It was awe inspiring for us to listen to her speak on the memories of a volatile landscape in her calm and measured tone. To hear the account of an unplanned polar plunge in the Arctic left us panicking while she calmly carried on with her story. Even with the 7 months of hard training Humphries boils it down to what it actually takes: Mental Toughness.
