SPEAKER_00 (00:02):
Well, hello, and
welcome back to the Healthy
Living Podcast.
I'm your host, Joe Grumbine, andtoday we have a very special
guest.
His name is Ravi Cathruya.
I hope I said that right.
I usually go over that right, but uh you know, Ruby, it's uh
it's a pleasure to meet you.
So Ruby is uh he's got a missionto awaken the world by sharing
(00:25):
the truths.
Uh, spirituality is stunninglysimple and practical.
It's non-religious and availableuniversally without judgment.
Spirituality is in our DNA andit's accessible 24-7.
Spirituality is the universe'sultimate gift.
And and um, you know, you wrotea couple of books, How Cohesive
(00:47):
is Your Company and Happy Soul,Hungry Mind, a modern day
parable about spirituality.
And uh it sounds like we have somuch to talk about.
So, Ravi, welcome to the show.
I'd like to just jump in andstart talking.
SPEAKER_01 (01:00):
No, but perfect.
Uh Joe, I I appreciate youhaving me on the on the show.
What a pleasure.
I want to congratulate you foryour life and your life's work.
Uh, I read about what you'redoing with Gardens of Hope and
how wonderful that is.
That made me feel so good.
I almost wanted to come visit.
SPEAKER_00 (01:20):
I said, We'd love to
have you.
You know, I extend an offer toall my guests to come out and
see you again.
And every once in a while, onewill come by and and and share
some time, you know.
SPEAKER_01 (01:30):
Yes, yes, yes.
I I love nature, and uh the thedanger maybe, Joe, is I might
come and never leave.
So be careful with that.
SPEAKER_00 (01:40):
You wouldn't be the
you wouldn't be the first, it
probably won't be the last.
SPEAKER_01 (01:46):
Yeah, I love nature
and and nature has such a uh
incredible impact on us humanbeings, and we we need to we
need to be cognizant of that, and we want to we need to
appreciate that and benefit fromit.
Right.
You are something I spoke overyou, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (02:04):
We're part of
nature, you know.
I think a lot of times we forgetthat that um you know nature is
all living things, and and andalso a lot of not living things,
you know.
It's it's it's really the wholeuniverse, and we're an integral
part of it, and we're actuallywe're all connected, you know.
We we're barely even beginningto learn and understand that,
(02:26):
but we're all we're allconnected.
SPEAKER_01 (02:29):
Absolutely,
absolutely.
SPEAKER_00 (02:32):
Tell us a little bit
about yourself, you know.
You've obviously got a uminteresting background that
brought you to these messagesthat you're sharing with people.
And uh why don't you tell us alittle bit about how you came to
this place?
SPEAKER_01 (02:48):
Sure.
Uh, sure.
Uh let me let me uh share myjourney so far.
But uh, you know, you you madean interesting comment before
you asked me this question, which was we're all connected.
And so uh let me tee off of thatfor just a second, right?
It's too tempting for me toleave it on the table, right?
SPEAKER_00 (03:08):
It's all good.
Yeah, I love it, I love it.
SPEAKER_01 (03:11):
You're right.
Uh we'll get to me.
I'm not that interesting.
SPEAKER_02 (03:19):
I love it.
SPEAKER_01 (03:20):
Let's talk about uh
yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, uh, and and yeah, so thethe when when people ask me who
I am, uh you know, my my lifejourney is okay.
You know, it's it's the is thecharacter that we play, but
really at the at the very coreessence, I am the universe.
SPEAKER_00 (03:41):
Exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (03:42):
Yes, I'm not the
entire universe, but I
absolutely am the essence of theuniverse, and the universe is in
me, yes, and it is outside meand in me.
You can you know it's it's likeI am the I'm the drop of water
in the ocean, right?
Not all water, but you betterbelieve it, I am as much water
as the ocean.
So you cannot separate the oceanfrom me, right?
(04:07):
Uh and for and neither can youtake me out.
I mean, I will always be water,right?
And and so then oneness, I amthe universe, and guess what?
We all are, we are all part ofthis universe.
You talked about nature.
Uh we are nature, we are theuniverse, right?
We are the essence.
I am I'm no different than atree, right?
(04:29):
I am no different than an ant.
And for me to think that I amdifferent, um is is is a is a
little presumptuous because I amI'm just a being in this
universe, and I have both matterand energy that comprises me,
but we're all we're all one,we're all energy and and matter,
(04:50):
right?
And so if we introduce ourselvesas we are all the universe, uh
how how beautiful that is, howhow how true that is, right?
SPEAKER_00 (05:02):
One is how true it
is.
You know what blows me away isin this world of information,
the media and politics, and youknow, all this chaos and and and
negativity that's out there, themessage is generally about how
we're different.
(05:23):
Yes, how I'm not like you, andthat's so false.
It's all so false.
You know, when you find out whenwe're when when our life force
goes away from our body and weburn it into ashes, and you know
what?
You can't tell the ashes from atree, from the ashes of an
animal, from the ashes of ahuman, it's all the same stuff.
SPEAKER_01 (05:45):
It's all yeah, how
beautiful is that?
How beautiful is what you say, because uh we're all one.
Uh at the end of the day, we arewe are just matter, right?
Exactly.
We are matter, and you know, there is an ad that used to come
on TV.
I think it was an ad for a caror something, and the guy is
driving on a beautiful hillyroad, and then he stops and he
(06:09):
watches uh a bunch of birdsflying in the sky, and then he
he's talking over it and andtrying to prove how we need to
push ourselves, and then onebird pulls ahead of the rest,
right?
And then they focus on thatbird.
The message being, you know, drive this car and pull ahead of
the rest.
You know, the material world isalways trying to push you ahead
(06:34):
of others to differentiate you,right?
You need to be uh the richest onthe block, you need to have the
biggest house, the biggest car,you need to have the most
beautiful spouse and the bestbehaved kids on earth, right?
You and your kids need to dowell.
Forget you doing well, your kidsneed to do well, right?
If your life was not screwed up,you know, now we put pressure on
(06:57):
you to make your kids' lifescrewed up, right?
So, all of this, we all have tocompete.
We're always competing, competing with friends, right?
Competing with family members,right?
And there is always thatpressure.
But when we come to thespiritual dimension, when our
very identity is dissolved, yousay if your identity itself is
(07:18):
dissolved, there is no questionof ego, because there is ego
cannot survive without anidentity, it needs identity.
You yank the the platform, thethe base of ego, when you remove
the identity, there is nothing.
There is you are just pureenergy, and and it is the
essence of oneness, right?
(07:40):
It's it's in our minds wedifferentiate when we quiet the
mind, there is only onenessleft.
How beautiful is that?
SPEAKER_00 (07:49):
Um how how amazing.
Powerful, and uh you know, people spend a lifetime trying
to find that, whether it'sthrough a religion or a practice
or education.
SPEAKER_01 (08:02):
Yes.
Excuse me, I might sneeze.
Oh sorry about that.
SPEAKER_00 (08:10):
No, no worries.
SPEAKER_01 (08:11):
I thought I was
done.
Yeah, that was the last one.
Um right, and and now your youryour question about my my
journey.
So I'm I'm happy to answer that.
And and and I I I can alreadytell whatever I answer is going
to be so trivial compared to Iam the universe.
SPEAKER_00 (08:31):
It's still
interesting to see how each of
us finds our way to the place, you know, as infinite as the
universe is, and as we are allpart of it, we all also have an
experience that we live that isunique to our to our piece of
this.
SPEAKER_01 (08:51):
Yes, yes.
Uh no, absolutely.
We we you know, we all have ourunique journey and we have all
have a piece of it.
Uh, I just want to make surenobody um uh mimics their life
on what I have done.
Don't do what I do, listen towhat I say, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (09:08):
Don't do what I do.
SPEAKER_01 (09:09):
Yeah, let don't let
my actions and life be your
inspiration, please.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (09:16):
You don't want to go
the way I went.
SPEAKER_01 (09:18):
It's not the first
now now.
What I talk about, uh absolutelybecause because that's not you
know, the the the the thingsthat I talk about, especially
when it comes to spiritualthing, absolutely, that is
groundbreaking, but it's notbecause I am saying it.
Right.
Me saying it doesn't make itgroundbreaking, it's
groundbreaking because it is allright.
(09:40):
Uh so let's let's get my partdone quickly here, and then
we'll we'll get to uh you knowuh the the the the the
spirituality aspect.
So I you know I've uh when I was14 or 15, um I had uh a
meditation experience and and Iwould I realized that I enjoyed
being peaceful.
(10:00):
And so I I would I would findmyself not playing with friends,
but my best pastime was walkingin the fields when everybody was
playing and then justcontemplating right questions
that um I grew up in a in afamily when my dad was very
spiritual and uh veryanalytical, philosophical, my
mother, right?
And so I grew up in that in thatfamily, and then I have lived a
(10:23):
life.
Uh you know, and it this pieceand meditation has always been
in the background.
Uh I did I did come to the USwhen I was 21 years old to
pursue higher education and youknow, worked for companies, got
laid off, did the uh paid thenews, then created two
companies, uh a managementconsulting executive coaching
(10:45):
form, and then uh anothercompany which hosts uh strategic
conferences.
I've done that, written twobooks, one book on business, um
bit quote it in in uh nationalpublications from Forbes to Wall
Street Journal in on businessaspects.
But then I realized um in inabout you know around 2016 or so
(11:11):
is that I can continue to focuson business and make more money,
but that that money was notgoing to make a difference to me
when I was on my deathbed.
Right, right.
I mean, I I I had an idea whichI believed, I don't know if it
was true or not, that could makeserious amounts of money, right?
I had a software idea whichwhich would have and so, but I
(11:33):
said, okay, in order to make aserious amount of money, you
know, what's a serious amount ofmoney?
Uh several hundred millionbillion dollars.
I said it would take me 20, 30years.
Right, right.
You gotta do it, and I I wouldhave to, and and and then I
would be at the end of my life, right?
And what am I gonna do with thatbillion dollars at the end of my
life?
SPEAKER_00 (11:51):
Yeah, give it to
somebody.
SPEAKER_01 (11:53):
Either my kids are
going to be really happy, or my
doctors are gonna be reallyhappy, or my lawyers are gonna
be happy.
I it's not gonna make me happy,right?
What am I so what is it?
So I I I I asked myself, okay,you know, you've Ravi, you've
been talking about spirituality, and every opportunity I would
get, I would tell people my mygoal in life is is to make
(12:14):
spiritual progress.
And I said to myself, you know, you you talk the talk, it's time
to walk the walk.
And so I said, okay, I won'tpursue the project.
I decided to pull together allthe thoughts and ideas that
concepts that I had aboutspirituality, because I'd been
thinking about it for a longtime, right?
And I made little notes and Isaid, it's time to write my book
(12:37):
on spirituality.
I told my elder son about it,and he said, Dad, you don't
understand your second book hasto be in the same genre as your
first book.
You know, that's when yourealize your kids have grown up
and they start giving youadvice.
Exactly.
You know, I but I told myselfthat you know, I people ask me
(13:00):
what inspired me to write towrite these books, and I say
nothing inspired me.
And I and I look at their face,it has abject disappointment
because they're expecting tohear some historical religious
figures, some event in my life.
Right.
I was not inspired, I wascompelled, I did not have a
choice to write this book.
(13:22):
And so Happy Soul, Hungry Mindcame about, uh, got published
around 2000, took me threeyears.
Um, you know, both these booksalmost nearly killed me because
I'm not an author.
Right?
And and and they they'reexcruciating uh amount of hard
work.
But happy soul, hungry mind, umincredible experience because
(13:44):
when I was writing it, uh, Ibegan to write stuff which I did
not know existed in my mind.
Wow, I had no idea where thiswas coming from.
I had never heard anybody talkabout it.
I had not thought about it, butit was just flowing.
And I was looking at the paperand said, This is mind-bocking,
(14:04):
but I I wish I knew where it wascoming from.
SPEAKER_00 (14:08):
Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_01 (14:09):
And if I was trying
to create a religion, I would
have claimed I went up the somehill or mountain and you know,
sat there in code for uh 14days, and voila, I had a
revelation.
SPEAKER_00 (14:22):
But no, it's got
your tablets in the comfort of
my beautiful home.
SPEAKER_01 (14:29):
This is where it
flowed, and and you know, it's
mind-boggling these spiritualtruths.
Uh uh, and which is what I wassaying earlier is is my journey
of life.
I'm just an ordinary humanbeing.
I sweat and bleed uh and I and Icry like uh a bray, and I and I
have stress and anxiety.
Um, yeah, there is nothing aboutme but that if you're focused on
(14:56):
me, then you're focused on thewrong thing.
Focus on what these spiritualtruths are, right?
And these are just oh my god, they are the ramification of
these spiritual truths are justso profound, they can change the
course of human history, right?
SPEAKER_00 (15:18):
You know, it seems
like it comes down to uh what
some people call your heart'sdesire.
You know, you found that earlyin your life, most people don't.
You know, when you were 14, youdiscovered that you found a love
of peace.
Yes, you you some part of yourheart always looked for that.
(15:38):
And and so you had like a apoint on the map that you were
heading to inside, whether youwere doing it outside or not.
SPEAKER_01 (15:49):
Yeah, I call it, you
know, I call it spiritual
gravity.
Spiritual gravity, I did a postmany years ago on I think on
Instagram.
But spiritual gravity is actingon us all the time, just like
physical gravity, right?
Right.
Uh physical gravity is acting onnow.
I may not realize it.
(16:10):
I walk around, I dance, I dowhatever, right?
I never realize that gravity isacting on me.
I jump up and down.
It's gravity that keeps me andnever think about it.
Yeah, you know, if I had notstudied, gone to school, I would
not have, I am not as uh smartas uh uh Newton, right?
(16:30):
Newton figured out his gravity.
I am not smart as Newton, I haveto have got my entire life not
knowing that uh what brings medown is the earth, not my
weight.
SPEAKER_00 (16:40):
Right, right,
exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (16:42):
Right?
But it's the same spiritualgravity is acting on us all the
time, whether we know it or not,it is beckoning us, and uh we
find that we try to address thatneed for peace through happiness
in the world, right?
We were looking for pleasure,we're looking for love, and we
(17:04):
we we try to equate it, we tryto backfill that.
When we awaken and we say, Oh,what I've really been looking
for is not external.
I can fulfill what I'm lookingfor.
SPEAKER_00 (17:22):
That's the day when
the switch turns on and your
life begins to change.
I couldn't agree more.
You know, it's it's wild.
Um, you were very fortunate inthat you found it through really
just you're following your yourheart.
Yeah.
And and you know, you had thegood sense to do that.
(17:46):
A lot of people ignore whattheir heart says and they go
after what you know people aretelling them or what you know
the media tells you, or somepeople find it through horrible
tragedy, you know, um overcominga very aggressive cancer right
now.
And I discovered um I discoveredthat connection in the midst of
(18:11):
that journey, and I I came to aplace where I had to put all of
my attention to this one thing,or I was gonna die.
And when I came to that placewhere all my attention came to
this one thing, I felt a lightstart to grow in me.
And all my life I've tried tomeditate, I've tried to, you
(18:33):
know, get to this place whereyou came to easier than I.
And through this most difficulttragedy, whoop, I guess jumped
into it.
Now I have no problem, and I canclose my eyes and and and be one
um without any trouble.
So the the the sometimes, youknow, we all come from all these
(18:54):
different places, and it itreally comes down to what are
you gonna do?
You know, what are you gonna do?
SPEAKER_01 (18:59):
Yes, yes.
Uh Mr.
Grambine, may I have yourpermission to bless you?
Oh, absolutely, please.
Uh please close your eyes.
I'm putting my thumb in betweenyour eyebrows and pressing
gently.
(19:22):
And putting your palm my palm onyour forehead.
And then moving it slowlytowards the top of your head.
And then repeating you.
(20:06):
Thank you, Joe.
SPEAKER_00 (20:10):
Thank you, that was
beautiful.
I felt it.
SPEAKER_01 (20:15):
Thank you.
Thank you for letting me alone.
SPEAKER_00 (20:19):
We're we're now
connected in a new way.
We are I love it.
SPEAKER_01 (20:27):
I lost two of my uh
friends to cancer.
And um Yeah, sometimes I I Iquestion myself that if I truly
was special, maybe I would havebeen able to change that course.
SPEAKER_00 (20:44):
But though exist,
and uh we all have the our piece
in this, and and as we're allpart of the universe, we're not
all responsible for everything.
You have a gift, and I now havea gift, and I help cancer people
now with what I've learned andhow to help them solve their
(21:06):
problems and how to teach themto solve their problems.
So now people find me throughthis podcast and other venues.
And I help people all the time, where before I could have never
even talked to them, I didn'tknow.
SPEAKER_01 (21:17):
Yes, God bless you,
sir.
Thank you for your work.
Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_00 (21:21):
Absolutely.
So your book is is uh I I'mlooking forward to reading your
book.
Why don't you tell us a littlebit about um Happy Soul, Hungry
Mind?
SPEAKER_01 (21:35):
Yeah, so Happy Soul,
Hungry Mind is a very
interesting book because it'sthe story of a young
entrepreneur, he's a young CEO,he's a small company, and he's
really struggling, verydisappointed in in how he's not
able to achieve the goals thathe set out for the company.
(21:55):
And then he has a personaltragedy.
And now the man is completelybroken, right?
And so it's it's the it's aconversation that happens.
Um actually the the book is youknow, the story is just unfolds
it.
It's it's an entire conversationbetween this man and his mentor
(22:17):
in in an entire day.
That's it.
That's the story, right?
And in the conversation.
And he he runs into his mentoruh and he says, I I want to
sleep for one uh freaking nightuh in peace.
He says, That's all I'm I'm notable to, and and you know, he's
he's uh he's young, he'sambitious, he has energy, uh but
(22:42):
he just doesn't know where lifeis taking him, right?
Right.
And so it's it's a discussionbetween these two men, and uh,
you know it's a discussion thatis humorous at times, but it's
contentious at times, right?
They're debating because this isnot uh this is not a faith-based
(23:03):
uh discussion, right?
This is not do this because havefaith in me or have respect for
me.
This is a logical discussion.
This man is not ready for faith.
His faith is gone, right?
Right?
He wants real answers, logicalanswers.
(23:25):
This is not a man who's going tobe satisfied with I hate to say
it, BS.
Right?
You cannot give a man who's inthat situation.
Yeah, you know, and then thereis a line in the book, he says,
and you know, uh anybody, well,I I guess it's it's a spoiler,
(23:46):
you know, he loses his child.
And uh he says, anybody, thenext person who comes and tells
me that God took my child awaybecause he loves him more, I'm
gonna box them in the face.
Wow.
Yeah, and so you you know, youhave this and you say, Okay, all
right, we have a man who is inso much pain.
(24:09):
How can spirituality, canspirituality help this person?
And it's non-religiousspirituality, because
spirituality, there is only onekind of spirituality which is
non-religious.
There is no religiousspirituality, spirituality is
never religious, it cannot be.
SPEAKER_00 (24:26):
Religion is is a is
a tool of man, it has nothing to
do with spirit, really.
I think.
SPEAKER_01 (24:33):
Yeah, it does not,
it cannot, right?
And so they go back and forthtalking about life, the
challenges, they talk aboutfinding peace, how to make
progress on the spiritual path, and really helping each other's
careers because his mentor uh isno saint himself.
SPEAKER_02 (24:56):
Right, right.
SPEAKER_01 (24:57):
As we find out later
by you know uh spoilers of the
book, uh left and right.
But uh but it's it's you knowit's how the the the story
unfolds, and all of us, youknow, Travis and Rishi are these
characters.
(25:19):
Uh Travis is the the CEO, Rishiis the mentor.
But we we all have Travis andRishi within us.
And we we we go through we gothrough grief, we go through
challenges in life, we getupset, we get irritated, and
then there is a side of us thatcalms us down.
(25:40):
And this this dance is going onus all the time.
So that's what the book isabout.
But what the book really does, the I I you know it's as an
objective assessment.
The book presents thesespiritual truths that every one
of us can go verify forourselves, which truly are
(26:03):
groundbreaking because theydon't require fate, they do not
require you to die and then findout if it is true.
Right.
Okay, you can verify in themnow, here, and understand the
logic, right?
And then go, yes, this makessense to me, and then practice
(26:25):
and experience the truths foryourself, right?
And I I I obviously just loveit.
I love I love what the bookpresents.
Um, it truly can change lives, and it should.
SPEAKER_00 (26:43):
So it seems to me
that um part of your purpose is
to share these truths thatyou've discovered with other
people so that they can betterthemselves and discover them for
themselves.
And as an author, you've beenable to put this information
(27:05):
out.
Do you reach out to people inother ways, or is there do you
counsel people or do you uhspeak publicly, or how how do
you uh I I do uh you know, I Icounsel people on through my
spirituality within work, whichis the the channel.
SPEAKER_01 (27:22):
My channel is called
Spirituality Within, the
website, all of that isspirituality within.
So through that, I help people.
I of course in my uh company, II've been an executive coach for
25 years.
And so I've coached CEOs andtop-level executives, very rich
people, on what they feel andhow they should go.
But you know, both business sideand my first book is is uh is
(27:46):
also the story of a CEO doing abusiness transformation and
going through or needing to gothrough a personal
transformation.
So I I I have done that, I I docoaching all the time.
Um and you know, I reach out, II have my own YouTube channel
and then my social media andwebsite.
I write articles all the time umand and do podcasts, um you
(28:09):
know, do a lot of podcasts andreach out because the these
truths have been how should Isay this?
We have been deprived of thesetruths.
Uh spirituality is incrediblysimple.
(28:30):
You know, thousands of yearsago, the sages in India
discovered spirituality, right?
And since then, religion haslayered dogmas, doctrines,
complexity, mysticism, mysteriousness on top of it, but
we have lost it.
Right.
(28:51):
And now, if you look atspirituality, if you go do a um
a search on Wikipedia or Googleor Chat GPT, and you will get
three, four pages longdescription of spirituality,
which will one give you aheadache, or two, put you to
sleep, or both.
Right.
They put you to sleep and youwake up with a headache.
(29:13):
You get that spiritualityhangover, and you go, wow, you
know, this is not for me.
I I got real problems in mylife.
I I really don't have time forthis to go get a PhD on
spirituality.
And so what has happened is it'screated the perception that
spirituality is for scholars, for monks, for ascetics.
It's really not for, it's notpractical.
(29:36):
And that is what I want tochange.
Spirituality is stunninglysimple and intensely practical
for us in our modern day life.
Right?
And it can it has the power toreally transform our life
because it changes ourperspective on life, it raises
(29:58):
our quality of life.
And helps us connect with thatpeace within.
Right?
Because spirituality is withinus.
You have a choice whether youfollow a religion or not.
SPEAKER_00 (30:14):
Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01 (30:15):
Spirituality is not
a choice because it is in your
DNA.
All right.
SPEAKER_00 (30:20):
But you have a
choice to seek it out and
understand it and experience itor ignore it.
So there's always a choiceinvolved.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
SPEAKER_01 (30:31):
Yeah, I I I describe
spirituality, you know, I some
people avoid it at all costs.
Yeah, you know, it's likeswimming.
Right.
Everyone on earth has theability to swim.
SPEAKER_00 (30:43):
Right.
SPEAKER_01 (30:44):
But not everyone
knows how to.
But they can learn.
SPEAKER_00 (30:47):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (30:48):
Right?
And so spirituality, and and wecan get into the why do I make
this claim that spirituality isstunningly simple?
I can answer the question, whatis spirituality?
And so your listeners can thenget uh an understanding of what
I'm talking about, becauseotherwise it's just words.
Then I think it's it's uhmarketing that I say it's
stunningly simple.
(31:09):
No friends.
And I challenge you before youknow you're about to listen to
this definition that I'm goingto give you.
But go go when you when you geta chance, search the word
spirituality and you'll get somuch mumbo jumbo around it.
Let me give you the syphilisdefinition.
SPEAKER_00 (31:27):
Okay.
SPEAKER_01 (31:28):
And it is so simple,
but you have to take it with all
the seriousness and give it therespect because its
ramifications are huge.
Okay.
Sometimes we come acrosssomething that is simple and we
do not respect it.
We'd rather respect some complexmumbo jumbo because it sounds
(31:50):
something out of touch, right?
Out of our reach.
You get these spiritual authors, leaders come on, and then they
use the eloquent terms thatrequire a dictionary.
And you say, Oh, the guy must bereally smart because I don't
understand a word of what hesaid.
Wake up, please.
Let's get serious.
This is serious.
This affects your life.
(32:11):
Don't believe the BS that getssaid, and don't get caught in
the complexity.
Here is spirituality.
Spirituality is the experienceof your own life force.
That is it.
(32:32):
This is the simplest definitionof spirituality on earth.
It cannot get any simpler thanthis, and it cannot get any
powerful than this, any morepowerful than this.
And what is the life force?
You know, there are many termswe call it.
We we call it a soul, spirit, atma.
Every language has a word forit.
But it is really the energy thatkeeps you alive, right?
(32:55):
As long as that energy is therein you, you're alive and
dynamic.
Once that leaves, you are peopleare going to say, your own
family members are going to say,you know, he or she is gone.
Okay.
Um, you're gonna know what doyou mean he's gone?
He's still here.
You know, no, he he passed away.
He's left, right?
Okay, that energy is what givesyou your dynamism when you
(33:18):
experience your own energy, yourlife begins to transform.
Okay, it's that simple.
And and think about thisdefinition for a second.
It's only what is it, what arewhat are involved in the
definition?
It's you and your life energy.
(33:39):
There is nobody else involved.
You don't need somebody'spermission, you don't need
somebody's uh blessings, you donot need to go to a pilgrimage,
you don't need to read my book.
I I wish you would read mybooks, but you don't have to
because I'm just giving you whatis core in the book, right?
I'm just is the biggest spoiler.
(33:59):
Okay, right.
Spirituality is experiencingyour own life energy when you
experience that.
Oh my god, you you you wake up.
And in fact, that, if you will,is the ultimate purpose of your
life.
Because all the other purposesin life, you may be wanting to
(34:20):
become a CEO, a movie star, youmay want to become an Olympian,
or you may just want to be a youknow, uh a school teacher and
have uh have kids, or you mayhave, you know, family, build a
good family, build a house withthe fence, uh, whatever.
All of those purposes are of themind, they're not a life
purpose.
(34:41):
Your life's ultimate purpose isto experience your own energy.
And it is a it is to experienceyour own energy, it's a natural
process, and it's an automaticprocess, and we can talk about
that.
Uh, but you need to reallyfriends, if you have if you have
listened to this podcast, pleaseremember that you should do
(35:07):
everything possible to begin toexperience your own soul.
All right, and your beliefsdon't matter.
Your it doesn't matter whetheryou are religious or not,
whether you're atheist or not,it doesn't matter, none of that
matters, friends.
It doesn't matter who you are,it doesn't matter whether you
(35:28):
are uh a prime minister or apresident or you're a soldier,
it doesn't matter if you're abillionaire or you're poor, it
doesn't matter whether you are apriest.
Or dare I say it, oh my God,this will get me uh censored.
It doesn't matter if you're asex worker, it doesn't matter
whether you're a criminal or asaint, it doesn't matter if
(35:49):
you're a man, woman, ortransgender, it doesn't matter
whether you are gay, straight, asexual, hypersexual, nothing
matters.
It doesn't matter if you're 90years old or nine years old,
friends.
It does not matter.
Every one of us on earth, without exception, without
exception, no one can be denied, can experience our own energy.
SPEAKER_00 (36:17):
Wow, that's
beautiful.
And as I suspected, we weregonna get deep into a
conversation, go way over ourtime, and I just think that you
know you encapsulated a thoughtbetter than I would have asked
you to come around and rethinkit.
I think this is amazing.
Um, Ravi, as I suspected fromthe beginning of our
(36:41):
conversation, we need to comeback and continue this.
We have much more to talk about.
But unfortunately, as you know, audience doesn't have a long
attention span.
And so if I don't cap thesethings around the time we are
at, no matter how riveting youare, people get lost and they
they water off.
(37:01):
So I'd like to uh give you thisopportunity to share how people
can find you, reach you, findyour book, all of those things.
And uh I would most ardentlywant you to come back and share
some more time here on the show.
SPEAKER_01 (37:16):
Um I would love to
be back, Joe.
It would be a privilege.
Uh, and to the listeners whohave stayed until this point,
thank you for uh holding yourattention so far.
SPEAKER_00 (37:25):
Appreciate it.

explore this.
What you've heard today issomething magnificent.
Not because I am saying it, it'sbecause it's about you.
Right.
You are magnificent.
I'm just here to tell you that.
All right, you have anincredible capability, this
(38:35):
wondrous ability to experienceyour own soul.
SPEAKER_00 (38:41):
What a beautiful
message.
And you know, it's wild thatwhen somebody makes a discovery,
whether it's the gospel orwhether it's uh experiencing
your own life force ordiscovering that something
works, it's empty unless you canshare it.
And so you've got the passion toshare this, and that tells me
(39:03):
right off the bat, even if Ididn't believe what you were
saying, I know that you've got apassion that says I've got to
find out for myself.
So that is powerful.
Well, Ravi, I just am sograteful that your publicist
found us and that we were ableto meet each other and uh thank
them.
And please um let's schedule atime to get back and continue
(39:25):
this conversation as we can.
