Pour notre épisode spécial Canada Beer Cup, nous avons le plaisir de recevoir Chelsea Tessier, co-propriétaire et maîtresse brasseuse de Polyrhythm Brewing à Edmonton, Alberta. Nous parlons avec elle de son rôle en tant que juge de bière, de la scène brassicole d’Edmonton et des défis et opportunités qui animent l’industrie.
Diplômée en sciences (BSc Honours) de l’Université de Waterloo, Chelsea a d’abord travaillé pendant dix ans en microbiologie et écotoxicologie avant de plonger dans l’univers brassicole. Depuis 2018, elle est juge certifiée BJCP et a présidé pendant trois ans l’Edmonton Homebrewers Guild, avant de lancer Polyrhythm Brewing en 2023. En seulement cinq mois, sa brasserie a reçu une sélection des juges aux Alberta Beverage Awards.
Chelsea a également jugé les Alberta Beer Awards à cinq reprises, ainsi que les BC Beer Awards, les Prairie Beer Awards et de nombreux concours de bière maison, partageant son expertise et sa passion pour l’art brassicole. [entrevue en Anglais]
