Dr. Lonnie Givens is the Director of Global Medical Affairs Training and Development at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical. He leads a team of specialists who provide, train and support various internal medical affairs professional roles across 15 rare and ultra-rare genetic disorders & treatment modalities. Prior to this, Dr. Givens served as a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) where he focused on rare diseases such as X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH). He has worked as an MSL and Senior Sales Representative for Eli Lilly and as a Pharmacy Manager for Target Pharmacy. Dr. Givens holds a PharmD degree from Midwestern University - Chicago College of Pharmacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Illinois State University. In his free time, he enjoys mentoring, volunteering and spending time with his wife and daughter.
