Philipa Booyens is a filmmaker, author and advocate who has used her platform to help and teach others. Alongside her husband Jaco Booyens, Philipa wrote and produced the movie 8 Days, which provides a very real look at sex trafficking in America as it follows the story of a trafficked teenage girl. Philipa embodies the American idea that freedom is a fight everyone must partake in. She has willingly used her time and talents in whatever ways she can to make a difference in our world and nation.
