In the second part of the newly launched segment of Starting Overdrive called Turning Points, which explores life-defining events of irreversible change, creator and host, Reg Seeton, tells the story of the day he woke up from a coma after being hit by a car in 1985. It was the most significant turning point in his life that forced him to start over on a new path from a clean slate.
The year was 1985. Reg was walking home late at night with three friends when he was hit by a car from behind and left clinging to life on the road. His life was forever changed in the blink of an eye.
In the second episode of the new Turning Points segment of Starting Overdrive, Reg Seeton shares his memories of being in a coma, the experience of being in a coma, what it was like, his chances of waking up, the musical techniques family members used to stimulate his brain, two significantly strange but profound events while he was in a coma, the day he opened his eyes, and the surprising first words out of his mouth after waking up.
This is the next episode in our Turning Points series. This is the day Reg woke up from a coma.
