He was a columnist for Entertainment Weekly and The Los Angeles Times, and has written for the New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, Esquire, Vanity Fair, GQ, Travel + Leisure and Town & Country.
The author of two acclaimed books, “Man Made” and “In Defense of Elitism,” Joel has also written on staff for scripted television shows.
