And now your host, KatieDunford.
and welcome to my first episodeof Strength in Numbers,
Unbreakable Mind, UnstoppableStrength.
I just want to say thank you somuch for coming and listening to
(01:30):
all the wonderful, crazy Katieness.
But I decided today was the day.
Today is the day to get out ofthat comfort zone, put that
introvert out there and, whynot?
Why not?
Talk about the amazing thingsabout strength training, about
programming, about the tunnel, about the tunnel community.
(01:52):
Because that's what I reallywant to connect with.
I really want a space for thetunnel community to talk about
programs they're doing, talkabout their goals.
Talk about and why they decidedto do strength training because
most of the time when you talkwith people, a lot, a lot of
them are just like, you knowwhat, I just run, you know, I
(02:13):
run, um, or, I bike and, sometimes that overtraining
kicks in.
Strength training, like theactual training aspects of it, I
think there just needs to bemore conversations about it,
also with especially women, theyuse that term, Oh, I don't want
to get bulky.
Okay, that bulky, own it.
Okay, I'm owning it.
I want to own it.
I am owning the bulkiness.
(02:34):
If somebody's going to saybulkiness, I'm going to be like,
here it is.
Okay, I am all about the muscle.
I want bolder shoulders.
I want biceps for days.
I want bicep city.
So as you can tell, I am reallypassionate about strength
training.
And through this podcast, I hopeI can inspire as many people as
I can.
(02:55):
To strength train, to get intoprogramming with strength
training, learning more aboutstrength training that is just
not, moving weight around orjust doing 10 reps all the time.
There is so much more to it, andthat is something that I have
learned in my journey withworking out on tunnel.
(03:15):
From somebody that neverstrength trained before.
I've never I never did a programbefore.
I could never finish a program.
That is so awful.
But now I have completedmultiple Tonal programs multiple
times.
So I am here as a beginner.
I am here as somebody thatstarted something new.
I am here to inspire people towant to try something new to get
(03:41):
out of their comfort zone.
I am so happy that you're here.
The structure of my podcast isgoing to be pretty much a lot of
me talking.
And hopefully we'll have on someguests within the tunnel
community, have some members ontalk about their strength
journey programs that they'redoing, certain programs that are
(04:02):
their favorite, becausesometimes, you know what,
there's all different types oftraining.
There's hit training, there's.
Like bodybuilding, buildingmuscle endurance training with
strength training on tunnel.
So there's so much, so maybethere's a program that, or a
coach that you never thought oftaking before and you hear this
podcast and you're like, man, Iam going to try that program
(04:24):
now.
In the Ccommunity is each monththey have amazing challenges in
the on Tonal.
So we'll also be talking aboutthose.
We'll be talking about whatcoach is heading them.
Also updating when the coachesdo live Q and A's because I am
all here for the live coach Qand A's.
(04:44):
That is another amazing thingabout tunnel is that the coaches
are always here to help us.
They're always here to encourageus.
So I am making this space torally up the Tunnel community,
rally up the excitement aboutprograms, about the amazing
coaches at Tunnel.
And I'm also here to share myexperiences, see how my training
(05:09):
is going, what programs I'mdoing, why am I doing them, why
I like them so much what I'mhoping to accomplish.
Because you know what?
Goals can change, it's nothingthat is set in stone and just
like your pro, your programming, your how you have it laid out
for your training, sometimesthat changes and I think it's a
(05:29):
great conversation to have thatit's, if one thing is not
working out, that is okay.
We are here to support eachother and here to hopefully
inspire and to help each otherout.
So.
I am so excited about this newpodcast, about this new journey
that I am taking on.
This is definitely somethingthat I have, like I said, I have
(05:51):
wanted to do for a very longtime is talk about things that I
am so passionate about.
So here we are, and I am solooking forward to talking with
you guys more.
Be ready.
