Have you ever felt hopeless in your struggle with food? I know I did. For years, I believed that if I just had more willpower, I could break free from the cycle of overeating, shame, and defeat. But no matter how hard I tried, I kept falling back into the same patterns.
Step Two of the recovery journey changed everything for me. This step isn’t about surrendering—that comes later. It’s about realizing that we don’t have to fight this battle alone. God is not only able but also willing to restore us. In this episode, we’ll talk about how trusting in His power, rather than our own strength, leads to true freedom.
We’ll explore key scriptures that remind us of God’s love and active presence in our struggles, including Zephaniah 3:17, which tells us that God rejoices over us with singing, and Isaiah 41:10, where He promises to strengthen and uphold us.
If you’ve ever doubted whether God cares about your struggle with food, I want to assure you—He does. You are not forgotten. Your name is engraved on the palms of His hands.
So how do we move from doubt to faith? It’s a process. We can grow by praying daily, immersing ourselves in scripture, and surrounding ourselves with a supportive community. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but each step of faith brings us closer to freedom.
What’s one way you can grow in trusting God this week? Whether it’s committing to prayer, reading scripture, or seeking accountability, take that step today. With God, all things are possible.
