, where the only limit is thesky and your potential is as
boundless as your spirit.
So buckle up as we dive intowhy neglecting personal growth

is so last season and how youcan flip the script on how to
become the hero of your ownstory, because who else would
you put that in charge of,seriously?
So let's unpack the neglectconundrum.
I love that word.
So why do we push our personalgrowth to the back burner?
Well, let's picture this Lifeis a bustling carnival and

sometimes we get caught up withthe dazzling lights and the
yummy food and themerry-go-round of
responsibilities that we forgetto check in on our own carousel
that is still constantlyspinning.
Neglecting your personal growthoften starts for a variety of
reasons.
So number one the illusion ofbusyness.

So if you're anything like meor grew up in North America, we
wear busyness like a badge ofhonor, neglecting the fact that
personal growth is the secretsauce that makes every other
aspect of our lives shine.
The truth is is that, if we lookclosely, we spend a lot of time
doing things that we think weshould be doing and living up to

the expectations that we thinkare important.
But if we look at our own valuesystem, it's not always a match
.
This is where the exhaustioncomes in.
So if we're living and workingout of our alignment with our
own value system, we're spendingour time and our energy on
things that don't actuallypropel us forward.

Another trap is the comfortzone.
That cozy cocoon of comfortfeels, so, you know, comfortable
.
So stepping into the unknownterritory of personal growth can
be a bit daunting.
But, trust me, this is wherethe magic happens, and we also
may have some preconceivednotions around what personal

development looks like.
So things like TV, movies andgood old society can lead us to
believe that we have to wait toget sick before we can work on
getting better, and thatlimiting belief is often at the
heart of why we wait.
Then you got your superwoman oryour superman syndrome, because
we're superheroes in ourprofessional lives, in our

(06:04):
family lives, but when it comesto personal development, we
often forget to don our capes.
So it's time to realize thatbeing the hero in your story is
the greatest adventure of all.
I spent several, many yearsputting together development
plans for myself, for others,and I was really quite
successful.

(06:24):
If I do say so myself, the onlytrick to that is is that the
aim and the goal of thosedevelopment plans was to take my
skills and talents and makesomeone else's dreams come true.
Nowhere in those developmentplans were my dreams or my
aspirations outside of work.
So what does personal growthlook like anyway?

(06:45):
Well, personal growth is not aone size fits all scenario.
It's a bespoke journey tailoredto your dreams and aspirations.
It's embracing change.
Growth starts with, first andforemost, being open to change,
whether it's learning a newskill or adopting a healthier
lifestyle or finally tacklingthat passion project.

Listen, change is hard.
It's also constant, but mindfulchange takes courage.
But here's the thing youalready have that courage.
I promise you do.
It may take some digging to getto it, but when you look at how
far you've come, to get whereyou are now, you'll see how
capable of change you alreadyare.

Mindful self-reflection.
So taking a pause to reflect onyour journey, celebrating the
wins and learning from thesetbacks.
Personal growth is a dance withyour self-awareness.
Sure, why change?
You don't have to.
You're doing fine, right.
Let me ask you, is fine goodenough for you?

Like forever?
Yeah, we can do better.
So let's think about how yougot here.
What you've always done hasserved you up to this point, but
if you want to be somewheredifferent, you'll have to try
something new.
Doesn't that sound exciting?
And what if it all turned outgreat?
What if small changes that areat the center, focused on you,

resulted in a level up in yourlife where you're the main
character?
While that may sounduncomfortable at first and a
little far away from where youare now, sit with the thought
for a minute until it feelsright, until it fits.
You're worthy, my friend, ofgetting where you want to go and
being who you want to be.
Come on, it's about settingbold goals.

Growth is about dreaming big andsetting goals that can scare
you a little.
I know Sounds weird, right?
It's in those audacious dreamsthat you're going to find the
roadmap to your extraordinaryself.
There's no dream police thatare going to come and tell you
that you can't.
There's usually some thing inour silly monkey brains where it

kicks in and starts to hold usback.
But, as it turns out, the bigdreams come true when we stop
listening to that voice andstart listening to the wisdom
that's already inside of us thatinspired the big dream in the
first place.
What you want belongs to you.
Your commitment to your dreamsis only limited by you.

I'm here to remind you that youare the main character.
Why prioritizing personal growthcan be a game changer is what
we'll talk about next.
Imagine your life is ablockbuster movie and you're the
lead role, and when youprioritize personal growth, you

get the director's chair as welland create a narrative that's
gripping and inspiring and justfor you, and here's why that
matters.
Number one it elevates yourself image.
Investing in your personalgrowth is like upgrading the
resolution on your self image.
Suddenly, you can see yourselfin 4K, realizing the incredible

potential that you have, whichleads to unleashing your
potential.
Neglecting your personal growthis like keeping a superhero in
disguise.
Unleash your potential andwatch yourself soar to new
heights and do things that younever thought was possible,
which leads to freedom frompeople pleasing.
As you prioritize your personalgrowth, you eventually break

the chains of people pleasing.
Your authenticity becomes theguiding light, attracting those
who love you for you.
Energy can only go to one placeat a time.
Time spent on yourself is timeyou're not spending serving
others, and that's OK.
And you know what it's morethan OK.

It's time to make some spacefor some self-compassion,
because in the quest forpersonal growth, self-compassion
is the unsung hero, the keyingredient, one might say.
It's about being your ownbiggest cheerleader,
understanding that the pathmight be messy but it's uniquely

So here's how to infuse someself-compassion into your

journey.
Number one celebrate theprogress, not perfection.
Progress is a path, not adestination.
Celebrate every single stepforward, no matter how small,
and little by little you canwatch your confidence bloom.
Number two learn from thesetbacks.

Instead of viewing setbacks asfailures, see them as
opportunities.
You can learn from them, pivotinto different directions.
Each stumble is definitely astepping stone to better things.
And number three give yourselfa daily dose of some self-love,
crying out loud.
Incorporate self-love ritualsinto your routine, whether it's

a morning affirmation or anevening gratitude practice,
these rituals anchor you andgive yourself some compassion.
So to tie this all together,I've got three Mojo mastery
challenges for you.
Number one dream big and actbigger.
I want you to set three boldgoals for the year.

It's still pretty early in theyear and it doesn't matter if
it's November there will beanother year.
So what you got to do fromthere is just break them down
into actionable steps, and youjust have to do one at a time,
and each achievement is acelebration of your growth.
Number two start a Mojo journal.
This can be a document of yourpersonal journey.

Reflect on your wins, jot downyour aspirations.
When a dream pops into yourhead, write it down and let
these pages become a testamentto your ever-evolving
amazingness.
And number three aself-compassion check-in.
Each and every day, just checkin with yourself.
Ask yourself hey self, how canI show myself some compassion

today?
And it might be a simple act ofgiving yourself a pep talk in
the mirror or an act of kindness, but make it a daily ritual and
make it all about you.
So let the Odyssey begin.
