Hit, subscribe or follow nowand let's get started.
Hello, gorgeous one, and happynew year.
Welcome back to the Ageless andAwesome podcast after we've had
just a few weeks off, so Icould have a bit of a break.
(00:47):
But today I have some veryexciting news to share with you.
Before I get into that, I justwanted to let you know that the
Radiant Reset Detox Guide forperimenopausal women that you
would have heard the little adfor at the beginning of this
episode it's only going to beavailable for another couple of
weeks.
I'm actually pulling that offthe interwebs at the end of
(01:12):
January.
This is being recorded inJanuary 2025.
So I am going to be replacingit with something else, but if
you want to take advantage ofthis awesome free guide, then
grab it now.
There's a link in the shownotes.
But let's get back to my veryexciting news Now.
(01:32):
If you follow me on Instagramor if you're on my mailing list,
you would have seen thisannouncement already.
This is a big milestone for meand, I hope, for all of you
listening as well.
So this is exciting.
I am officially rebranding mypractice to the perimenopause
(01:53):
path Now.
For many years, I've been knownas Susie Garden Wellness and
that has been my Instagramhandle and everywhere else that
you would have seen any of mymaterials.
Everything is changing.
It's a huge job, but everythingis changing to the
perimenopause path.
So why the change?
It is a big job, as I said, soI want to take you behind the
(02:16):
scenes and share this story.
When I started out in practice,I was serving everyone men,
women, children, babies, allkinds of people with everything
from serious autoimmuneconditions to skin issues, to
fertility, pregnancy care, guthealth, mental health.
(02:39):
Plus, I was teaching yoga, Iwas teaching meditation, I was
doing workshops in corporates.
So was teaching yoga, I wasteaching meditation, I was doing
workshops in corporates so manyother things.
I was trying to serve everyone.
It was a lot and for probablythe last, I'd say, four odd
(02:59):
years now, I've worked closelywith women navigating
perimenopause and menopause.
It's a really tricky, oftenoverwhelming, phase of life.
If you're listening to this, you're probably going through it
yourself.
I've certainly been through it,and this time of life, when our
hormones are shifting, bodiesare changing and our health, can
(03:24):
feel like a complete mystery.
Through this journey, one thinghas become abundantly clear to
me, and that is that women inperimenopause need a path
forward, not generic advice, notgetting told it's just
menopause, it's just a normalpart of life, there's nothing
(03:45):
you can do, you just have todeal with it.
No, no, no, no and no one sizefits all solutions, and not just
throwing a whole bunch ofsupplements at you, but a
personalized, holistic,evidence-based approach that
truly works for this uniquestage of your life.
The name the Perimenopause Pathstage of your life, the name
(04:10):
the Perimenopause Path reflectsthat mission.
It reflects how I view thatjourney, and it's about creating
a clear, supportive andempowering path for women to
follow as they reclaim theirhealth, their energy and
confidence.
Now, what does this mean for you?
Now you might be wondering whatdoes this mean for you?
Now you might be wondering.
You know what does this mean.
What does this rebrand mean?
First, let me assure you theheart of my work isn't changing.
(04:33):
I'm still deeply committed tohelping you balance your
hormones, reset your metabolism, feel like the best version of
yourself, but this new brandallows me to focus even more on
the resources, tools and supportthat you've told me that you
need, that my clients have toldme that you need.
(04:54):
It's about meeting you whereyou are and giving you the
roadmap to navigate this phaseof life with confidence and ease
.
So what's new For my existingclients?
Don't worry, there's nothing'sreally changing for you in terms
of our existing therapeuticrelationship.
I'm still here If you haveother conditions, if I'm seeing
(05:17):
you for other things, if you'rea male because I do see men in
my practice it's all good, it'sall fine and I'll continue to
see other people, and usually mymale clients are partners of
existing clients and that'sstill absolutely.
I'm more than happy to help inthat way.
(05:37):
But in terms of what's new, I'vereally sat and dug deep into my
why.
Why am I doing this?
What is the purpose?
And I've drawn up a set of corebeliefs that I have and I
believe will drive the way Ithink about how I approach my
practice and all the otheractivities surrounding it,
(05:59):
whether it's blogs, whether it'smy social media, whether it's
this podcast, all of the thingsmoving forward.
So I wanted to share with youtoday these core beliefs so you
can start to get anunderstanding of where I'm
heading with this.
My first core belief is womendeserve better.
Women don't have to accept thedebilitating for many, the
(06:24):
debilitating symptoms ofperimenopause as just part of
life.
I'm so passionate because of myown experience.
I'm so passionate aboutchallenging the societal
narrative that normalizesexhaustion, stress, hot flushes,
other discomforts that are partof the perimenopause journey.
(06:46):
The second core belief that Ihave is there should be no more
band-aid treatments.
Empowering women starts withhelping you understand what's
truly happening in your body.
Understand what's trulyhappening in your body, right.
I really believe education andawareness are the keys to long
lasting health, not quick fixesor generic solutions, which is
(07:10):
why I'm so passionate about thispodcast and I've been a bit
slack with the blogs, but yeah,I love writing the blogs and
helping women understand.
Then you can really startchallenging your healthcare
professionals and seeking outthe right healthcare
professionals so that you're notgetting a band-aid treatment.
You're getting a managementplan that's actually going to
(07:33):
really put you in the bestpossible health for the
long-term and get you feelingjust amazing in your body, your
mind and really trying to let goof the symptoms, trying to get
on top of them.
The next core belief I lovedputting together because it's a
(07:56):
bit of a statement against a lotof the things that I hear on
social media.
So this core belief one sizefits men doesn't fit women.
Traditional approaches and thenot so traditional approaches so
calorie counting, fasting, paleo, all of the things are
often not so great for women, not so great for women,
(08:19):
particularly those navigatingthe hormonal shifts of
perimenopause.
I really advocate for age andgender specific strategies that
actually work for women at thistime of life and I just love
that.
When I came up with this sayingone size fits men doesn't fit
women, I really, truly believethat and that is one of the
(08:44):
things that I really am going tobe kind of attacking I don't
like to use that word, butreally addressing more in my
work.
Fourth core belief you guys knowhow much I love talking about
stress and I just want to say myfourth core belief is stress
isn't to be tolerated, it's adriver of illness.
(09:06):
It's not something you justcope with, that you just push
through.
It is a driver of illness.
High stress levels are asignificant contributor to
women's health issues andsymptoms in perimenopause.
That is well known.
It's well documented inresearch.
I'm really committed toaddressing this root cause.
It doesn't get nearly enoughairplay and I really want to
(09:29):
help women create balance intheir lives by using simple
strategies to manage stress.
My fifth and last core beliefthat is really something I've
been honing in and that's whythe perimenopause path has been
created is that it's time toprioritize women.
Women have been underserved andunder-researched in medical and
(09:53):
the wellness fields, and mymission is to provide the
personalized, effectivesolutions that women deserve,
tailored to your unique needs.
So they're my five core beliefs.
I'll just do a quick recap.
Women deserve better.
No more band-aid treatments.
One size fits men doesn't fitwomen.
(10:14):
Stress isn't to be tolerated.
It's a driver of illness andit's time to prioritize women.
I've also, with all of thisthinking that I've been doing
I'm a bit of an overthinker, ifyou hadn't worked that out
already I decided to create amission statement that also will
help me be focused in this work, and the mission statement I've
(10:38):
come up with is that women theperimenopause path is there to
challenge the outdatednarratives around perimenopause
and menopause and to providewomen with the personalized
solutions that they deserve.
I empower women to break freefrom one-size-fits-all
approaches, understand the rootcauses of symptoms and take back
(11:01):
control of your health.
By combining science, educationand a deep respect for women's
lived experiences, I help womenthrive with energy, confidence
and vitality at every stage oflife.
It's a bit of a mouthful, but Ifeel I've always felt like this
with mission statements.
(11:22):
I think simple is really good, but sometimes there needs to be
just a little bit of explanationthere too.
All right, so what is newimmediately?
For starters, I've created afree resource called the
Hormonal Health Blueprint.
It's designed to help youunderstand what's really going
on in your body and take thefirst steps towards balance.
(11:43):
Now, I did have this availableon my Instagram and I sent it
out to my mailing list late lastweek, so if you haven't
downloaded it yet, I'll includea link in the show notes for you
Also.
Secondly, I've changed myInstagram handle.
Now.
It is a little bit complicated, unfortunately, but you know, I
(12:07):
think it's important.
When I, when I wrote down theperimenopause path as a handle,
I found it easier to put acouple of little full stops in
there so that you could see eachof the three words.
So it's the dot perimenopausedot path.
Yeah, just go there and followit and then you don't have to
(12:28):
think about it again.
I don't know whether I've donethe right thing by choosing to
do that, but hey, let's see.
So that's number two, and beyondthat, I'll be rolling out some
more resources.
I'm super excited about theresources that I'm creating in
the background, and my aim is tobe rolling these out fairly
(12:48):
quickly.
So the hormonal healthblueprint is available now.
There will be some other thingscoming very, very quickly.
So I'm so excited for all ofthis and for what this is going
to be helping you with in termsof my free content.
This is going to be helping youwith in terms of my free
content, and then if you wouldlike to become a client and work
(13:09):
with me with your ownpersonalized solution, then
that's available for you too.
And I've now created the glowprotocol used to be essentially
one program, and I now havethree different tiers of that
program, so that there is a tierfor people that just want
basics.
I then have the original GLOWprotocol program, and I've done
(13:33):
a premium version as well.
So that is another change, butI'll talk about that another
time, all right, so why thismatters.
At the core of this change is asimple but powerful belief Women
in perimenopause deserve better.
So simple.
Too often we're told to justpush through, to accept our
(13:54):
symptoms as normal or to beoffered inappropriate medical
options.
I know for myself.
I was offered antidepressants.
I didn't need that and itwasn't for depression symptoms,
it was for other symptoms.
It was just ridiculous.
But I'm here to tell you thatyour health, your energy, your
wellbeing matter.
(14:15):
You don't just push through.
There's so much we can dowithin the realm of nutrition,
with herbal medicine and many, many other things to help.
You deserve solutions that workfor you, not against you, and
that's exactly what theperimenopause path is all about.
(14:36):
Before I wrap up, I just wantedto take a moment to thank you,

It's about giving you the toolsand support to navigate
perimenopause and menopause withconfidence, clarity and hope.
I'm using the word hope, but Ireally mean embracing it.
Embracing it, so all right.
