Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello everyone, Welcome to our spiritual
spotlight series.
Today I am joined by SamanthaKuzooch.
She is a visionary creator ofthe Manning Scripting Journal,
which is a disruptive viralbrand known for its
manifestation life designjournal and cult following on
social media.
She does a lot of differentthings, so we're just going to
jump right in, Samantha.
Thank you so much for coming tothe spiritual spotlight series.

(00:23):
I'm so happy you're here.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Thank you so much for having me.
I'm excited to dive in.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I just want to ask you this You're the visionary
creator of the Manning ScriptingJournal, a manifestation life
design journal that has guided acult following on social media.
Can you maybe share theinspiration behind its creation
and how it has disrupted thepersonal development industry?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Oh, yes, I ended up creating this journal.
This business and company wasnever part of my life plan.
It wasn't part of it.
I have a whole decade ofentrepreneurship experience, but
all in the online space.
I was everything from modelactor back in the day it feels

(01:04):
like I'm going to have alifetime now to then became a
social influencer beforeinfluencers were even a thing to
then being a social media coachbecause people wanted to know
how to be an influencer.
I'd done that.
Then, from there, it turnedinto a business coach because
people would then ask me hey,how did you do all those
previous things?
I had a big community revolvingalready around coaching,

(01:27):
teaching people how to buildbusinesses, make money, all
those sorts of things.
Then, when the pandemic hit, Ijust started sharing my morning,
like my personal morningroutines, how to keep me focused
on my goals, how to keep mymind right throughout a time
period where people werepanicking, losing jobs, losing
income, weren't sure what to do,all of those sorts of things.

(01:49):
I was really just sharing mypersonal things that I did from
a place of just helping people.
Then, slowly about surely, people started asking me because
I was sharing journalingtechniques, journaling prompts
and all of that People thoughtlike hey, do you have a PDF
download with all of thesethings?
They're really helping me Inthat moment, after getting that

(02:12):
question quite a few timesbecause, being a business coach,
everyone thinks, oh, you have afreebie, a download, something
right To give them.
So I was like wait a minute, this is something here.
I had spent so much timealready in the online space.
I was like, even what I do withmy morning journaling, right,

(02:32):
it's in a physical notebook.
I didn't want it to be anotherPDF download that gets lost in
the abyss.
I was like no, this issomething really special.
I then also realized noteveryone does this type of stuff
and it kind of shocked mebecause I'd been doing it since
I was about 25, 26, when I hadhit my quote unquote rock bottom

(02:53):
and I wanted to change my life.
I started implementing thesethings for myself and it started
changing things.
That's why it became so secondnature that I just thought
everyone did it.
So from there that's when Ireceived the download to like,
hey, you need to pivot andcreate this journal.
It has to be a physical product.
And from there so it's beenthree years now created it.

(03:15):
I just pressed go on it likesuper like, just went into the
unknown.
I didn't know how to doanything from manufacturing,
shipping, anything, right, Ijust jumped straight in and it
was like the best thing that Iever did.
Because with this journal, notonly is it a daily journal, but
it also has a workbook with itto help you get super clear on

(03:36):
your goals and how we've kind ofdisrupted the kind of industry
is weird journal where it's notyou, it's not like you just get
the journal and you're on yourown.
I've built an entire communityaround it, a course that goes
with it, things that really helpyou get the start it, but also
you have somewhere to go to gethelp and support while you're

(03:57):
processing all the things thatare maybe don't feel so good, or
you have a group of people thatcan celebrate you and cheer you
on when things are going great.
Because what I found for myselfback in my mid-20s is when I was
in the crap of it all, like Ihad no one to turn to.
I didn't have anyone to turn towith my family or friends, like
no one understood it and I feltso alone and I was all like,

(04:21):
okay, if I create this journal,I don't want the person that
goes through this experience tobe alone.
So that's how we kind ofdifferentiate ourselves from
other journals out there.
You know that you can just buyonline or at the store or
whatever.
Like you don't know the founder, you don't know the group,
there's no community aspect.
So that's how I've kind of likechanged the game, going through

(04:42):
this self-development work withjust goal setting,
manifestation, all of that stuffto help the end user on their
journey.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
I love that.
So let me ask you this as weknow, it's captivated a lot of
followers.
So what do you think sets itapart from other manifestation
tools, and how do you believe itresonates so deeply with your
audience?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That's such a great question.
So with this method likethere's so many methods out
there, right, I mean?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
honestly, I am a planner obsessed person and I
cannot tell you how manyjournals I have tried.
I mean, I probably have like 30in my.
So please go ahead and tell me,because I've been checking this
out and I definitely want toget it.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
So you know, you can go on tech talk and within the
first two seconds of searchingmanifestation technique, you
could come across like 50 videostelling you 50 different things
to do.
And what I kind of noticedabout all of those is they kind
of seem like yes, they probablywork or whatever.
But they also seemed verytrendy and kind of tricky and
they like it's not something youcan do for the long term.

(05:53):
What we do with this journal is, when you go through the series
of questions to help you getstarted, like, okay, first you
got to get that clarity right.
It's not, it's all aboutgetting clear on what you want
and not being wishy-washy withit, cause a lot of the methods
out there.
You just kind of write down, okay, what do you want in this
moment, and you kind of justwork on that for a day and then
you kind of forget about it andthen just don't continue it.

(06:15):
But with this journal it'syou're getting super focused on
those goals and desires that youhave, and then we also blended
in with the gratitude practice,a mantra, but then also listing
out three action steps you cantake that day in order to help
you get closer to those goals.
Because when it comes tomanifesting and we've kind of

(06:36):
used the term like manifestationjournal for this journal,
especially when we started threeyears ago, because that was a
trendy, hot topic and it hookspeople in I want to manifest my
dream life.
But actually, once you get inthis community and what's inside
the journal and the classesthat we have, it's all self
development, it's all mindset.
So that's why this processactually works and gets you

(06:59):
results, because it's takingwhat you desire but also helps
you create an action plan thathelps you stay accountable to
actually do the things.
That's going to help you quoteunquote manifest that end goal.
So that's why, like, we aredifferent and that's why it
actually works.
So, a lot of these othermethods you just write down your

(07:21):
goals and dreams, but do youactually go into the next step
of?
Okay, how do you do that?
Because most people have themisconception of oh my gosh, if
I just write this down threetimes and six times and nine
times or 10 times or whatever, that's all I have to do.
And then they wonder whymanifestation doesn't work.
Because that's not how it works.
We actually have to take actionon that thing that we desire.

(07:42):
And that's why the journalworks because it helps you lay
out your plan to get it done.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
I think that's such a perfect thing.
It's almost like a life designjournal.
Yes, let me design your life, but really go out beyond the
vision that you currently have.
Let's give you the steps to getthere.
Like I think that's such abeautiful thing, like it's
amazing and you're right, thereis, oh, all you have to do is
send out the universe and itwill read Right, no, that's not

(08:07):
how manifestation works.
Like you've got to tap into law, vibration, the law of
attraction.
Like you've got to know how itworks.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
And then implement it .

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Exactly.
And then you know, and I likethe idea of I mean, I'm somebody
, I like journaling and I like aphysical product.
You are so right in how yousaid earlier that it shouldn't
be online, it shouldn't besomething that's downloaded, and
I appreciate the fact thatyou've put it out into the
marketplace as a physicalproduct.
I love that.
Yes, I mean because you knowyou think about it.

(08:37):
I'm sorry I'm going off topichere, because I can't tell you
how many even online journalsI've signed up for.
I don't print them out, I don'tdo them.
It's like you just spent moneyon something that you're never
going to look at it againExactly.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
So let me ask you this.
So building a multimilliondollar company is a remarkable
achievement.
How has your personal journeyof transformation contributed to
your approach and empoweringindividuals to script dreams
script their dreams into reality?
My gosh.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
It's.
It's every day.
Every day is helping me grow.
Let me tell you it has not beenan easy journey Because when I
started this company I wasnowhere close to being having a
multimillion dollar company Notat all.
Like you know, hitting multiplesix figures in a year was like,
was like where the mouse wasright and it's like when you

(09:29):
start on this journey and when Istarted this company, I wasn't
sure if it was going to be asuccess or failure.
I just knew that I had to try.
So I didn't know how fast itwould grow, which, as as great
as it did, it did grow fast, right, like we're three years in
now and my personal journeywith that is like every single

(09:51):
day I had to grow.
I had to go through differentlessons and experiences and it
sucked like it's hard.
There are so many days that Iwanted to just throw my computer
out the window and just shut itall down.
So many days.
But I knew that as a founder ofan actual company, it's like I
had to go through thesedifferent lessons and
experiences because as thecompany grew, like I had to know

(10:15):
how to handle it or I had tofix the issues that we had in a
small capacity to then be ableto grow in scale.
So my self-development is likesuper fast.
It was super fast paced overthe last three years, like it
was.
It was a lot of differenttrials to go through.
So I say it's been quick andfast and the one thing that I

(10:36):
learned is I just really had tobe open and flexible and even
though I had a certain goal, youknow, I just and just even
before this company, I alreadykind of had this mentality.
But I really had to know andunderstand hey, you can have
this plan, but it doesn't meanby doing those exact steps it's

(10:56):
going to get you there.
There's going to be differentbumps and dips and all these
different things, right.
So being really flexible withit, I think, was my biggest
lesson over the last few years, and just always keeping my eyes
on the bigger picture.
Like for me it's funny, it'slike talking about this type of
revenue, like it's exciting,it's so great when it comes down
to a numbers perspective.

(11:17):
But honestly, it doesn'tnecessarily excite me as much as
knowing that, holy shit, thereis X amount of journals out
there that accumulates to havinga multimillion dollar company,
because I know the power that'sin these journals and the lives
that are changing because ofthis book.

(11:37):
It's mind blowing.
So whenever I'm in it, wheneverI'm feeling like oh gosh, like
this sucks, this is hard, thisis terrible, like you know, any
of these, like the lower levelfrequency of motion I just keep
it in the mind like no, sam, yougot to keep going because there
are more women out there thatyou have to help.
And if you stop now, imagine allof the lives that you won't be

(11:58):
able to impact.
And the same goes for like now, three years in.
I'm like, holy crap, what if Inever took that action to
starting this journal?
How many lives would eitherhave not changed?
Maybe they've, you know, usedsomething else, but it's just
wild to think about.
Like just by us taking this oneaction can result in such a

(12:19):
positive impact.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Right.
It's a ripple effect of justyou trusting your intuition,
trusting the download that youreceived, putting it out,
trusting that people willresonate with it, and now you
have, you know, millions ofpeople that are inspired by it.
Like that is amazing.
That's an amazing impact on theworld as a whole, especially in
this day and age with what'sgoing on yes.

(12:41):
Beautiful.
So let me ask you this you'veinspired audiences worldwide
through online workshops andspeaking engagements.
Can you tell us about aparticularly transformative
moment or success story fromsomeone who applied your
manifestation techniques?
Oh my gosh, there's so many, Iknow so many there is so many, I

(13:02):
think you know I have.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
There's a huge online community, thousands of women
in our community.
I've spoken at, you know, inrooms of like I mean, this is
now just post COVID, because welaunched during COVID so there
weren't any in-person events formany for quite a while, you
know.
So I've spoken in rooms of 50to 100 women.
But I think the biggest andbest transformations are is I
also host two retreats in Sedonatwice a year, one in the spring

(13:29):
, one in the fall for ourcommunity, and it's very small.
It's like up to eight peoplemax.
Wow, I have to tell you veryintimate, very intimate, yeah, I
have to tell you, oh, I havethe chills just thinking about
this right now.
But those retreats, thatexperience of being one-on-one
with eight women is just unlikeanything else.
Those transformations and Ihave women, I'm not even joking.

(13:51):
I'll have women ranging from20s all the way up to 60, attend
this retreat.
So the age range is super broad, right, and every single woman,
no matter what age, has atransformation to the point
where they're just literallycrying almost every day out of
gratitude for like, oh my gosh,I would not have had this

(14:13):
breakthrough, I would have neverhad this if you didn't start
the journal, have the communityhost a retreat and just that.
Those have been the biggesttransformations.
And I'm talking about deepgenerational healing,
self-healing with just innertrauma, stuff that's stored.
Those transformations, justbecause they are so firsthand,

(14:35):
I'm right there with them in itto experience that.
That has been the most powerful.
And, of course, I have girls inour community raving every
single day about something thatthey manifested or how they
changed their life in this wayand how grateful they are and
all those different things.
There's an abundance of those, which is that's literally what
drives me every single day toget to go to keep going.

(14:57):
I'm so excited about it.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
And also just with your community.
It's healing in and of itselfof other members that are
posting these amazing storiesand it's, you know, it's very
much a if I can do it, you cando it Like let me show you if I,
and I know I would imagineeveryone's like, oh, amazing,
congratulations.
And then they get all excitedand they go back to their
journals and probably it's likecreating this, like momentum of

(15:22):
energy that's just alwayscycling because more and more
people are coming in and moreand more people are sharing
their stories.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
And that's yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
So let me so one thing.
So, beyond your role as a selfdevelopment and mindset coach,
you host the Money, Mindset andManicures podcast.
What topics do you explore onyour podcast and what wisdom or
insights can listeners gain fromtuning in?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Yeah, so the podcast is something that I started now
gosh, maybe three months, alittle over three months ago now
, and what's crazy is I mean, Ihave been on every single
platform since the beginning ofplatform time.
Right, and you know how to doit.
Yeah, Podcasting was the onethat I had the most resistance
to and I finally pulled.

(16:09):
I like I bought all mypodcasting gear two years ago
and I didn't launch it until afew months ago and it was
because I knew of how much of amore intimate space it is.
And it's such a differentexperience, like on this podcast
, and the reason it's calledMoney, mindset and Manicures and
not the marriage scriptingpodcast or a swing podcast or

(16:31):
something like that, is becausewe dive into topics that
literally cover, honestly, not Idon't want to say anything and
everything, but it really is forthe woman that just wants to
elevate their lives.
So that's why we do talk aboutmoney and we talk about a lot of
self development.
The Manicures part is just likeall the other stuff in between,
for women that you know, if youwant a high vibe podcast, that

(16:55):
you're going to get tangibletips and steps to take away from
every episode.
And every episode is adifferent theme, whether it's
money, ownership, business, likeI have women from all walks of
life in my community, so Ireally wanted to make it a place
where, hey, come and get whatyou need, go through the titles
Right, listen to the one thatspeaks to you.
So that's the type of stuffthat's in there and I'm very raw

(17:18):
and authentic on these episodes.
Like I talk about things on thisepisode that you're not going
to hear me talk about onInstagram stories or even on,
sometimes, maybe in my community, but it's really a place where
I'm super vulnerable.
It's also so scary to be thatvulnerable, you know, because
you just don't know how peopleare going to react.
Like I put some episodes outand I, you know I have my

(17:38):
podcast, that I put them outthere and I'm just like I don't
want to hear like any feedback, like I don't even want to know,
like do they like it?
I don't know, don't care.
Like it's out there in theworld.
I knew I was supposed torelease it and we're just going
to put that there.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
I mean, I agree with you in the in a podcast template
.
It is different and it is.
It is a more vulnerable spaceLike I've.
You know, even for myself.
I've touched on so manydifferent topics that I normally
wouldn't you're right, Iwouldn't post on Facebook, I
wouldn't post on Instagram.
It's almost like an unfilteredversion of myself.
It's just like, hey, listen, you want to talk about this,

(18:12):
let's just jam it out Like Ilove that you're so vulnerable
and you know, just really listen, guys, the sky's the gamut and
just pick out a topic you likeand let's vibe with it.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Yeah, exactly, and I'm sure you've experienced this
, but I so far luckily I don'tknow haven't gotten any negative
feedback.
In fact, the more raw andvulnerable that I have been, the
more feedback I've gotten, likein the DMs and stuff from women
saying thank you, thank you forspeaking on this, like I feel

(18:43):
like you're my sister, like wow,I can't believe someone else is
going through this or has thisexperience, or something like
that.
So at the end of the day, Ijust know and I know you
probably feel the same way it'slike whatever is coming through
me to come out, it's meant to befor someone and my mentality is
, if it helps at least oneperson, then I've done my job.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Absolutely.
Yeah, I will say that I amgrateful for the same.
I have not had any negativefeedback about the podcast.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Now, my YouTube shorts, on the other hand oh my
gosh, that's a whole other worldright Like yes, youtube those
warrior, those keyboard warriors, right.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Oh yeah, I love that you post a video of a beautiful
crystal such as this andsomebody tells you to stab
yourself in the eye with a pairof scissors.
Thank you, unreal.
I will make sure to do thatlater today.
I appreciate your input.
Stupid, I'm sorry, but you'reright 100%.

(19:44):
I'm having a moment you cantell, so let me ask you this.
So personal transformationoften involves overcoming
challenges and setbacks.
Can you maybe share a personalstory of a significant obstacle
you faced on your journey andhow did you navigate through it?

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, well, probably more towards the beginning of my
journey, and what really setoff my full transformation is
when I was in my mid-20s.
I was actually arrested forsomething really stupid and
really bad, and what'sinteresting is, in that moment,
I just felt like my entire worldfell apart.

(20:22):
Like you know, getting arrestedlike that's so bad.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
You're a terrible person Like you're a real fraud.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Yeah, shame, all of that right.
And even though I felt that wayfor quite a while, I also used
that as a tool to be like okay, sam, like you are not the girl
that gets arrested, like you arenot this girl.
Like, like, wake the fuck up.
Like, really like, how do youwant your life to look?

(20:47):
What do you actually want to bedoing?
You know what is it?
What type of friends do youwant, like, what type of
lifestyle do you want?
Do you want this to keephappening over and over?
No, so at that point, I usedthat to really tap into personal
development and mindset workduring a time which, like I'm,
like, I'm in my mid-30s now, sothis was over 10 years ago but

(21:09):
at that point in time, instagramwasn't the way that it is today
.
There was no life coaches andself development.
Like you know, the second, weopen up social media.
Now we have a tool to like yes,now too, which is so amazing
for, you know, youngergenerations today, but back then
you had, like, you have to like, buy Tony Robbins CDs or
something like that, right, butit wasn't exactly yeah you're

(21:29):
right.
So I kind of had to start divinginto my own homework and it
started with what?
Actually watching the secret.
It's the first time I watchedthe secret and that was like a
whole moment like wait, I cancreate my reality, like I'm in
charge of this, like what?
Like it was like this mindblowing concept and that's what
got me hooked on.
Okay, well, what is like law ofattraction, which went to

(21:52):
meditation, went to journaling, went to meditating and led me to
this whole new world ofthinking and that's what really
took me on this route, which now, literally from that time,
those are all the tools that Inow have in the manuscripting
journal, 10 years later, whichis just wild, I love that.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
That's amazing.
Before I ask you the lastquestion, if anyone is
interested in purchasing themanuscripting journal or getting
in touch with you, what is thebest place to go to?

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Best places, marriage scriptingcom, or, if you're
interested in just like learningmore about me, I'm very real as
well.
On my Instagram, I show a lotof behind the scenes of life,
business, all of that stuff, which is just my full name,
samantha Kazooch.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
I love that.
So your mission is to empowerwomen to step into their
greatness.
If you had one piece of advicefor the listeners, what would it
be for anyone that is trying tofurther empower their spiritual
journey?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
This is my favorite and my honest, raw answer is get
in tune with yourself by reallytaking the time and space to
get clear on what it is that youwant and desire.

(23:12):
Because what I know to be trueis like when I had this desire
to change my life and when Iknew like I was meant for more,
I was meant for better.
All of that, I first had to getreally clear on what it is that
I wanted.
And once you're super clear onwhat it is that you want and you
start then taking action onthose things whether it is

(23:33):
decluttering your house, whetherit is changing out the friend
group, whether it is moving to anew city or taking a new job or
whatever slowly but surely, byimplementing these different
things, your life's gonna shiftfor you, and then how
spirituality comes in is justlike really believing in
yourself and trusting thisprocess, because in the
beginning it's not fun, it's notglamorous, it's not easy.

(23:56):
In fact, it feels like yourwhole world is falling apart,
and that's all a part of theprocess.
And the one reminder that Igive when you're stepping into
this work is if you feel likethings are going wrong or
falling apart and you just feellike what the hell?
I wanna say to youcongratulations, good job,
because that means the universe, god, whatever it is that you

(24:18):
believe in.
They're just shifting aroundthe things so that then you can
come in.
Right now, wherever you are at,you are unable to bring in
newness because there's no roomfor it.

desire is at the end of thetunnel, that's what's gonna get
you through.
