In this episode, Mike discusses body fat set point theory and whether it's real or not. The concept is that our bodies have a set point or preferred weight to maintain and will fight to keep it there. When you try to lose body fat, certain mechanisms will kick in that make it difficult to keep the weight off. So is it worth even trying? Well, body fat set point is a theory. What do we know to be true and how can we use that information to lose weight sustainably and permanently? That's what this episode will answer.
