Bio: Dr. William Darity Jr., also known as Sandy Darity, is the Samuel DuBois (pronounced Dew Boys) Cook Professor of Public Policy, African and African American Studies, Economics, and Business and director of the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University. Over the course of his academic career, his research has focused on the topics of racial and ethnic economic inequality and reparative justice. He launched the field of stratification economics in 2005. His 2020 award-winning publication, From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century, was coauthored with A. Kirsten Mullen.
