Originaire de Finlande, Christoffer Tuominen est l’un de ces brasseurs pour qui la bière est à la fois un art, une science et un terrain d’expérimentation sans fin. Installé depuis plusieurs années entre le Royaume-Uni et le Canada, il a occupé pratiquement tous les postes possibles dans une brasserie — d’assistant à maître brasseur, en passant par superviseur de production — tout en signant au passage plusieurs bières primées, notamment dans la catégorie des lagers, son grand terrain de jeu.
CrĂ©atif, mĂ©thodique et toujours Ă l’écoute du marchĂ©, Tuominen suit de près l’évolution du monde brassicole : nouvelles variĂ©tĂ©s de houblon, bières Ă faible teneur en alcool, technologies d’efficacitĂ©, ou encore tendances de consommation Ă©mergentes.Â
En parallèle de sa carrière, il dirige une consultation brassicole en Finlande, écrit une chronique trimestrielle pour le principal média spécialisé du pays, et est partenaire d’une microbrasserie qu’il a aidé à lancer dans sa ville natale.
Juge certifiĂ© BJCP, Tuominen fait partie des dĂ©gustateurs internationaux prĂ©sents au Canada Beer Cup 2025.Â
