CHELSEY DONN (00:30):
Hello,
TREY GERRALD (00:32):
Well, hello, and
welcome to Review That Review.
We are THE podcast that is dedicated to reviewing.
That is your co host, Chelsey Donn,
CHELSEY DONN (00:45):
and that is
your co host Trey Gerald.
TREY GERRALD (00:47):
and together we're
the co hosting team known as...
Voiceover (00:51):
The Review Queens,
TREY GERRALD (00:55):
But before we do
that, Chelsey, I gotta know.
Is there anything that you were just yearning to
Voiceover (01:01):
Lodge a Complaint,
TREY GERRALD (01:02):
about today?
CHELSEY DONN (01:04):
In fact, there is.
I want to go a little bit introspective today.
I'm going to be complaining about myself, sort of, but I'm It's really the person that I
become when there are flies in the house, okay?
I become murderous.
TREY GERRALD (01:21):
oh,
CHELSEY DONN (01:22):
I become someone
that I don't recognize.
I imagine that if I were to play the roleof a murderer, then I would think about the
Chelsey that I am when there are flies around,
because there's just a real threshold for me.
One fly, I can let you kind of do your thingfor a minute, ignore you, You're gonna die in
a couple days, when we have about once a year,
Maybe twice a year, where we get like a fly
infestation in the house for some reason, like
just open the back door, You leave it open
too long, and then all of a sudden they're
there, and I, I have this technique where
I use a towel, Particularly a brown towel,
because apparently they can't see brown.
(02:01):
Little known trick, and I whip it around,
TREY GERRALD (02:07):
hmm, oh,
CHELSEY DONN (02:08):
and I kill them, that is how
I kill the flies, and I like it, I like,
I enjoy killing them, I, I get like, yeah.
I get like a joy out of it and it's, it's scary.
I understand that I've been driven to this pointbecause there's just sort of like innate, my
house is being taken over thing that happens
within me and I must eliminate the problem.
(02:32):
That being said, like, I don't like this quality.
I think I'm a very, I'm a nearly a pacifist.
I'm a pretty docile person, butwho is this person that I become?
TREY GERRALD (02:43):
you are to flies what
the mean jocks are to nerds in the
locker room, you whip them with towels,
CHELSEY DONN (02:51):
That's right.
Except my whipping kills them.
TREY GERRALD (02:54):
I mean that's insane
girl, I didn't know this about you,
CHELSEY DONN (02:57):
Like, I don't know that
there's a humane way to kill a fly,
TREY GERRALD (03:01):
a good point, you know
those like fly papers and fly swatters?
There's electric bug zappers, like all of
CHELSEY DONN (03:10):
Right?
I mean, that seems real.
That shit.
The electric zapper.
That's some real, like, psycho killer shit to me.
Do
TREY GERRALD (03:18):
I mean, there is something
satisfying about the zap to me.
CHELSEY DONN (03:22):
you have one of those?
TREY GERRALD (03:23):
have one in Key West, but I
don't think it's been plugged in in like years.
CHELSEY DONN (03:27):
I mean, that's like
giving the fly the electric chair.
Like, that feels like, somehow that feels morecruel than a quick, like, snap of the wrist that's
taking them out of their misery, like, real fast.
TREY GERRALD (03:38):
You know, but I grew up in
our backyard, we had a fly zapper, so maybe
that's why it just seems normal to me.
CHELSEY DONN (03:45):
Yeah,
TREY GERRALD (03:46):
By
CHELSEY DONN (03:46):
of those, like,
ones that, like, hung, hung down.
TREY GERRALD (03:49):
it was like a purple light.
CHELSEY DONN (03:51):
had that in Florida.
Terrifying!
I mean, I just don't like who I've become, butI, I don't know, maybe if you have any, uh,
advice, 1 850 REVIEW ZERO, I know we have some
vegans, I don't know if a trigger warning for
the vegans listening, I don't know what else I
could do to be more humane about it, but when
the flies come, this monster just emerges for me.
(04:13):
So, anyway.
That's what I wanted to take this complaintas an opportunity to come clean and sort
of treat you, Trey, as like my priest,
and this was my confessional moment, so, I
don't know if I gotta do some Hail Marys,
TREY GERRALD (04:25):
well, here's a
wafer and we got some holy wine.
I hear you.
Flies are annoying.
I mean, shoo fly, don't bother me.
It's a saying.
CHELSEY DONN (04:33):
right?
Exactly, and then that, like, bzzz, when they get close to you, ugh,
TREY GERRALD (04:37):
And when they like land on you,
apparently they shit on you when they land on you.
CHELSEY DONN (04:41):
they shit whenever they land,
uh uh, no, thank you, anyway, bye bye.
I
TREY GERRALD (04:45):
complaint.
CHELSEY DONN (04:46):
thank you, thank you, thank
TREY GERRALD (04:47):
I hear
CHELSEY DONN (04:48):
but I do think it's time
that we jump into some online reviews,
hear a little bit of complaints from
somebody else, so Trey, are you ready?
TREY GERRALD (04:56):
I am so ready.
Voiceover (05:00):
Review That Review,
CHELSEY DONN (05:03):
As you know, we are your trusty
review queens, we bring in reviews from the
internet that we feel need to be inspected,
TREY GERRALD (05:10):
We read you a review.
We break it down and rate the impact of thereview on a scale from zero to five crowns.
It's a very regal process that we call.
Voiceover (05:19):
That Kvetch,
CHELSEY DONN (05:20):
that's right, and Trey,
it is your turn this week, Diva,
what have you brought in for us?
TREY GERRALD (05:26):
Today, I'm going
to be sharing a Amazon review.
For a product that I know very little about.
So, I have an inkling that youmay not know that much either.
CHELSEY DONN (05:37):
Oh, awesome.
TREY GERRALD (05:39):
So, we're gonna be like,
the blind leading the blind here.
But, I don't know, you might surprise me,maybe Isler is someone who partakes and you're
gonna have some experience, but here we go.
Today, we are going to rate and reviewa two star Amazon review for the PS5.
CHELSEY DONN (06:00):
Okay.
The PlayStation
TREY GERRALD (06:02):
Okay, good, so you know what PS5
CHELSEY DONN (06:04):
I do.
I mean, I actually am a big fan of PlayStation.
I had one in college.
It was actually, I think, a PS2.
TREY GERRALD (06:11):
I might have had a
CHELSEY DONN (06:13):
Yeah, and my favorite thing
about it was that I had this karaoke Game,
not to trigger you Trey, but it was, it was, I
think it was called karaoke revolution by the
same people that did dance, dance revolution,
TREY GERRALD (06:27):
really take off the same way, huh?
CHELSEY DONN (06:29):
right?
Listen, in my college dorm, it was likeall the jam, like I feel like I made a
lot of friends in college because I Had a
PlayStation, I had this karaoke game, and it
was like you had to stay on the right notes.
You know, like to get more point.
Yeah.
And it was really, really fun.
And so I do like, I love PlayStation.
So I'm super curious to hear what's,what's wrong with the fifth generation.
TREY GERRALD (06:51):
Well, so, I don't know anything.
So here we go.
I did have a PlayStation growing up, right?
And I had like a Sega Genesis, andof course, Nintendo, Super Nintendo.
But this is the number onemost Googled Amazon product.
Which is why I thought it would be interesting.
This is the PlayStation 5 console, parentheses, PS5, by Sony,
CHELSEY DONN (07:16):
This is the number
one most reviewed product?
TREY GERRALD (07:19):
number one Googled Amazon product.
CHELSEY DONN (07:21):
Or
TREY GERRALD (07:22):
Whatever that
CHELSEY DONN (07:23):
googled?
Still.
That's crazy.
Okay.
TREY GERRALD (07:25):
So this is two stars and it's
written by someone with an interesting username.
So all caps Chewy Oxy iq, so it's spelled C H U Y
CHELSEY DONN (07:40):
I spelled it wrong already.
C H U Y
TREY GERRALD (07:43):
O X I C U.
CHELSEY DONN (07:46):
C U.
Oh my.
TREY GERRALD (07:49):
Oh my,
CHELSEY DONN (07:50):
Oh my god.
Can we just call them Chewy?
TREY GERRALD (07:53):
well, I'll call them Chewy, but this
is, this is a foreshadowing of a lot of all caps.
CHELSEY DONN (07:58):
Oh
TREY GERRALD (07:59):
Phrasings that we're
not going to understand maybe.
So here we go, buckling.
CHELSEY DONN (08:03):
Okay.
All right.
TREY GERRALD (08:05):
So Chewy's subject is
compared to my one terabyte PS4 Pro console,
CHELSEY DONN (08:13):
Okay.
TREY GERRALD (08:14):
purchase, and this
was.
CHELSEY DONN (08:15):
to my one terabyte, what?
TREY GERRALD (08:18):
PS4 Pro
CHELSEY DONN (08:19):
PS4 Pro.
TREY GERRALD (08:20):
console.
And this was written on March22nd of 2023, it is verified.
And just so you know, the style is console.
CHELSEY DONN (08:31):
Okay.
Good to know.
TREY GERRALD (08:32):
Here we go.
CHELSEY DONN (08:34):
Because it's probably
like console with remote console with
TREY GERRALD (08:38):
I don't know, it's like
that doll that was style Jesus, like,
understand that the Jesus doll, the
CHELSEY DONN (08:44):
oh my god, hilarious,
TREY GERRALD (08:46):
understand that the console is style
CHELSEY DONN (08:48):
the console,
TREY GERRALD (08:49):
Here we go.
CHELSEY DONN (08:50):
love it,
TREY GERRALD (08:51):
The PS5 is larger and bulkier.
It doesn't just sit.
Unassumingly, the unit looks quite ungracefulset up in the horizontal position, kind of
like a beached orca with a collapsed lung.
CHELSEY DONN (09:09):
oh my god, Trey, okay,
TREY GERRALD (09:11):
Unlike the discreet
black PS4 Pro, the PS5 screams,
quote, Hey, look at me, I'm over here.
End quote.
Comma, parenthesis.
Different color covers areavailable for a small fee.
It takes a while to get usedto the new controller layout.
(09:34):
Parenthesis, the feel and positionof the PS button is different.
CHELSEY DONN (09:38):
hmm,
TREY GERRALD (09:39):
The PS button is higher and
you have to move your thumb up and over
the controller audio off button rather than
a quick sideward motion with the thumb.
What's up with that?
There are a lot of ads and circus like activitygoing on in the background of the PS5 OS.
(10:02):
The PS4 Pro minds its own business.
The controller L2 R2 triggers arestiffer and have more resistance.
I'm still not sure if that helps.
Perhaps some games use it for variable resistance.
Who knows?
So far, the triggers are slower when youreally want to rag on the controller.
(10:24):
Parentheses compare to aCAPS new PS4 Pro controller.
End parentheses.
Perhaps it will break him.
Graphics, with a 120Hz screen,and a full PS5 game, dot dot dot.
Outstanding!
A noticeable step up from the PS4Pro, that was using the same screen.
(10:45):
The speed of the PS5 doesn't stomp.
On the PS4 Pro, but it's still there,a speed increase, but there is a more
noticeable difference in the better graphics.
The PS5 has less storage.
I don't quite get that one.
I picked up a Kiwi Home snap on coolingfan for the back to ensure cooling.
(11:08):
It seems to work well and has a blue light toshow it's operating, and it has a good airflow.
I never notice any fan noise, parentheses.
Who would with headphones on?
Okay, it's in my nature to critique.
The PS5 beats out the PS4 Pro, hands down, graphically, with marginally better performance.
(11:31):
I was chomping at the bit, so who cares.
The PS5 is something I can live with, but infairness, life was just fine with the PS4 Pro.
I gave the PS5 four stars because I hadto take the time to write this review.
Parentheses, stinker, aren't I?
(11:52):
Rats!
It just started whining about something.
I better go check its diapers.
CHELSEY DONN (11:59):
oh god,
TREY GERRALD (12:00):
Enter, enter, dot, dot.
After a couple of weeks, the operatingsystem on the PS5 is for the birds.
There is no way to organize thehomepage if you want to change it.
The ads and stuff and all the hypeon the screen are getting tiresome.
I drop it to two stars.
I don't like being told how to organize my games.
(12:23):
Wise up, Sony!
The PS5 is gimmicky.
To top it all off, you cannot save game data, parenthesis, backup saved games, to a USB drive.
You have to have a paid subscription.
To back up your data to the Sony servers, Thereis no way to back up data for PS5 games without
paying, How's that for big business greed?
(12:52):
They got you where it hurts, They have turnedthe PS5 into some kind of social media, ad
streaming, do everything platform, dot dot
dot, yuck, But, if you try and forgive the
nonsense, and get the game going, now that.
(13:12):
It's top notch.
CHELSEY DONN (13:18):
Oy vey,
TREY GERRALD (13:19):
This is like
a whole subculture, huh?
CHELSEY DONN (13:22):
whole thing.
Alright, so this is definitely a subculturefor which Trey and I don't belong,
TREY GERRALD (13:27):
Okay, so, alright.
Mm
CHELSEY DONN (13:29):
I get it.
I get it.
TREY GERRALD (13:31):
I get it too.
CHELSEY DONN (13:32):
this, what we're dealing
with here is, it's almost like the iPhone,
right, like when the, when you have the old
iPhone and then the new iPhone comes out and
TREY GERRALD (13:43):
chomping at the
CHELSEY DONN (13:44):
cameras and the
whatever, you're chomping at the bit.
Now, if you did that, And all of a sudden therewas a lot of problems with this new phone that
seemed like it was coming in fancy packages.
I could understand, I would be upset.
TREY GERRALD (13:58):
Me too.
CHELSEY DONN (13:59):
So I think I'm going to
like sort of wrap my head around it
that way to understand the emotion.
Behind Chewy's review, because clearlythis is an emotional experience.
My question, beyond the saving thing, and maybe if that's why, like, why
wouldn't you, like, presumably you
didn't throw away the PS4, or did you?
(14:22):
Like, why wouldn't you then just goback to the PS4, return the product?
It sounds like one of those things where it'slike, we both want to have the new version, but we
also still want to be able to complain about it.
TREY GERRALD (14:36):
and that is a question here.
The PS5 currently is 499.
So that's like a big purchase, you
CHELSEY DONN (14:43):
Investment, yeah.
Mm
TREY GERRALD (14:44):
And my question is, like, can you
still access the same like Why don't you just
stick with the four, I guess is the question.
CHELSEY DONN (14:53):
That is the question.
Like, is it like, are there games you canplay on the 5 that you can't play on the 4?
I don't think so.
I don't know.
I could be wrong.
TREY GERRALD (15:00):
You know what's occurring to me
as well, like I understand, Cause I know from
my nephew, it is like this whole, Is Microsoft
and Sony the same, or are they competitors?
What's Microsoft?
What's their game console?
CHELSEY DONN (15:11):
they're competitors.
Microsoft.
Is it Microsoft Wii?
Is it Wii?
TREY GERRALD (15:16):
box, the game boy, no, not the game.
The wheat?
No, I don't know, whatever these consolesare, like, I know that now they really
have evolved where it's like, you have
headsets and you're like talking with
live people and it's like a whole thing.
CHELSEY DONN (15:31):
that Stitcher or whatever it is.
TREY GERRALD (15:33):
Yes.
And it does occur to me all of the like, minute, like, mechanical, stuff that Chewy is going into.
It feels to me like this is a YouTube review.
It's like this is a culture andlike they're all doing the thing.
But if you're spent, my question is ifyou're spending that much energy, like why
would you not want the paid subscription?
But I recognize the shift there isreally upsetting because you're used
to not having to pay a subscription.
(16:00):
So when they introduce it, you're pissed.
But
CHELSEY DONN (16:04):
I mean, I think it's the
lack of autonomy and with that, that like
makes people, cause I, I would imagine
like some people might be like, Oh, great.
Like I can just upload it to thecloud and not have to have an external
drive or whatever, like awesome.
But I think that there are peoplethat are a little bit more old school.
Maybe they want to have their own driveor maybe they just want to be able to
store that information differently.
(16:27):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think it's hard when you take away thatautonomy, when you, yeah, when you take away
someone's ability to do it another way, like
why, like why wouldn't you just put a USB port on
there, why wouldn't, like why wouldn't you make it
so that someone could do that, unless you really
were just trying to finagle everybody out of money
that you know is gonna want to have these tapes,
TREY GERRALD (16:52):
Especially
when they used to be free.
I mean, my big question here overall islike, and I think I know the answer, but
is it fair to directly be comparing this
to the older version of the product?
Is that fair?
I think, I think it's fair as well, but the amount of times that Chewy
mentions PS4 Pro is like insane.
(17:15):
I mean, it's like, it's just so...
CHELSEY DONN (17:17):
It just makes me feel like take them
back like it's like you're like dating it's like
a girl you're dating or something like that and
you're like I broke up with my girlfriend and then
like I got another girlfriend and she was like
not good and now I really want my old girlfriend
back it's like okay well then just you know
leave the relationship that you're in and and you
Beg for your, your ex-girlfriend's forgiveness.
TREY GERRALD (17:36):
I but I think your analogy of the
iPhone is really astute and like exactly the same
because it is sort of like, okay, they've made
all these, they've made these tweaks and I just
paid a thousand dollars, like there is like cred,
street cred to having the new version, right?
CHELSEY DONN (17:52):
right.
That's what I think it is.
I do think it's like it's the street cred, but are we warning people against buying this?
Are we saying like, if you're sitting prettywith your PSS four, with the one terabyte,
maybe don't rush on getting the fight.
Maybe wait till the six.
Is that the audience that's reading this review?
TREY GERRALD (18:11):
Or the PSS five Pro,
like, I guess is that like the next
CHELSEY DONN (18:16):
maybe that's the next one.
Yeah,
TREY GERRALD (18:17):
level?
CHELSEY DONN (18:17):
right.
Exactly.
TREY GERRALD (18:19):
But then my real question here
is sort of like, I think the major complaint
is like there's these random subtle differences
in the controller, et cetera, et cetera.
Like now the console is, is likesitting up straight or a horizontal.
What something is different about the way it sits.
And then they also are saying like, the operating system has all this
annoying nonsense going on in the last
sentence is
CHELSEY DONN (18:39):
seems a little
TREY GERRALD (18:40):
when you ignore it, The
gaming is top notch, but wouldn't the
gaming be exactly the same as before?
So
CHELSEY DONN (18:46):
I do.
I think it's like a speed bump, right?
it's
TREY GERRALD (18:48):
what it seems like
CHELSEY DONN (18:50):
I get the gaming experience and
the gaming experience is amazing and the picture
is amazing and getting there is great but now I
have to Travel the speed bump of having an ad,
which I can understand how that would be annoying
for a product that you like buy and pay for.
I mean, I know that like gaming has changedtremendously, but definitely like back in the
day when I, we had like Nintendo, Nintendo 64,
like when we were doing that, like, I think that
would be bizarre to like, I just paid all this
money for a product and now I have to see ads.
TREY GERRALD (19:20):
Well, that's
CHELSEY DONN (19:22):
like Sega, like that one
when the thing comes up or whatever, right?
I don't know.
TREY GERRALD (19:25):
So then here's a question.
When you buy a subscription,do you no longer receive ads?
Like when you buy a YouTube premium?
CHELSEY DONN (19:33):
When you buy, well,
that's the thing is like, we're kind
of in a different world now, right?
Where it's like, if you're going to pay thebase price, well, you're going to get ads.
If you're going to pay for YouTubepremium, then you're not going to have ads.
Like you, it's a pay to play
TREY GERRALD (19:48):
Well, that's, but
no, but do you know that for sure?
Is that true?
Like,
CHELSEY DONN (19:52):
Yeah.
TREY GERRALD (19:53):
Chewy seeing these
ads because they just bought the
CHELSEY DONN (19:56):
Oh, no.
I don't know that that's true in this case.
Like, I don't know if Chewy has a way out.
I don't Chewy.
It didn't get into specifics of that.
I don't know.
Like, maybe if I pay for this cloud service, does that mean that I don't have to see ads?
I don't
TREY GERRALD (20:08):
That's my question.
CHELSEY DONN (20:09):
that this is a good thing.
Everybody has to deal with this, which I do agree is annoying.
TREY GERRALD (20:14):
And then if we're talking
about the specifics of this operating system
being gimmicky, Is it like iPhones, where
there's gonna be 900 updates to the operating
system,
CHELSEY DONN (20:22):
Yeah, I don't
TREY GERRALD (20:23):
as well just buy
PlayStation 5 and wait for the update,
CHELSEY DONN (20:28):
to come?
I don't know.
I mean, I would imagine in this dayand age, there probably are, like,
remote updates that one can do.
I mean, you can do that on your television.
So, I would think that they would haveupdates and maybe they will fix it.
I don't know when this product came outversus when Chewy wrote the first review
versus when Chewy wrote the follow up review.
I mean, it does really stand out to me thatthese are Passionate people who use these
products a lot and I think that these changes
that feel so jarring, Chewy, are really just
indicative of the amount of time that was
spent on the four version of this, right?
(21:08):
Like, again, no shade, but we know thatpeople that play video games have a
Reputation of being on there all day, right?
Like just hours and hours and hours and hours.
So if you're spending that amount of timeon this device, surely you're going to get
used to riding the bicycle in a certain way.
(21:29):
And if all of a sudden they put the wheel on theside, you're going to be like, what the hell?
Like
TREY GERRALD (21:34):
Exactly.
CHELSEY DONN (21:35):
got to be a learning curve here.
So that's why I'm wondering.
Is it worth the going from the four to the two?
Is that justified?
TREY GERRALD (21:44):
The 4 to the 2?
What?
CHELSEY DONN (21:46):
Yeah, because
Chewy originally made this a
TREY GERRALD (21:49):
Oh, the stars!
Oh, I thought you were talking about the
CHELSEY DONN (21:52):
Oh, sorry.
TREY GERRALD (21:53):
I was like, what?
CHELSEY DONN (21:54):
yeah.
No, no, like, is it justified for Chewy to demotetwo stars away from this based on the complaints?
TREY GERRALD (22:02):
I mean, I feel like dropping from
4 to 2 after realizing you can't save your games?
I mean, that's pretty, that'sa huge change to the structure.
CHELSEY DONN (22:12):
Yeah,
TREY GERRALD (22:14):
I mean,
CHELSEY DONN (22:14):
organizing of the back
TREY GERRALD (22:16):
the games?
Yeah.
CHELSEY DONN (22:17):
like how your games
are listed That's kind of annoying.
TREY GERRALD (22:20):
I think so too.
CHELSEY DONN (22:22):
I do agree with you though I feel
like a lot of this probably could be changed
with an upgrade like a software upgrade,
TREY GERRALD (22:29):
right, but if Sony has decided
that they're gonna become a subscription
company to be making like monthly money
Like you're not there's no that's done.
Like if you want PlayStation, that's they'vedecided the change, like you're not gonna win.
CHELSEY DONN (22:44):
You're not winning and you're
not giving it up like that's what's interesting
to me is like this is a two star review for a
product that we're still gonna use every damn day,
TREY GERRALD (22:53):
Correct.
CHELSEY DONN (22:54):
is like it's there's is a
rarity to that right like Normally you hate
a product or there's things that bother
you about a product or you you like the old
version better You just would no longer use it.
You would just go back to using the old version.
So it's, it's very interesting to me to have atwo star review to be like, I hate this thing.
I'm still going to use it every day.
(23:15):
And it looks beautiful.
Two stars.
TREY GERRALD (23:18):
Right.
CHELSEY DONN (23:19):
I don't
TREY GERRALD (23:20):
I mean, I, what's there for me is
like, well, okay, I think the commonality stuff,
like I'm imagining, like, I just sort of have
to consider if I was in the demographic to be
purchasing this and, but, but because of that,
I do find Chewy to be pretty knowledgeable,
like exceedingly knowledgeable, actually.
And I sort of hear.
their criticisms as as something that could beprobably common like if you have to move your
thumb in a different way like that actually seems
really stupid and simple but i think it is like a
big deal honestly like if you're just so routine
CHELSEY DONN (23:53):
Chewy is
noticing, then probably other
TREY GERRALD (23:56):
other people are
CHELSEY DONN (23:58):
this too.
TREY GERRALD (23:59):
what do you think about
chewy's random use of humor when they're
like i'm a stinker aren't i and oh
rats they got to change the diaper
CHELSEY DONN (24:07):
what was the, the sentence that
had the beached orca with a collapsed lung or
TREY GERRALD (24:13):
Right up top,
talk about animal cruelty.
It's ungraceful set up in the horizontal position, kind of like a beached orca with a collapsed lung.
What?
CHELSEY DONN (24:23):
Wow.
That's an interesting, um, but that's gonnacome up in a minute, which is like why I
like, I heard that and I was like, what?
But that's a little bit of a teaser.
Anyway.
I mean, I do think that the, the resistancein the, sorry, I know this is going back
to the comment for a second, but I do
think the resistance in the controller is
probably like a benefit because I think
people really wear it on their controllers
and I bet you it will break in, break in.
(24:53):
But in terms of the comedy, I definitelythink that it's there, it's there.
Maybe this like went over my head, but then I waslike, Oh, I think this is the joke that they're
making with a diaper thing, where they saying like
rats, like, did they hear a noise on the console?
And then they were like, better go tend to my console.
Like it's a friggin newborn babyand I got to change its diaper.
That's what they were saying.
(25:14):
Right,
TREY GERRALD (25:14):
I think so.
Cause it says it just started whining,
CHELSEY DONN (25:17):
right.
So it's like, as if the console is likein the background or something like that.
Now I
TREY GERRALD (25:21):
right?
Like the fan kicked on or something.
CHELSEY DONN (25:24):
okay.
Yeah.
And then also, what do we think aboutthat cooling fan review in the middle?
TREY GERRALD (25:29):
Yeah, I was
curious about that kiwi hem.
Like, I guess these things overheat andso you can also buy these cooling fans.
I mean, it's interesting that they like list
the brand name.
CHELSEY DONN (25:38):
They list the brain well, maybe
that's caught maybe like people chair share trade
secrets and that sort of comment I just thought
it was a little bit weird that like we put another
review and they're like it has a blue light
and I Can't hear it while wearing headphones.
I couldn't hear it.
I know I'm at it like I don't know I thinkthat definitely Chewy was trying to show us
their personality at very least I do think they
like, went for humor, yuck, you know, like,
they just feel, how old do we think Chewy is?
TREY GERRALD (26:09):
it's a really good question.
I can't tell if they're like17 or if they're like 47.
It's really hard for me to tell.
CHELSEY DONN (26:18):
it's like, either they're like, in
high school, or they're like, 56 and a lazy boy.
I don't know, it could go
TREY GERRALD (26:25):
I
know.
We don't
CHELSEY DONN (26:27):
We don't know they could be anything
truthfully and also I guess it's indicative of
maybe it doesn't really matter in this world
like you could be any age and you could be a
gamer were we humored by this I mean do we feel
TREY GERRALD (26:39):
I mean the stinker and
the rats and the diaper and all that.
I mean, I don't know, I kind of like Chewy.
Like, I feel like I can
CHELSEY DONN (26:46):
yeah I mean I don't I think it
is interesting that we made the switch from
the four to the two but other than that I
feel like the impact is pretty strong here
TREY GERRALD (26:56):
Yeah.
CHELSEY DONN (26:56):
see Chewie connecting with
his chosen audience for sure all right
should we go into the crowning for Chewie?
TREY GERRALD (27:03):
Yeah, I think I can crown Chewy.
Let's do it.
All right, so Chelsey and I each haveour own set of zero to five crown cards.
In an effort to be fair and not influenced by oneanother, we will simultaneously reveal our rating.
Voiceover (27:15):
The Queens Are Tabulating, Total Score,
CHELSEY DONN (27:24):
Okay, interesting.
I was really between three and a half andfour, but I ended up landing on three and
a half, Trey landed on four and a half.
I don't know, there's something about the like, switcheroo from the four to two that bothers me.
I feel like if it went from a four to three, that would, that would sit better with me, but
I think that there's a humongous difference
in my mind between a four and a two star.
(27:47):
I think that this is more of a three starreview if I'm being completely honest because
we're still using the product, we really
enjoy the visual element of it, there's a
lot of things that we like about it and I
understand that feeling of like, ooh, I miss
my old comfy PS4 Plus or whatever it is, but.
I don't know.
I just think that two is felt a little bitharsh when all the parts were added together.
(28:10):
But I think there's a lotof queenly information here.
So I still think it's worth a three and a half.
Chewy wrote a decent review.
But it's a three and a half crown review for me.
Why did you decide to go almost areview queen and go to four and a half?
TREY GERRALD (28:26):
I mean, I don't know anything about
any of this, and the gripes that Chewy ultimately
has, I feel like don't really have that much of
an impact on me if I'm coming from nothing, and
ultimately, as we were saying, I feel like if
Sony has decided to be a subscription company,
you can't get around that, so if you wanna save
your data, you gotta get the subscription, and
it's an unfortunate transition to live through,
CHELSEY DONN (28:53):
Right.
TREY GERRALD (28:53):
I, I think
spelling grammar is great.
I, I really find Chewy to be a very valuable, knowledgeable writer and narrator for me.
Common Fluky, I mean, for me specifically,it's, some of it is irrelevant, but I'm not
hearing that I shouldn't buy the product.
I'm just hearing that it's differentthan the past product, and...
(29:15):
Even as we've said, like, Chewy is continuing touse the product instead of return it and stick
with the old, so therefore, like, ultimately,
like, it's, it is what it is, you know?
So,
CHELSEY DONN (29:26):
you still gave Chewy a four and a
half, so it must have been an impactful review.
TREY GERRALD (29:31):
cause I sort of feel
like, sure, like, I mean, we're, we're
gonna be gaming and, like, the ads are
gonna be annoying in the background,
CHELSEY DONN (29:37):
You have, you're, you're, at
least you're armed with all this info now.
TREY GERRALD (29:41):
exactly, right?
CHELSEY DONN (29:42):
Okay, that's
TREY GERRALD (29:43):
And I, I trust their point of view,
cause they sound kind of like an expert, so, I
CHELSEY DONN (29:47):
Okay, I love it.
Great review, Trey.
TREY GERRALD (29:50):
mean, interesting, do
you think you're gonna go buy a PS5?
CHELSEY DONN (29:54):
Probably not.
Um, but again, I love it.
I remember loving PlayStationin college and I get it.
It's like, it's not my jam because Ihave so many new hobbies now, including
this podcast and many other things.
So I don't, I can't see myself opening upa large window of time to become a gamer.
(30:15):
I don't know that I could add that tothe plate, but I get it and I like it.
And I think that gaming productsis Especially on Amazon.
Those are like the highest sellers, most popular.
So there is a huge population out there.
Do love games, and I hope some of ourlisteners are a part of that population
and you can give us a call and let us know.
What do you think of Chewy 1 8 5 0 review?
(30:36):
Zero.
If you are someone that's a little bit morein this world, we would love to hear from you.
TREY GERRALD (30:40):
yeah, for sure.
I, there was a moment in the lockdownwhen I thought, maybe I should
CHELSEY DONN (30:45):
Become a gamer.
TREY GERRALD (30:46):
and then I didn't.
Instead, I created this podcast
CHELSEY DONN (30:48):
right.
I'm so glad that you made that decision.
TREY GERRALD (30:51):
too.
Well, in the spirit of gladness for ourunity as a team, Chelsey, we have reached
the most regal portion of today's episode.
Chelsey, who are you going to induct today for?
Voiceover (31:04):
My Royal Highness.
CHELSEY DONN (31:06):
Well, speaking of queens
and things that are, you know, worthy
of queenly, queenly, uh, praise.
There we go.
That was really smooth.
I want to nominate today, one of myfavorite restaurants in Los Angeles.
It's called Queen Violet.
TREY GERRALD (31:22):
Oh,
CHELSEY DONN (31:23):
First of all, the food is amazing.
That's number one, which you know is,is really the most important thing.
But also the delivery, which I'vedone from them multiple times.
They're just very good and very on topof it, especially with the allergies.
I have a shellfish allergy, so I have to bereally careful when I order Asian food and they
have a dish there that literally shrimp Pad Thai.
(31:48):
And I called them on the phone and I was likeis there any way if I go on the app and I put
in like bold letters like no shrimp can you do
chicken instead that you'll do it and they're
like yes of course we'll do it just like put
it in the notes and I always call again because
I'm paranoid because it's an allergy but they're
always the kindest on the phone and they send me
everything exactly the way that I want it And the
last time I ordered from them, I actually ordered
scallion pancakes and the sauce that came with the
scallion pancakes, I guess had shellfish in it.
(32:18):
So they put a receipt around the sauce andthey wrote this sauce has shellfish in it.
And then they gave me a second sauce.
They're like, this sauce is a dipping saucefor their spring rolls or something like that.
But they're like, this one doesn't.
And I just thought, what a queenly amazingmove that you Gave me the product exactly as
I wanted, even though it wasn't on the menu
and it wasn't like even a choice to change it.
(32:44):
But not only did you make the change, you also saved me from eating a
sauce that might've killed me.
And I just think that there aren't that manyrestaurants that will go the extra mile.
And I thought, what Queens?
I want to take this opportunity to nominate.
Queen Violet, even though I'm like, everyone's gonna go now, right?
And I'm not gonna be able to geta reservation, but it's so good.
(33:04):
They have an amazing brunch as well.
They have delicious drinks.
So it's a great experience to go dine in or out.
So much gratitude for you.
Thank you so much, Queen Violet.
You are my Royal Highness.
TREY GERRALD (33:18):
Yeah, I concur,
and I also love that name.
Good job.
Good job, Queen Violet.
Good, good catch on the, the shellfishallergy, because that, that could be
CHELSEY DONN (33:28):
Yeah, we don't need any,
we don't need any queens going down
on Queen Violet's account, you know.
TREY GERRALD (33:33):
Well, that's it, Queen.
We did it.
That is another round on the R U A R QFerris Wheel of Give Me Those Fly Zappers.
CHELSEY DONN (33:43):
Oh my god.
I completely forgot about that for a second.
Thank you for joining us today.

what you heard, please tell an enemy.
CHELSEY DONN (33:54):
Okay, so Trey, as per usual,
we're always just lining up like crazy.
I don't know if you remember in yourreview you mentioned a beach orca that had
a collapsed lung and This, this episode
has been a little weird for the animals.
We love animals.
But anyway, this after show reviewis a two star Google review for.
(34:15):
Exploding Whale Memorial Park
TREY GERRALD (34:19):
What?
CHELSEY DONN (34:20):

TREY GERRALD (34:23):
Okay, that's a weird name.
CHELSEY DONN (34:25):
know.
Well, I'm gonna, we're gonnaget into it in the after show.
I have a whole history lesson for, forour Patreon members, but it's something.
TREY GERRALD (34:34):
All right.
Well, I'm just really curious.
I wonder why this was said.
This is so weird.
Everything about this, everythingabout this after show is so weird.
CHELSEY DONN (34:47):
Oh, me too.
I wonder why that was said.
Well,
TREY GERRALD (34:51):
Make sure you remember, Queens.
CHELSEY DONN (34:53):
the haters!
You're a Queen Violet!
TREY GERRALD (34:56):
Gender non specific, Queen

CHELSEY DONN (35:01):

TREY GERRALD (35:02):

Hold me like the River Jordan,
CHELSEY DONN (35:37):
that in
TREY GERRALD (35:37):
na na na na na na,
yeah, it was like a Michael Jackson.
CHELSEY DONN (35:42):
Alright, well,
more on exploding whales,
TREY GERRALD (35:45):
Friday, what's that?
Oh,
CHELSEY DONN (35:48):
It's an exploding whale!
TREY GERRALD (35:52):
alright, bye.

Bye bye.
