If your childhood was anything like ours, your first exposure to The Toxic Avenger was a cartoon so when you visited a house with cable and saw Toxie on screen, you assumed it was lighthearted and not a total gorefest, and then when Toxie began killing henchmen in gruesome ways, you almost got sick.
