This week we run through Psalm 91 and talk about how important this portion of scripture is. All scripture is important of course, but we talk about how we have been able to apply this portion of scripture to things that have taken place over the last few years, and assure us of the hope that we have in God. We cannot allow fear to rule our lives any longer.
According to scripture God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. I will walk in God’s power, I will walk in God’s love, I will walk in the Mind of Christ, I will walk, and speak in God’s boldness and I will walk in God’s faith. I will not fear what man can do unto me, for I know that God is my source, my protector, my all in all. Whenever fear tries to sneak up on me, I will boldly speak God’s word for His word says that He has given me power over ALL the power of the enemy. I will be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. I will Put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. I know I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore, I will take the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. I will Stand therefore, having my loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and my feet will be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, I take the shield of faith, so that I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And I will take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: I will pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Amen
