Speaker 0 (00:06):
Welcome to Legal Marketing 101.
I'm Toby Rosen.
Since you've already seen thetitle, I'll keep this short.
We're going on hiatus.
By the time you listen to thisepisode, all of our existing
episodes will already be behindthe paywall, and by the end of
the year we're going to bemoving to a private membership,
private hosting system.
If you'd still like to listento the episodes on your

(00:27):
preferred podcast provider, youdo still have some time to
subscribe and listen to all theepisodes.
And I will say this I'm notstopping with creating content,
I'm not stopping with sharingmarketing tactics None of that.
This is just a pause, and it'salso sort of an admission on my
part that the podcast format hasjust completely jumped the

(00:47):
shark.
Even just for listeningpleasure, I really struggle to
find podcasts that aren't justlow production value versions of
talk radio from the 90s, andwhile I don't worry too much
about Legal Marketing 101becoming that I mean we don't do
interviews, we don't do gags,we don't do clips the reality is
I just can't imagine that thisis the best way to consume this

(01:07):
information today If you'rebeing bombarded by 10 different
podcasters, their rotation ofdifferent advertisers and all
the different guests doing thecircuit and every clip that you
see on YouTube is of a podcast.
Well, look, I just don't wantto be part of that stew right
now.
I don't think I can cut throughthe noise and I don't think you
should have to work that hardto get my information On Legal

(01:28):
Marketing 101,.
We have talked about finding anedge, and I don't feel that this
podcast is an edge for meanymore.
Yeah, you guys still like it,and I still get really nice
feedback from many of you, but Ijust don't feel like this is
the best way to continue toshare my ideas and have them
really land when you consumethem, and I really want to make
sure you're getting what mypoint is.

(01:49):
I want to make sure I'm gettingmy point across, because I
genuinely want to make yourmarketing better.
I can do it on my own, and Ican do it for lots of different
firms, but there's no reasonthat yours can't be good too,
and so that's essentially thereason for this hiatus.
I don't feel that this formatis the best way for me to share
my thoughts with you, and Idon't think that I'm able to

(02:09):
effectively meet the schedule ofproduction that you need to
have the marketing tools to besuccessful.
So, in the meantime, make sureyou sign up for the newsletter
so you can stay up to date onwhat's next Because, like I said
, I'm not done and you can alsoget a notification from that
about when the podcast episodesare gonna be removed from
streaming, because I'm notexactly sure on the date yet.

(02:29):
We are going to be publishingthese episodes somewhere else
and I will announce that on thenewsletter.
So, again, make sure you signup.
And if you're hurting forcontent right now, you really
need some advice on yourmarketing, check out the Cut PPC
Costs Instantly ebook that's inthe show notes and on the Rosen
Advertising website, and you'realways welcome to reach out
through the website.
We do offer hourly consultingoptions and I would be happy to

(02:51):
work with you and your firm.
Like I said, I am not donecreating content.
I may not even be entirely donewith podcasting, but we need a
break.
I need it so I can be moreeffective for my clients and so
that I can be more creative forthis show, and I think you all
probably need it.
The world's a crazy place.
There's a lot of noise and onemore podcast probably doesn't

(03:11):
make it better.
So for now, that's it for LegalMarketing 101.
Check out RosenAdvertisingcomfor more Thanks.

Stuff You Should Know
Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
