It is that independence day so many Americans mark their calendars for. Fireworks, BBQs, parties, friends, families, and soul. Whether it is finding pieces of culture that reconnect and reappropriate your history, or if it is simply finding a sol you jive with and making a connection; the real point of these weeks of freedom, these celebratory days of independence is the people, and their walk in life.
We had the privilege to run into Esteban of @PuestoXicano at the @soulswap meet. We exchanged glances, awkward fumbling of appreciation, and a whole bunch of love and soul. So much so that we had to sit down and hold a much deeper conversation in order to learn where the antiquities, jewelry and flavor come from. A moment of conversation blessed to bloom into a connection that will last beyond time, as long as we nurture it; the same way we nurture our own humanity.
Please take a moment to listen to two sols walking the journey of life, and what it means to find the simple beauty of conversation between two wandering sols. Whether it is diving into a world of self discovery, or exploring the bounds of self-confidence and the voice we hold within.
