Why do we keep reopening doors that already showed us what’s behind them?

That person who repeatedly disappoints us.
The belief that keeps us small.
The habit of over-functioning when our body is quietly begging for rest.

In this tender solo episode, we explore what you may still be carrying that was never meant to come with you. Through a guided mindful moment, you’ll be gently invited back into your body—to soften where you’ve been gripping and create space for a much-needed reset.

We’re also moving through the Flower Full Moon in Scorpio, a potent invitation to go deep.

Scorpio doesn’t let us skim the surface—it pulls us inward to face emotional truths we often avoid. If you’ve been feeling heavy, untethered, or unusually sensitive, you’re not broken.

You’re transforming. And transformation rarely feels graceful in real time.

Just like spring cleaning asks us to release what no longer fits, our emotional landscape asks the same. Nostalgia and fear can keep us clinging—but real freedom invites us to trust what we can’t yet see.

To let go before the next chapter fully reveals itself.

This isn’t abandonment. This is alignment.

Take a loving inventory:

What are you still loyal to that keeps you small?

What beliefs or roles have outlived their purpose?

You don’t have to know exactly who you’ll be on the other side.
Just trust: your becoming needs room to breathe.
You are allowed to outgrow what once felt like home.
You are allowed to choose lightness.

And you are still whole—especially when you walk away.

Why do we keep reopening doors that already showed us
what's behind them?
Sometimes it's a person,sometimes it's a belief,
sometimes it's the way we keepover-committing, over-explaining
, over-functioning, when ourbody is begging us just to rest.
Hey, love, welcome back to theLift One Self podcast.

(00:24):
I'm your host, nat Nat, if thisis your first time here,
welcome home.
I have an ask Please like, share, subscribe and leave a
review to support the podcast.
These small acts help boost itto find those that need to hear
these messages.
It also gives me value andfeeling seen and knowing that

(00:47):
these messages are hitting andlanding where they need to.
Now, today, let's talk aboutsomething so many of us are
quietly wrestling with.
Why do we keep reopening doorsthat already showed us what's
behind them?
You ever catch yourself doingthat, dragging around the weight
of old stories or old survivalstrategies.

(01:08):
Even when you know better, youwhisper.
This time it'll be different.
Maybe I'm just being toosensitive.
I can handle it, but let's gethonest.
How much longer do you want tocarry what was never meant to
come with you?
Because right now, right here,we are being invited into a new

(01:30):
season, a lighter one, not justbecause summer is coming, yet
because your spirit is tired ofbeing packed like a carry-on
that can't breathe.
This is your invitation toloosen your grip, to stop
auditioning for rooms you don'tbelong in, to stop knocking on

(01:50):
doors that are already closed.
There is nothing left for youin those patterns.
You're not being nourished, you're being depleted.
You've outgrown those spaces.
If this stirred something inyou already, stay with me.
Let's pause and drop into thebody.
Now that we've ruffled somestuff, please join me in a

(02:14):
mindful moment.
Get comfortable in your seatingand, if it's safe to do so,
gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and, whenexhaling, soften your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and, whenexhaling, soften your jaw.
Let your shoulders drop.
Feel where you've been holdingsomeone else's expectations or

(02:41):
your own outdated identity oryour own outdated identity.
Feel where you may be denying, feeling your sensitivity and
vulnerability, and just let itfall.
Not everything that falls isfailure.
Sometimes it's freedom.

(03:02):
Take a gentle breath in and letit all go.
Let this breath be a soft reset.
You don't have to have theanswers yet.
Just let your body rememberthat it's safe to feel, safe to

(03:25):
soften and safe to begin again.
Take one last breath in andexhale anything that no longer
belongs.
Continue staying with yourbreath.
If you've been feelingespecially tender, overwhelmed

(03:47):
or just a bit unraveled, there'sa reason.
We're under the energy of theflower full moon in Scorpio, an
invitation to go deep, to lookat what's been buried.
Sit with what still hurts.
You see, scorpio doesn't let usskim the surface, it pulls us
inward into the depths of ouremotional truth.

(04:09):
So if things have felt heavy, confusing or disorientating
lately, you're not broken.
You're growing, and growth itrarely feels graceful in real
time.
This full moon energy asks usto shed, to release what we've
outgrown, to stop pretendingthat old containers can still

(04:33):
hold our becoming.
So let yourself feel it.
Let yourself be softened, notshattered, by the intensity.
You're not behind, you're inthe deep part of the
transformation.
You know how spring cleaningasks us to release what we no
longer use, not because it wasnever meaningful, but because it

(04:56):
no longer fits who we arebecoming.
The same applies to ouremotional landscape.
We tend to hold on out ofnostalgia, out of fear, out of
that old ache that says what ifI never feel that again?
What if nothing better comes?
But real freedom, real faith, asks something different.

(05:18):
It asks us to trust what wecannot yet see to believe in
renewal before it arrives torelease, before we have proof of
what's next.
This is not abandonment, thisis alignment.
Spring isn't just a season, it'san invitation.
Let go of what you've outgrown, not with resentment but with

(05:42):
reverence.
Make space.
Your next chapter needs room toland and maybe, just maybe this
is the question you've beenavoiding.
Are you still holding somethingthat once served you but now
keeps you small?
Is there a belief or role sowoven into your identity that

(06:06):
you've forgotten who you arewithout it?
It's time to take a lovinginventory to ask is this still
true for me?
Is this still nourishing me, orjust familiar?
Sometimes, what we call betrayalis really life realigning us,
an invitation to stop provingyourself to people who were

(06:29):
never meant to understand yourbecoming.
You don't have to know exactlywho you'll be without it.
Just trust that who you'rebecoming needs more room to
breathe.
Spirit doesn't deal in scraps.
You were never meant to settlefor crumbs.
There's more waiting for you,but you've got to be willing to

(06:53):
clear the shelf.
So here's your soul note forthe week.
Let this be the season whereyou finally stop carrying what
your body has been begging youto release.
You are allowed to outgrow whatonce felt like home.
You are allowed to chooselightness, you are allowed to

(07:14):
feel free and you are stillwhole with a W, especially when
you walk away.
If this stirred something awakein, you, send it to someone
standing at that same threshold, one hand on the pass, one
reaching towards what's next.
Let's walk forward with openhearts.

(07:35):
Until next time, be kind toyourself, be honest with
yourself and keep returning toyour own knowing.
