and that has power.
Absolutely.
And Dr. Josh Axe loves to talkabout mindset.

(22:06):
Medicine, which is so true, isjust feeding your mind with the word
of God, with the truth, withwho we are in Christ, that we are.
Our bodies are fearfully andwonderfully made and just making
sure that I can replace anylie of the enemy with the truth of
the word of God.
Yeah.
And what about the role of stress?

(22:27):
I know that that's so tiedinto, first of all, our culture and
how many people are living.
But what would you just sharewith us about what we need to look
out for as far as stress andthen how it can impact our physical
health?
Yeah, absolutely.
I think stress is really theultimate culprit behind all disease.
It's the greatest epidemic toface this generation, in my opinion.

(22:48):
You know, the body was createdto go from a place of homeostasis,
balance, equilibrium in thebody, adapt physiologically to the
demands and stressors placedon, and then recover.
And as long as my body's ableto adapt to the demands and stresses
of life and recovery, my bodystays very, very resilient.
And stress is inevitable.
It's going to affect us everyday of our life.
Physical stress, like caraccidents, falls, whiplash injuries,

(23:10):
or sitting at a desk all day, chemical stressors, like the food
we eat, the air that webreathe, the things that we're exposed
to, whether we know it or not,and then the emotional stress, life,
relationships, abuse andtrauma, and those things are inevitable.
And so as long as my body'sable to adapt to those and then fully
recover, we're good.
The problem becomes when mybody gets overwhelmed by the demands
and stressors of life, andeventually it will reach what's called

(23:33):
allostatic load.
It's simply a term that meansyour body got stuck in a stress response.
That's the tipping point.
If the body gets stuck andfails to get back to homeostasis,
that's where essentialactivities in the body increase,
non essential activities decrease.
It's like Covid.
When Covid first hit, allessential businesses stayed open.
Non essential businesses closed.

(23:54):
The same thing happens in thebody under stress.
Essential activities likeheart rate, blood pressure, stroke,
volume, blood sugar increase.
They're necessary for survival.
Non essential activities likedigestion, immune function, growth
hormone, and so forth, reproduction, they decrease.
We don't need those to survive.
That's great in the shortterm, but when it becomes long term,

(24:17):
we got a serious problem.
And so the goal is, how do weget the body out of a stress response?
We can do that three ways.
Physically, we can do thatthrough motion, through releasing
pressure on the spinal cord, through gross mobility.
We help the body get out of astress response neurologically.
In fact.
Dr. Roger Sperry is a Nobelprize winner.

(24:38):
His research proved thatspinal mobility is actually the greatest
nutrient to the brain.
Why because it helps the bodyget back to homeostasis neurologically,
chemically.
We get the body back tohomeostasis through what are called
adaptogenic herbs.
Adaptogens have been aroundfor thousands of years, but they're
the only the one chemical insupplement on the planet that will
actually bring you up tohomeostasis or down.

(25:00):
They act like a thermostat inthe body to restore homeostasis along
the.
What's called the HPA axes.
And that's the pathway thatcreates the stress hormone cortisol.
In fact, psychology today sayscortisol's public enemy number one.
If you want to get fat, old, tired or sick, let cortisol go crazy.
But I need cortisol.
You need to wake up in themorning as a protective mechanism
needed for energy stores.

(25:20):
But what we don't want is itto get stuck.
And so adaptogens help thebody get back to homeostasis chemically
and then emotionally, we breakand get the body back to homeostasis
through hope.
Hope deferred makes the heartsick, but a desire fulfills the tree
of life.
So seeing the goodness of Godin my future helps me restore homeostasis

(25:40):
emotionally and allows me tobecome resilient once again.
So, three ways to.
I want the body to adapt, butwe need it to recover.
And I can restore homeostasisneurologically with movement.
I can restore it chemicallythrough adaptogens, and I can restore
it emotionally through hope.
So good.
Well, and I would guess alsoit's learning how to turn off your

(26:03):
sympathetic nervous system, right?
Which is what you're talkingabout as to getting stuck in the
fight or flight.
And so there's lots of easyways people can do little releases
or exercises to help withthat, if that's something.
I mean, it's probably a goodthing to do in general, right, to
know how to do these things.
Never want to get the bodystuck in a stress response.

(26:24):
So we need.
Stress is inevitable.
I need to adapt to it, but Ineed to recover more than anything.
And so, yes, anything I can doto restore motion in the spine, anything,
you know, any adaptogenic herbis great for calming the stress response.
And cortisol and just yourattitude and hope helps the body
get back to homeostasis emotionally.

(26:47):
Isn't that true?
Hope?
It's always about hope, isn't it?
I mean, you know, if.
If we don't have hope, I mean,it's just.
I mean, we literally start toprobably wither, right?
I mean, in other words, weneed to see something to be hopeful.
For, you know, whether it'sour future or you know, what we're
working on, our family or youknow, hope in God.
So yeah, it's so powerful.
So what else would you justwant to share with us?

(27:08):
Just to, you know, continuethat message, hope of what you've
walked through and how you'rehelping so many people.
You know, what would you maybesay is something people can hold
on to?
I mean, their faith, ofcourse, but I don't know, just to
continue to encourage them intheir health journeys.
I think the biggest thing isknowing that there's nothing too
hard for God.
We serve the living God, anall powerful miracle working God.

(27:29):
And he created your body to work.
If you cut your finger, youdon't have to tell it to heal, it
just heals because there's aninnate in born ability for the body
to heal.
It's innate self regulating,healing organism.
So nature is to heal, it's notto break down.
I think we've been led tobelieve that just you're going to
get sicker and sicker andsicker and then you're going to die.

(27:51):
But that's not the case.
The body is brilliant.
It was created to heal.
And so just be encouraged with that.
And no matter where you findyourself on the journey, we can get
you moved in the rightdirection and we can gain momentum
and truly see amazing thingstake place.
Right now I'm serving cancerpatients from all over the world
and my biggest message iscancer does not have to be a death

(28:13):
sentence.
I know you're told it is.
I was told it is.
But it doesn't have to be adeath sentence.
And we can begin to build thebody back up and make sure that chronic
illness and cancer is nolonger hospitable in the body.
We can open up detoxificationpathways, add the sufficiency that
the body needs, all with, withfoods and, and modalities that God

(28:35):
gave us on the earth to reallybegin to build the body back up.
Yeah.
So powerful.
And you know, also in one ofyou, in your protocol, you also share
so many healing scripturesthat you both relied on or you know,
prayed over that you also justshare with other people.
Right.
That want to download that protocol.
Is there just anything you'dshare about that?

(28:56):
Just, you know, you've, you'vetalked already about kind of praying
over or you know, getting inthe word about what we're promised.
And so I think that'sobviously such a big element or aspect.
Anything else you'd shareabout that?
Yeah.
And so I have an 87 pageprotocol that I laid out when my
wife allowed me to invitepeople into our journey on social
media.

(29:16):
So on Thanksgiving, three daysafter I was diagnosed, I approached
my wife and I said, hey, wouldit be okay if we invite people into
this journey with us?
And obviously she wasapprehensive knowing what the doctors
had just told us, but she waswilling because I just said, you
know, if we're going to goout, we might as well go out swinging
and we might as well go outinspiring as many people as we can.
And she allowed me to.

(29:37):
And so we just kind of, wejust share our journey on social
media and we provide a freedownload, what's called a resilience
protocol.
I think it is right now likean 87 page document that has the,
basically the philosophy byhow we've approached care, has books
that are inspiration to me, ithas all the modalities and supplements

(30:00):
that I use.
It has healing scriptures, ithas the secrets to walking in faith.
And we just try to provideevery resource that we can to just
encourage people on this journey.
And hundreds of thousands ofpeople have downloaded this protocol
so far and we're just hopingthat it will just be a blessing and
refresh others.
I mean it's, it's prettyamazing how much information and

(30:23):
care you put into creating it.
You know, whether you arealready walking through a diagnosis
like that or not, it has a lotof amazing information in it.
So I definitely encouragepeople to read it because there's
so many times where peoplegive you a protocol, but it's not
all of it, right?
You really tried to puteverything into it and whether someone's
going to do every single thingyou did.
The point is, is you shareeach of the areas and all the things

(30:47):
and it is just a wonderfulresource that you're providing.
Now I do want to ask you, Iknow through one of your practices
or businesses you actually, you know, work with people to do
consultations.
I don't know for sure, Icouldn't tell.
Do you also offer the all thetesting or just another company do
that?
So you know, part of the endof the protocol we provide the opportunity

(31:10):
for people to meet with me.
And when people download theprotocol by simply typing protocol
in any one of the videos onour social media, in the comments
and then follow your messages, basically go to your messages and
you can download that protocol.
But we also give you theopportunity to set up a one on one
consult with one of our teamand that consult will allow us to

(31:31):
just kind of walk with you onthis journey.
The consult allows someone tobe introduced to our program called
Be Resilient, which is thefunctional labs, which is setting
you up with a nutritionist, setting you up with a certified trauma
coach to.
Because 90% of cancers now areproven to have an emotional trigger.
And so we want to make surethat we can make sure there's no

(31:53):
traumatic memories that gotwrongfully stuck in the amygdala
of your brain, the emotionalcenter, so they can go back in the
cortex.
Your brain can heal.
We have live Q&As.
And so we do allow people theopportunity to walk personally with
us to do all the labs, thetailor made supplements, the meal
plans and everything else ifthat's what they want to do.
But just the resilienceprotocol on its own is a free guide

(32:16):
and we provide tons of information.
We have so many people thathave said, Dr. Pete, my PSA levels
have dropped.
I had prostate cancer, breastcancer, the tumors are shrinking.
And so we're just so, sograteful just to provide people hope
and inspire them hopefullyalong the way.
So powerful.
So let me just ask you, whatwould you say was maybe something

(32:37):
new that you added in the lastyear that you thought was the most
powerful, whether it wasphysically or just, you know, I don't
know how you felt energy wise, but you know, there's a lot of things
in your modalities that you use.
There's a lot of differenttests you did.
But did you feel like therewas one thing or one area that was
kind of like most eye openingto you or had the biggest impact?

(32:58):
Yeah, I just think just thefive pillars of making sure that
my diet's personalizedsupplements are personalized, that
that would open updetoxification pathways and how important
detoxification is when itcomes to healing and, and then how
that will improve oxygenationand then obviously faith and just
living from the right vantagepoint and seeing my life and seeing

(33:22):
the vision for my life andseeing my kids grow up and grandkids
and so forth.
Without vision, people perish.
They cast off restraint.
And so making sure that I hada vision for the joy set before me
you can endure.
And so making sure that I hada vision that was for my life in
the future and really justbeginning to meditate on that as
well.
But I think, you know, some ofthe most simple things are just a

(33:45):
mini trampoline and howeffective and brilliant just jumping
on a mini trampoline is just10 minutes a day and how it just
provides so many benefits fromoxygenation to detoxification to
improving circulation andlymphatic drainage and just being
a great tool for exercise.
That was one of the, probablythe simplest revelations, just how

(34:06):
powerful a mini trampoline is.
And.
But then there's just so manyother things that we've learned.
We're still learning.
We're still, you know, tryingto be, to walk humbly and be very
teachable and just to continueto ask the Lord to give us wisdom
and discernment and how weempower a generation of cancer patients
to truly get well.
So good.
Yeah.

(34:26):
And I have a mini trampolineor rebounder too, and I enjoy getting
on it and I try to do it, youknow, most every day, but it is,
it's simple.
It doesn't take up a lot of space.
They usually can get, youknow, put away or whatever.
So definitely there's a lot ofresearch on that.
So, you know, I guess onething I'd say is I think most people,

(34:49):
we could all benefit from whatyou just said, which is we want to
be people that continue tolearn, that we continue to educate
ourselves.
Because going and working withsomebody, whether it's your practice
of functional medicine, somebody is amazing and right.
They have the experience, theyknow what you might want to test
on.
But at the end of the day, wehave to be open minded.

(35:09):
We still have to do our ownsome learning.
So what, would you just shareabout that with people?
Because I think sometimes wejust want to listen to the expert
and that's okay, but we alsoneed to just understand and educate
ourselves, I think a bit as well.
I think that's the biggestthing is just empower yourself and
educate yourself.

(35:31):
That what the doctor saysdoesn't have to be biblical.
Truth.
I respect, I submit to if yougo to a doctor's office, but you
have to understand the contextas well.
You know, in the medicalsystem right now, as long as they
keep you within standard ofcare, they're protected under their
malpractice.
So they have to almost playignorant when it comes to lifestyle

(35:52):
modification, when it comes todiet and so forth.
And most oncologists will tellyou that diet means nothing, but
that is garbage simply for thefact that they will give you a PET
scan that will fill you upwith radiographic glucose and light
you up, your cancer up like aChristmas tree.
Yet food means nothing.
And I think those people thatreally focus on establishing the

(36:12):
train, regardless of thetreatment that they do, do better
off.
And then the oncologists andthe medical people that come to me
every single week and say, Dr.B, whatever you say, we will do,
but our hands are tied.
And so it's just unfortunatelythe system that many have succumbed
to and they're really, theirhands are tied in the midst of that

(36:33):
system.
And so educate yourself, empower yourself, do research, do
due diligence, and find adoctor that's willing to support
you and is open to otheralternatives and really just wants
you to survive.
And knowing that all of thesevariables play a huge factor in whether
you recover or not.

(36:54):
So good.
Okay, so last question.
What would you say is fuelingyou right now?
Is there anything that's justfueling your faith or fueling your
life right now?
Just Jesus.
That Jesus has filled my boatand he's my everything.
And just to grow in greaterand greater intimacy with him, knowing

(37:15):
that my God is so big, sostrong, and so my.
There's nothing my God cannot do.
Just because in the midst ofthe storm, the enemy tries to get
up in your business, so to speak.
He tries to drown out thereality of who we are in Christ.
And just to know that Jesus isthe lily in the midst of every valley
that we walk through and thathe is there.
He's an ever present help in atime of need.

(37:37):
He never leaves you norforsakes you.
If God is for us, who careswho's against us?
He's our El Shaddai or God ofmore than enough.
And I really believe that hewants to be magnified in all of you,
watching wholeness, body, souland spirit.
So it's just Jesus.
Simply Jesus.
So good.
Yeah.
And remember, we are promised this.

(37:58):
We're not just promisedeverlasting life.
He wants us to be whole andhealed, mind, body and spirit.
If we, you know, would just,if we have enough belief and then
also take action.
So, so powerful.
Okay, so Dr. Pete, just tellus where's the best place for people
to connect with you and learnmore about your protocol and just
more about your story?
Honestly, just simplyfollowing me on Instagram or Facebook.

(38:21):
Dr. Pete Sulek D R P E T E S UL A C K and then you can comment
protocol in any one of thevideos and follow your messages and
you can download an 87 pageguide free for you.
Hundreds of thousands ofpeople from all over the world have
downloaded it so far and Ipray that it blesses you.

(38:42):
So good.
Well, thank you so much forjoining us today, sharing your story
of hope, sharing, you know, all the things that you put together
for us just to understand howwe can actually, whether we feel
healthy or not whether we'rewalking through a health diagnosis.
We can kind of take backreally having whole healthy bodies
and of course, the power ofprayer and our faith and how important,

(39:04):
the most important thing thatit is.
So thank you for joining me today.
It's been a huge honor.
I hope that Dr. Peet's storytoday just helped you to deepen your
resolve to continue to grow inyour faith with Jesus.
I hope that it was a reminderthat we've got to believe what God

(39:24):
promises us, which is hepromises us healing, not just salvation.
And there's an episode that Irecently shared with Kathleen Johnson
about healed to heal.
And she's basically sharingstories throughout history of people
that were divinely healed by God.
And so I just want to share afew things from that episode with
you.

(39:45):
The first is the power of Godis always available to anyone who's
willing to believe it, speakit, and act on it.
That's when miracles happen.
That was by T.L.
osborne.
And then she goes on to say, there's more to the gospel.
Don't miss your healing.
We need to start seeingthrough the lens of God's promise.
All things are possible forthe one who believes there is more

(40:07):
than enough evidence this istrue, but but only when we stop bringing
God's word down to ourexperience, instead stand on his
word until our experiencerises to meet his truth in the unseen.
And one other point that shemakes is Andrew Murray said he will
heal him who asks in faith?
And then one important thingshe says, when God heals you, it's

(40:30):
never just for you.
And the reason I bring that upis much like Dr. Pete is doing, he
is sharing his story.
He's sharing his testimony of healing.
He's sharing the protocol heused, including the healing scriptures
that he prayed on, that heprayed over himself.
And so I just hope thisepisode encourages you.

(40:53):
Be your own best health advocate.
Find people to partner with.
Whether you're feeling good orwhether you're walking through a
diagnosis of chronic illnessor cancer or a loved one is there
is hope.
There's hope in your faith.
There's hope in getting yourbody to a place and fixing your terrain
so that your body can do themiraculous, which is heal itself

(41:14):
because it was designed to dojust that.
