Baby, it's time to Review That Review!
CHELSEY DONN (00:30):
Hello
TREY GERRALD (00:32):
Well, hello and welcome
once again to Review That Review.
We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing,
CHELSEY DONN (00:41):
reviews,
TREY GERRALD (00:44):
that is Chelsey Donn,
CHELSEY DONN (00:46):
and that is Trey Gerrald.
TREY GERRALD (00:48):
and when we
come together, we are 'I.
VOICEOVER (00:51):
The review.
CHELSEY DONN (00:55):
It's your turn this week.
Trey.
Would you like to get something off your chest?
It is your opportunity to.
VOICEOVER (01:02):
Lodge, A, Complaint.
TREY GERRALD (01:03):
Yes, 'I most
certainly am ready to Lodge.
This Complaint 'I, you know, less than halfan hour ago was at my local grocery store.
And can we just take A' moment to discussthe aggression that takes place between
people with those little divider sticks
when it comes to putting your products onto
the conveyor belt when you're checking out.
(01:26):
'I cannot take it.
'I understand.
For some reason, it's just A' universal lawthat every grocery store has to have more
registers than they employ people to work at.
For whatever reason, theycould have eight registers.
They're only gonna have two checkout workers.
Donn don't know why that is.
That's just some law in the universe.
(01:49):
So 'I recognize it's alwaysvery stressful, everyone.
By the time you are checking out at A' Grocerystore, you've already spent enough time searching,
finding the clues, doing deductive reasoning.
You've gotten everything you've had tosubstitute items because they're sold out.
There's A' lot going on and no one wants tospend time necessarily extra time at the grocery
store, especially waiting in very long lines.
(02:10):
But then when it comes to.
Getting very, very close.
And 'I, remember during C O v 'I wheneveryone was wearing masks, there would
be stickers on the ground and it's like,
wait here until it's like your turn.
But we are fully back in the full swing of things.
We got angry people.
It's always older people for somereason, maybe that's my area.
They get so close to you.
(02:30):
They are up against your little booty booty.
You are like trapped in this tiny littleaisle of like magazines and gum and snicker
bars and you are just putting everything on.
And there is this.
Like radiating energy of,hurry up, hurry up, hurry up.
'I.
Wanna put my stuff up there?
Hurry up.
Hurry up.
'I, it is so anxiety producing for me.
'I, get so stressed out and then youfinally complete the transaction.
(02:53):
'I.
Now you have to bag everything really, reallyfast because the person now has moved on and now
the person behind you that's been riding your
ass the whole time wanting to put their stuff
on the conveyor belt is now they're starting
to be checking out, but the checkout person
can't properly slide everything down because
now you're on your own trying to bag the bags
because we can't employ people to help bag.
And so I'm over here rushing and rushing, rushing.
They're like holding everything up.
(03:13):
It's like 'I hate it.
CHELSEY DONN (03:15):
Yeah, 'I, get that.
'I also feel like, you know, like inthe bagging stage when you look at the
checkout person, depending on how they're
interacting with the next person, you
know, like if you were the problem or not.
Because if they go to the next person, like, thank you so much for your patience.
You know, like, well thenmaybe 'I was the problem.
'I should have gone groceryshopping, you know, sooner.
(03:37):
So that 'I didn't run outta so much stuff.
The person behind me that had fiveitems didn't have to wait in line,
but really that's not my fault.
TREY GERRALD (03:45):
well, that's right.
That's right.
'cause we have those express lanes andwe also have the self checkouts 'I.
CHELSEY DONN (03:51):
'I used to not be
A' fan of the self checkout 'I.
Think we even complained about it one time, but now I'm like all about the self checkout.
TREY GERRALD (03:58):
Yeah, 'I.
Think 'I do as well tend to go tothose if like 'I want to be quick?
CHELSEY DONN (04:02):
'I mean it is annoying.
'cause 'I feel like there's never anywhereadequate to like collect your things.
That's the problem with A' self checkout, which is A' whole nother Complaint.
But 'I mean there.
It's not perfect, but at leastthere's an element of control.
TREY GERRALD (04:17):
That's true.
There's this perfect analogy.
Do you remember at like, uh, theme parks or countyfairs, whenever there would be like the log flume.
CHELSEY DONN (04:25):
Yeah.
Yeah.
TREY GERRALD (04:26):
You know, like you would get in
those like little log things and you would go
down the water ramp and then once you like exit,
there's A' little bit of space before people get
in and they just sort of bump into each other.
They're sloshing.
It's like there's, there's like this
congestion.
Yes.
That's what it feels like every time someoneis in front of me and behind me, checking
out A' grocery store, 'I can't stand it.
(04:49):
'I hate it.
It makes the whole process even worse.
CHELSEY DONN (04:52):
Is your grocery store open late?
TREY GERRALD (04:56):
Oh,
CHELSEY DONN (04:57):
recommend A' late night shop, even
though some of the stuff has been picked through.
Sometimes they actually will have like A'delivery at night, which is great, but like
shopping late at night, like the Ralph's
here closes at like 3:00 AM or something.
So I've shopped before at like 1130at night just because 'I was like
busy all day and I'm like, Ugh.
What?
A' pleasure.
TREY GERRALD (05:16):
Maybe it is timing too, 'I.
Really, it just occurs to me that it just, there needs to be someone bagging as well.
'I think that expedites everything.
CHELSEY DONN (05:26):
For sure.
That's where Trader Joe's really has it, right?
With the three bells.
They're like, do you need bags?
Yes.
Ding, ding, ding.
Somebody's over there bagging you.
They really got it right over
TREY GERRALD (05:35):
that's true.
'I agree.
CHELSEY DONN (05:37):
But 'I, hear you.
It's stressful.
'I hate being in 'I.
Hate any of that feeling oflike someone breathing down my
TREY GERRALD (05:43):
Oh.
CHELSEY DONN (05:43):
and 'I can feel your anxiety.
And 'I have my own.
So 'I don't need yours.
TREY GERRALD (05:47):
Oh, it's the worst.
It's the worst.
And I'm still buzzing from it.
Still buzzing.
CHELSEY DONN (05:52):
'I get that?
TREY GERRALD (05:53):
Well, thank you for
letting me get that off my chest.
ChelseyBD, should we sage emotionally, but although it may not be A', saging
'cause 'I don't know what you've got.
But shall we jump into your online review?
CHELSEY DONN (06:04):
Yes.
Let's do it.
VOICEOVER (06:08):
Review.
That, Review,
CHELSEY DONN (06:12):
As you know, we
are your trusty review Queens.
We bring in reviews from the internetthat we feel need to be inspected.
TREY GERRALD (06:18):
We read you A' review, then we
break it down together and rate the impact of
that review on A' scale from zero to five crowns.
It's A', very regal process that we call.
VOICEOVER (06:28):
Assess, That, Kvetch.
TREY GERRALD (06:30):
I'm so excited because today
'I get to hear what you have prepared.
ChelseyBD, what have you got for us?
CHELSEY DONN (06:36):
All right, so 'I have brought
in A' four star Yelp review for Pack Sun.
TREY GERRALD (06:46):
Oh, my childhood,
CHELSEY DONN (06:48):
remember PAC's Sun growing up?
'I Feel like 'I spent an absurd amountof time in Pacific Sun, which is what
it was called when we were growing up.
'I don't know why.
It was like part of that whole.
Going to the mall by yourself.
Culture 'I wanna say that?
It was just like, we gotta go toPacific Sun, we gotta go to Spencer's.
(07:12):
There was just like certain spa likeplaces we knew that we had A' hit up.
So to give us A' little bit of nostalgia.
'I figured I'd bring in A' review for Paxon.
'I Just wanna give you guys A'teeny quick background in case you.
Don't know what Pacific Sun is, butwas founded in 1980 as Pacific Sunwear.
The PAC Sun brand has evolvedwell beyond beachwear.
(07:32):
Today, PAC Sun is A' leading lifestylebrand, offering an exclusive collection
of the most relevant brands and styles to
A' community of inspired youth, built on
youth culture and curated in Los Angeles.
TREY GERRALD (07:47):
Mm.
CHELSEY DONN (07:49):
A' real, like surfer
slash 'I would say, um, like skateboardy
TREY GERRALD (07:55):
'I was gonna say
CHELSEY DONN (07:55):
vibe.
TREY GERRALD (07:56):
It makes me think of those.
What are those shoes that are black and white?
Checkers?
CHELSEY DONN (08:01):
Oh, oh Vans,
TREY GERRALD (08:03):
It makes me think of Vans.
CHELSEY DONN (08:04):
for sure.
TREY GERRALD (08:05):
Do they exist outside of malls?
'I.
CHELSEY DONN (08:08):
Well, this one that I'm reading
about is at the Third Street Promenade, which
'I guess is like, kind of like A' Mall, but it's
more of A' outdoor grove type walk and shop.
So Donn don't know if you'dconsider this to be A' standalone.
It's in A' shopping area.
TREY GERRALD (08:24):
It does make me think of malls.
CHELSEY DONN (08:25):
Yeah, it definitely has mall
vibes, like old school, nineties mall vibes.
So anyway, 'I found thisreview written by Megan S.
Here we go, four stars.
It always pays to window Shop.
Late one night after grabbingA' smoothie at Pinkberry A'.
Couple stores down.
(08:46):
'I Spied, A' Little Sun Beach dress inthe lit window of this packed sun store.
It literally jumped out at me saying,'I am perfect for the wedding.
You have this weekend.
Buy me.
You don't have anything like me at home.
Thank goodness the store was closed.
TREY GERRALD (09:07):
What.
CHELSEY DONN (09:08):
'I really
showed my shopping addiction.
Who was boss?
to two days later, 'I just happened tobe biking around Santa Monica and 'I.
Find myself magically in frontof the Pack Sun store again,
TREY GERRALD (09:23):
What.
CHELSEY DONN (09:24):
staring at that lovely little dress.
Fine.
I'll go in just to see if they have itin my size from the moment 'I entered.
'I knew this wasn't yourtypical Promenade retail shop.
Not only was everyone truly accommodating andsincere, they actually were doing their jobs.
(09:47):
All the merchandise was arranged well, the storewas clean and inviting, and above all, A' steal.
'I would much rather spend my money onbeachy basics here, that at the h and
m or Forever 21 in the same location.
First, the sales girl checked all overthe store and in the back for my size, and
then she and the manager removed the actual
dress off the mannequin for me to try on.
(10:17):
Don't think they do this for youat any store because they don't.
Displays are displays and it's usually A'.
Look, don't touch policy.
They may have been changing out their mannequinsthat night, but still most retail employees won't
check and see if they can take A' form down early.
Trust me, 'I know 'I was one easy transactionwhere 'I felt like 'I was actually valued as A'.
(10:46):
Customer check 39 50 for A' sundress.
That kept me cool and cute in the hot Texas sun.
Double check.
Thanks.
Shopping addiction.
That high is gonna last for A',while I'll definitely head back to
the swimsuits and casual dresses.
Perfect for summer in Southern California.
TREY GERRALD (11:13):
How does Megan spell her name?
CHELSEY DONN (11:14):
No, H M E G, A' N Ss,
TREY GERRALD (11:18):
Megan.
CHELSEY DONN (11:19):
Megan.
TREY GERRALD (11:21):
Oh, Megan really
lives up to the name Megan.
For me,
CHELSEY DONN (11:29):
Why, what's typical Megan, for you?
'I have A' couple friendsnamed Megan, so I'm curious.
TREY GERRALD (11:34):
just this whole unnecessary
backstory about A' shopping addiction.
Like what is the point in that?
why do we need to know?
'I also love that like 'I 'I.
Guess the whole narrative aboutlike 'I have A' shopping, addiction,
whatever, like good job on me.
Like it was closed, I'm leaving.
Oh no.
(11:54):
'I was like being pulled by theuniverse to go back here on the.
Bike, like, you know, where you're bikingto, and then it's also like, it's packed sun.
Like, and you're looking at A', A' sundress.
Like the fact that it was $39,like, was exactly what 'I was
CHELSEY DONN (12:10):
Right.
39 50.
Yeah.
TREY GERRALD (12:12):
so I'm just,
I'm questioning two things.
Like what is, is the shopping addiction,Megan being too hard on themself or like,
because it's not like Meghan's buying
Teslas, this is A' sundress at Sun.
CHELSEY DONN (12:26):
Yeah, 'I mean 'I guess.
I'm just trying to think ofwhat the point of all that was.
The only thing 'I can think of is thatthey're, they're saying like, 'I just
couldn't get this dress outta my mind.
You know, like 'I know that I'man impulse buyer and 'I go to the
promenade and 'I wanna buy everything.
And 'I was sort of saved in thismoment by the store being closed,
which 'I was temporarily grateful for.
(12:46):
But then 'I just couldn't stop thinkingabout this dress so much so that
my bike just took me right to it.
TREY GERRALD (12:51):
'I.
You know, 'I also blame Megan herebecause if you have A' shopping
addiction, don't window shop Diva.
That's like dangling the carrot,
honey.
CHELSEY DONN (13:01):
it's true.
TREY GERRALD (13:02):
then I'm also very curious, 'I
actually want to know Megan's retail history.
CHELSEY DONN (13:07):
Well, Megan tells
us that they worked in retail,
TREY GERRALD (13:11):
'I know
CHELSEY DONN (13:11):
that that's why they were so
impressed about the whole mannequin thing.
'cause they know that they wouldn't, theyweren't allowed to do that or something.
TREY GERRALD (13:18):
They were so taken, like
the first sentence, once they got into
the story, they got past the backstory of
CHELSEY DONN (13:25):
Right,
TREY GERRALD (13:25):
addiction and biking.
They say 'I was surprised atpeople actually doing their job.
CHELSEY DONN (13:32):
Right, which 'I will say,
the only thing that 'I am getting from that
is 'I feel like my, like the recesses of
my memory of going to Pakistan as A' kid.
It was also one of those jobs that,it was like college student summer
job or high school student first job.
And 'I feel like A'.
Lot of those people weren't really working.
They were like stoned, you know?
And.
TREY GERRALD (13:52):
shells, 'I.
CHELSEY DONN (13:53):
Yeah, 'I had A' hookah shell
necklace and laughing and having inside
jokes with their coworkers, and you could
never get anyone to really help you.
TREY GERRALD (14:01):
It's interesting because Pac
Sun also makes me think of Hollister, which
obviously makes me think of like the Gap and
Banana Republic and like all of these Have you
ChelseyBD Donn within the last eight years, have
you shopped at A' Banana Republic or the Gap 'I.
CHELSEY DONN (14:17):
Um, 'I have, but not for me,
like, for like my, like niece and nephews.
TREY GERRALD (14:22):
Because 'I have an experience
that they are aggressive Salespeople like
'I actually have the opposite experience
of Megan, where when 'I go into these re
retail places at malls, 'I anticipate the
store, people wanting to make A' sale.
CHELSEY DONN (14:37):
totally.
'I.
Wonder if that's A' different, like 'I.
Wonder if they work off commission.
TREY GERRALD (14:42):
Yeah.
'I Wonder, but 'I 'I.
Guess 'I Do agree with Megan?
'cause, 'cause 'I wrote it down to sortof question like, should is the bar so
low that we should be impressed that
people are actually doing their job?
But 'I guess, maybe if 'I went to A'Pakistan, 'I do have A' story ingrained in
me that they're probably not gonna be the
most attentive or aggressive salespeople.
CHELSEY DONN (15:02):
and there is also something about
this h and m Forever 21 fast fashion trend
that it's like nobody gives A' crap about you.
'I mean you're lucky.
If you could like find something and get intoA' fitting room and like get out, like customer
service is not top-notch at these kind of places
TREY GERRALD (15:19):
Right.
You're not at A' Bloomingdale's.
It does make me think of Old Navy 'cause'I feel like if 'I went to an Old Navy,
like no one's gonna take anything off A'
mannequin, no one's gonna look in the back.
But 'I 'I do wanna pose the question.
Have you ever asked for thething that's on the mannequin?
CHELSEY DONN (15:35):
'I do feel like I've been in
A' situation because I'm like an unusual
size or whatever you wanna call it, where
A' lot of times, like the extra largess
or the extra extra larges would be the
first ones to sell out for whatever reason.
So if it happened to be on A' mannequin,'I, do think I've had A' salesperson
be like, you know what, let me check.
And then they could always switch it out forlike A' medium, and then give me the extra large
that was on the mannequin or something like that.
TREY GERRALD (15:59):
Yeah, it's, I've never
entertained the idea that it's A'
hard and fast, as Megan puts it.
Look, don't touch policy.
CHELSEY DONN (16:06):
'I.
Do think that it kind of goes alongwith the customer service of it all.
Are you drinking?
A' Martini?
TREY GERRALD (16:12):
'I 'I.
Am A'
CHELSEY DONN (16:12):
Oh my God.
Oh my God.
Hai so fancy.
TREY GERRALD (16:15):
'I needed it after that shopping
CHELSEY DONN (16:16):
Oh yeah, yeah, totally.
'I was just gonna say maybe it's justall under the umbrella of like, wow, look
at how good this customer service is.
Like they really took this extratime from A' place that you would
think they would take no time.
The only thing that 'I have to say aboutthat is 'I get the feeling that these
kind of jobs are sort of transient.
Like they're not gonna be thesame people there all the time.
(16:39):
So 'I wonder, and this review admittedlylike is kind of old, so 'I wonder
if like, It even applies today.
TREY GERRALD (16:47):
'I mean it does stand out to
me as Meghan got an incredible salesperson,
CHELSEY DONN (16:54):
And it's not like
Megan says, and I've been back five
times and every time it's great,
TREY GERRALD (17:00):
Well 'I do wish that they
had mentioned the salesperson's name.
'cause usually you have A' name tag.
So wait, okay, so then here's my question.
Why is it four and not five stars
CHELSEY DONN (17:11):
Good question.
There's nothing in here that's negative at all.
TREY GERRALD (17:15):
at all?
'I mean they were pulled magneticallyby the energy of the universe To go
CHELSEY DONN (17:20):
You're right.
TREY GERRALD (17:21):
It exceeded every expectation
they had, including A' policy that
Meghan firsthand had at A' retail job.
CHELSEY DONN (17:28):
That's A'.
Really good point.
Trey.
'I.
Wonder if it's just that Megan is like A', superharsh critic and there need to be like 'I don't
know, like fireworks and orgasms to get A'.
Five star from her.
TREY GERRALD (17:40):
Yeah.
'I Wonder, that's A'.
Great question.
What would warrant five stars for Meghan 'I?
CHELSEY DONN (17:45):
Yeah, that is, that's, I'm
glad that you brought that up because
usually when you get A' four star,
there's something, you know, 'I mean.
Maybe the fact that it was closed thefirst time, but the way that Megan posts
that, it's like, that was A' good thing,
because it allowed her to sleep on
TREY GERRALD (18:00):
Well, I'm hearing in Meghan's review
the value here, the uniqueness is they just far
exceeded every expectation Meghan had walking in.
CHELSEY DONN (18:11):
Yeah,
TREY GERRALD (18:12):
is like new to me
'cause 'I haven't really entertained.
Go into A' packed sun in
CHELSEY DONN (18:16):
sure.
Me either.
TREY GERRALD (18:18):
Spelling, grammar was good,
CHELSEY DONN (18:19):
Very good.
Solid
TREY GERRALD (18:21):
'I mean 'I.
Think they're being truthful.
'I, 'I, 'I.
Think the whole backstory ofshopping addiction is unnecessary.
CHELSEY DONN (18:27):
'I do think that it's Megan trying
to write A' like funny, interesting review though.
'I do think Megan's like, let'stalk about shopping addiction, shall
we ladies, you know what 'I mean?
Like it's A'.
Little bit 'I think trying toingratiate herself to the reader.
TREY GERRALD (18:45):
agree and 'I
think we sort of hit on earlier.
It's sort of hard to determine how typicalthis will be, maybe because we both are
believing A' bias A' story from our past of
like what it is to be A' worker at Paxon.
CHELSEY DONN (19:00):
Right.
And 'I also like 'I know that Megan said that sheloved this dress and she loved it from the window.
'I do kind of wish that maybe Megan would'vebeen like, the fabric was such great quality
or I've already washed it and it's like stayed
really well after the wash or something.
'cause 'I do feel like A', lot of the facts thatare in here do feel very specific to Megan, right.
TREY GERRALD (19:23):
Yeah.
'I agree.
CHELSEY DONN (19:24):
Other than the fact that
she saw this dress and she loved it, maybe
that makes me feel like, oh, 'I should
check out and see what they have there.
But other than that, I'm likenot running back to Pac Sun.
TREY GERRALD (19:33):
Right.
'I was entertained.
'I mean 'I, 'I, 'I.
Think Meghan is funny.
'I have some critiques about what'snecessary, but I'm, I'm ultimately
really wondering why it's four stars.
CHELSEY DONN (19:44):
Same.
All right.
Do we think we can crown Megan?
TREY GERRALD (19:48):
let's do it.
CHELSEY DONN (19:48):
All right.
Let's do it.
TREY GERRALD (19:49):
Get ready, Megan.
Get down on one knee.
Get ready to be crowned.
ChelseyBD and 'I each have our own set ofzero to five crown cards, and in an effort
to be fair and not influenced by one another,
we will simultaneously reveal our ratings.
VOICEOVER (20:03):
The Queens are Tabulating
school.
CHELSEY DONN (20:11):
Oh wow.
Interesting.
I'm holding up three and A' half crowns.
Trey is holding up four and A' halfcrowns, which is surprising to me.
Trey, you go first.
Why four?
And A' half crowns for such A', Megan.
TREY GERRALD (20:23):
You know, 'I, 'I forgot
to mention this, but 'I also love that
Megan was mentioning going to Pinkberry.
God, 'I love Pinkberry.
CHELSEY DONN (20:30):
Me too.
TREY GERRALD (20:31):
God 'I, love
CHELSEY DONN (20:32):
Ooh.
Now 'I want Pinkberry 'I.
Think I'm gonna have to get myselfsome Pinkberry after we record.
TREY GERRALD (20:37):
God.
'I Wish 'I could order it.
You know, my sort of critiques here forMegan are, are maybe A', little bit minuscule
sort of it's like preference perhaps 'I.
Don't think the whole backstory aboutshopping addiction added up to anything.
It took up A', lot of real estate.
We spent A' lot of time there.
Um, also 'I Wish that Meghan had hadnamed this Outrageously wonderful
out of the box, doing things to.
(21:02):
Pleasure, Megan.
Sales associate like 'I, wanna know who that is.
'I want them to get their due, but ultimatelyhere, like, it, it, it piques my interest.
Maybe 'I would entertainwalking back into A' Pakistan.
If 'I was in A' Mall that had one'cause maybe 'I would find something
that's like perfect for my life.
That's only, you know, $39.
But Donn don't know why it's four stars.
'I feel like ultimately it sounds likeA' five star review and Donn don't know.
(21:25):
Megan is maybe A' little too mey for me.
So 'I took half of A' crown off.
Why did you say three and A' half?
CHELSEY DONN (21:34):
'I said three and A', half 'I.
Think for A'.
Lot of what we talked about mostly that this isA' five star review, not A' four star review.
And we didn't really give A' tonof information about the store.
That is, I'd say like more.
Evergreen or A', little bit more evergreenin terms of like, oh, I'm reading this
review and 'I gotta go over there.
'I did appreciate the humor, the, you know, bringing us into the shopping addiction and
all that 'I think we, we made an effort there.
(22:01):
And so that's where A' lot of the threeand A' half Crowns are coming from.
But 'I think could havebeen A' little bit stronger.
And if you're gonna make it fourstars and not five, give me something
you know, that that wasn't A'.
Hundred percent up to snuff.
TREY GERRALD (22:16):
Yeah.
'I.
'I.
Agree.
CHELSEY DONN (22:17):
'I like this review from Megan 'I.
Think it's, you know, something different.
And, uh, 'I love being nostalgic about Paxon
TREY GERRALD (22:25):
and boy, do 'I want pink berry
CHELSEY DONN (22:27):
and ugh, me too.
So that was fun.
TREY GERRALD (22:30):
on review?
Wait.
How in the world did you land on Pax Sun 'I?
CHELSEY DONN (22:33):
'I was um, looking up stores
that were at the Third Street Promenade.
'cause 'I was going there and 'Iwas gonna be looking for A' gift.
And so 'I was just looking at the list ofstores there and 'I saw Paxon and 'I was like,
oh my God, Paxon, that's A' blast in the past.
TREY GERRALD (22:48):
makes me think of like
JCO jeans and like being very cool.
CHELSEY DONN (22:52):
Makes me think of like Roxy and you
TREY GERRALD (22:55):
Yes.
CHELSEY DONN (22:56):
or all that stuff.
Ah, so fun and nostalgic.
'I did go into Spencer's the other day and 'I feltlike it's not as cool as it was when we were kids.
Maybe it's just because I'm older now and 'Ifelt like so rebellious going into Spencer's when
TREY GERRALD (23:10):
Oh my
CHELSEY DONN (23:10):
kid, like 'I
was like, oh, I'm so bad.
I'm gonna expenses.
TREY GERRALD (23:14):
before the internet,
SP Spencer's was like where you
could go for like sardonic gifts or
CHELSEY DONN (23:19):
Yeah, you get sex toys at
Spencer's, but then you could also get like candy.
So that's why you could always justifygoing in there 'cause you're like, oh,
I'm just going for an airhead or whatever.
TREY GERRALD (23:30):
Do you remember like one of our
very first after shows was A' Spencer's review.
CHELSEY DONN (23:34):
Yes, 'I do
TREY GERRALD (23:36):
Yeah.
Well, great job ChelseyBD.
CHELSEY DONN (23:38):
Thank you.
Thank you.
Have we done it?
Trey?
Have we reached the mostregal portion of our show?
Who are you inducting today?
Trey for?
VOICEOVER (23:48):
My Royal line is,
TREY GERRALD (23:49):
All right, so today 'I
must induct something that 'I also
experienced myself today earlier.
'I really have to induct the complimentarydeodorant that is found at Gems
CHELSEY DONN (24:02):
Okay.
Fair.
TREY GERRALD (24:03):
'I.
Just think it's really classy, 'I.
You know, there are sort of levels andtears of gems and, and fitness centers.
When 'I, think of sort oflike bottom of the barrel.
'I personally do think of Planet Fitness, which'I have been A' member of many times in my life.
And that is not A' place wherethey offer any frills luxuries.
CHELSEY DONN (24:25):
They're like the Spirit Airlines.
TREY GERRALD (24:27):
the Spirit Airlines except for 'I.
Guess they used to have pizzaparties once A' month, and they
would have like Tootsie Rolls, but.
Then 'I, think of like fitness and wellness clubs.
And when you go to A' Spa, it's like they'll'I don't know what it's like in the ladies,
but in the men's dressing rooms they'll have
combs and they'll have razors and shaving cream
and deodorant, and the gym that 'I patronize.
(24:52):
Here
they do have aerosol deodorant sprays, which 'I?
Think Donn don't know.
'I.
Just 'I.
Think it's really classy.
'I.
Think it's like A'.
Very minimal effort.
Expenditure.
Expenditure.
Expenditure.
'I.
Very minimal expenditure that you canshow appreciation for your members,
(25:12):
right?
'I, it is like this little subtlepsychological clue 'I take about the club.
Honestly, if they offer these little cansof deodorant, because 'I 'I, if you're
stinky, stinky, that's, that's A' problem.
That's like A' whole Complaintwaiting to be lodged.
And if you just have free aerosoldeodorant waiting for you in the
changing room, that's perfect.
(25:36):
And it's A' little subtle way toshow that you are doing something A'.
Little notch above A'.
Little extra but like so cheap.
So 'I really wanna induct all of thegyms that offer complimentary deodorant.
Because it makes A' difference and like'I don't remember to pack deodorant.
You can't leave like A' A'tube of deodorant in your car.
(25:58):
It's gonna melt like so.
And Donn don't carry A' Diddy bag with me like 'Idon't have like toiletries with me all the time.
So for that reason, 'I really wannainduct free complimentary gem deodorant,
CHELSEY DONN (26:08):
it's free, 'I, love it.
'I, also think it's in the gym's best interest,
TREY GERRALD (26:13):
right?
CHELSEY DONN (26:14):
like why have it super stinky?
If you could just offer people free deodorant andmake this A' better, better A', better, better
A', better breathing environment for us all.
So 'I, love that.
Try 'I love.
Any freebies, 'I love going to A' Spa andgetting like even the stupid free comb.
(26:35):
Like why 'I don't like 'I have suchthick hair, 'I don't need A', tiny comb.
But at the same time, there's just likesomething about being like, okay, 'I could
like take A' shower here and you know, get
myself fresh and do A' little mouthwash and
be on my way and yeah, not have to worry about
packing like A' whole duffel bag of stuff.
So
TREY GERRALD (26:55):
It.
It's similar to like, 'I was gonna saypeanuts, but we don't do peanuts anymore.
But like pretzels on an airplane.
CHELSEY DONN (27:02):
Right.
TREY GERRALD (27:03):
Like, we know that this little bag
is nothing like 'I paid $300 to be on this flight,
CHELSEY DONN (27:09):
But it's something
TREY GERRALD (27:10):
snack, it's just so me.
It's so meaningful.
CHELSEY DONN (27:13):
'I agree.
TREY GERRALD (27:14):
Yeah.
CHELSEY DONN (27:15):
'I.
Love that.
Good induction.
TREY GERRALD (27:17):
Well, thank you.
That's me spraying aerosol.
CHELSEY DONN (27:23):
love
TREY GERRALD (27:23):
did A' Queen.
That is another round on the r ru and rq.
Oh my gosh.
My bike is taking me to Paxon Ferris Wheel.

'I call my niece, Sherry Berry
TREY GERRALD (28:20):
you know what Sherry's berries is?
CHELSEY DONN (28:22):
'I.
Is that the like really good strawberries?
TREY GERRALD (28:25):
Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN (28:25):
Oh, okay.
TREY GERRALD (28:26):

they're like delicious strawberries.

CHELSEY DONN (28:36):
'I would think Sherry Berry.

Blast from the past blast.
Two of the past,
TREY GERRALD (29:44):
What was the
name of your childhood mall?
CHELSEY DONN (29:47):
um, the Echelon Mall.
What was yours?
TREY GERRALD (29:52):
Um, Columbiana
CHELSEY DONN (29:55):
Columbiana, that's fancy.
But also the Cherry Hill Mall was like A'.
Really big deal.
Everybody would come into town to go to the CherryHill Mall, but the Echelon was like the smaller
one that 'I was allowed to go to as A' kid.
TREY GERRALD (30:08):
Have you ever
been to the Short Hills Mall?
CHELSEY DONN (30:10):
'I have duh.
TREY GERRALD (30:12):
'I.
That seems to be very fancy.
CHELSEY DONN (30:14):
That's A' Fancy mall too.
TREY GERRALD (30:16):
Yeah.
CHELSEY DONN (30:16):
Love them all.
'I.
