Correia Soroka es acusado de matar a tres jóvenes y de intentar asesinar a una cuarta víctima que se salvó de morir y fue la que lo denunció ante las autoridades.
Debido a la orientación sexual de las víctimas, se les consideró como posibles crímenes de odio. Su "modus operandi" consistía en tomar desprevenidas a sus víctimas a las que sofocaba con una almohada o una colcha.
