Group production in associationwith Five Star and TW Interiors.
This is iDesign Lab, a podcastwhere creativity and curiosity
meet style and design.

(00:22):
enthusiast, along with herserial entrepreneur husband
Scott, idesign Lab is yourultimate design podcast where we

evolution in style and trends.

influencers, innovators,fabricators and manufacturers,
as well as personal stories thatinspire, motivate and excite.
And join us on this elevated, informative and lively journey
into the world of all thingsdesign.

Tiffany Woolley (00:59):
So for today's iDesign Lab tidbit, it's kind of
more not necessarily a designtidbit that we're answering or
diving into, but more divinginto how design is a huge role
in our life, in many aspects ofour existence.
And it just reiterated why wecall the podcast iDesign.

Scott Woolley (01:28):
The iDesignLab.
The iDesign Lab why we actuallystarted this podcast Right.

Tiffany Woolley (01:30):
So initially, obviously I'm an interior
designer, so iDesign Lab camefrom.
You know the philosophy that.
You know a design studio iskind of a laboratory for an
interior designer.
It's where we have all of ouritems, all of our samples, all
of the things that it takes topull together and curate a

(01:52):
perfect project.
So it's our laboratory.
And you know, initially westarted this podcast with it
just being design focused anddesign centered.
And, being a podcast lover thatI am and loving everybody's
story and how they curate theirown life and lifestyle, we found

(02:13):
, between Scott'sentrepreneurial background and
the many businesses that he hasbeen involved in through the
years, that we could really takethis podcast and grow it to
many facets of our design lifebesides home interiors.

Scott Woolley (02:30):
Well, when you think about it, we're actually
every morning, when we'regetting up and getting dressed,
we're designing how we'relooking.

Tiffany Woolley (02:37):
Designing how we dress.
So you're starting your day offDesigning our breakfast.
You know, what do we have inthe refrigerator?
What do we have in the pantry?

Scott Woolley (02:43):
Well, how we're putting our food on the plate,
all of it.
It's almost to a degree.
Most people are designingbecause they like to have this
here, the vegetables over here,so it's designing.

Tiffany Woolley (02:54):
Every facet of our existence is a design detail
and a design element and has acurated evolution.

Scott Woolley (03:03):
Just your schedule, how you're going to
take your day and what you'redoing, our diet, how your
calendar.

Tiffany Woolley (03:09):
Our philosophy, our attitude, everything is a
conscious decision and whereverthere's a conscious decision,
you're designing.
And so, as I just mentioned,I'm a podcast.
I say junkie, I love it.
And as we began a new year, Isaid I'm going to do Catechism

(03:30):
in a Year podcast which is justa 15-minute tidbit every day.
Everybody who does know me orgets to know me knows that my
faith is extremely important tome and I thought I'm spending so
much time listening andcurating and creating podcasts.
Let me do one that ismeaningful.
I design my schedule, let medesign my morning to include

(03:54):
this podcast.

Scott Woolley (03:55):
Well, most people think about design like
interior design or designing acar, how the car is designed.

Tiffany Woolley (04:05):
Yeah, what package.

Scott Woolley (04:05):
How something is made and the packaging and so
forth, or the design of a logo.
You know graphic design, oh mygoodness.
But what people don't thinkabout is all the other aspects
of life and everything aroundthem.
You know design, who is putinto it?
How a podcast, little studiolooks Came together.
Was a design.

Tiffany Woolley (04:24):
So, as I started this podcast journey for
this catechism in a year, shoutout to Father Mike I.
I heard them bring up the andI'm not going to explain it the
way it was explained to me.
I'm only going to be able toregurgitate it in the way I
internalized it.
But wherever there is something, a thing, an idea, there was a

(04:54):
designer.
So literally everything in ourlife.
So there is a planet and thedesigner of the planet is our
heavenly father.
Like literally every, it'salmost like an action and a
reaction.
So when you really think ofwhere design can take you, when
you think of that awe-expiringaspect of how vast this planet,

(05:20):
this galaxy, this world we livein and everything has a designer
, I was like aha, moment 2025,wow, we are on the right track.

Scott Woolley (05:36):
So you know what's going on in the news
right now with our new PresidentTrump Hooray, president Trump.
But everything he's doing isredesigning how this country is
going to run, operate and howit's going to operate.
So the guests that we're youknow, that we have scheduled
over the next weeks and monthscome from all different walks of
life and most people, really, when you think about what they

(05:59):
do or what they did, you don'tthink of them as a designer.

Tiffany Woolley (06:03):
No.

Scott Woolley (06:04):
But when you look at what they've done and what
they're doing, they've designedpretty much everything and what
they've done in their life.
And I would have to say themore— and there's great stories
in every one of those.

Tiffany Woolley (06:16):
All of these stories are special and there's
so many tidbits to take from allof them and they all are worth
listening to because there's somuch value in how people arrive
at destinations throughout theirlife.
You know the little places thatwe all journey through.
It all has a design element.

Scott Woolley (06:38):
Right.
So the conversation aboutdesign is not just educational.
The journey that people havetaken it's.

Tiffany Woolley (06:46):
It's by design.

Scott Woolley (06:47):
Correct.
