Interviewing Loren Sherman (Ep. 64)

This is certainly a different type of episode than others I've recorded, as the tables are turned and I am on the receiving end of questions. I had the opportunity to sit down with Dennis Mattern, who had lots of questions about our firm, Integrity Wealth Management.

Dennis is a lot of fun to talk with and an absolute pro when it comes to the interview process, as he also has a podcast show of his own and is no stranger to the microphone. After sharing this episode with their audience, Dennis and his team were gracious enough to share their video with me. 1. We start off (as we often do) explaining our unique fee structure, and how the phrase "we do well when you do well" can be misleading.
2. We talk about who our firm is a good fit for (and what happens if we are not).
3. We discuss tax planning, the importance of a fiduciary relationship, and if the term "fee-only" is really all that it's cracked up to be.
4. We wrap up by coming full circle back to the topic of fees, and how clients get more excited about the money they save, not only when they see these funds grow in a separate account, but when they are earmarked for something exciting.
