Family,

I had the distinct honor to attend the #FBA Expo 2023, on May 27th at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters. I've never seen so many driven, innovative, passionate, and talented black people under one roof. Countless connections were made. The information presented in the seminars was nothing short of life-changing. And it was an incredible privilege to meet and speak with some of our master teachers and FBA advocates in the flesh: Dr. Kaba Kamane, Rizza Islam, Marcel Dixon, King Cam, Vicki Dillard etc. It is my fondest wish that this event becomes an annual occurrence. As our Master Teach Neely Fuller said, black people only should meet up if there is an agenda. Well what happened on May 27 showed the kind of constructive outcomes that occur when black people do so. We should meet with that being the goal as frequently as possible, especially in observance of events like #juneteenth. On this edition of Poethnic Justice, I showcase some clips I filmed while at the Expo. A thousand thanks King Flex aka @MrTariqNasheed for putting this event together My Body of Literary & Media Work: https://linktr.ee/TheStormyPoet PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/thest... | Cash App: $thestormypoet | Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheStormyPoet
