Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back, my friends, to the Clinic Marketing
Podcast.
I'm your, host, Darcy Sullivan, with Propel Marketing and
Design.
Today we're diving into a superactionable strategy to help
boost your Google reviewsquickly and easily.
If you're a clinic owner, achiropractor, physical therapist

(00:21):
, acupuncturist or any localbusiness looking to stand out in
search results, stick around.
You don't want to miss thisepisode.
So what's the big news?
Well, if you haven't heard, google now lets you create a QR
code that takes your patients orcustomers straight to your

(00:42):
review page.
No searching, no hassle.
In this episode, I'll walk youthrough how to set this up,
where to use your QR code andwhy this simple tactic can
significantly impact yourbusiness or clinic's bottom line
.
Let's start with the basics.

(01:03):
Google Business Profile hasrolled out a new feature that
allows you to generate a QR codethat links directly to your
review form.
When patients or customers scanthis code, they're taken to the
ad review page for yourbusiness.
No distractions, no hunting forthe right link, super simple.

(01:26):
This feature is a game changerfor getting more reviews faster,
as we know how a steady streamof positive reviews can help
boost your rankings in localsearch engine results, making it
easier for new patients orclients to find you.
But before you start printingthese QR codes and posting them

(01:50):
all around your office or clinic, there's something very
important that you need to knowthat we'll dive into later in
this episode.
So be sure to stick around.
Let's go ahead and dive into howto generate your QR code.
To generate your QR code, it'svery simple.
All you have to do is log intoyour Google business profile

(02:14):
listing on a desktop and clickthe button that says ask for
reviews in your dashboard.
Google will automaticallygenerate a QR code for you.
That's it.
You can download the code andstart using it right away Now
that you have your QR code.
If you decide to go with usingGoogle's QR code, let's talk

(02:38):
about some smart ways to use it.
You can print out this QR codeand put it literally anywhere.
One popular option to do so isto place the QR code at checkout
or reception, but this is wherethings get a little tricky.
See, the fact that Google isproviding you these QR codes

(03:04):
suggests that it might be okayto collect reviews directly
while customers or patients areat your location, but in the
past this has been a bit of agray area If too many reviews
come in from people standingright in your office.
It could look to Google likeyou're incentivizing to collect
these reviews, which goesagainst their policies.

(03:27):
However, with this new feature,it seems like Google is leaning
into their use of QR codes tomake the review process easier.
Official recommendations for howyou should use this include
Include it in your thank youemails.
Add it at the end of a chatinteraction.

(03:50):
Include it on your receipt.
Isn't it interesting thatGoogle does not specifically
suggest that you use it at yourphysical location?
So again, words directly fromGoogle.
When it relates to this QR code, their suggestions for using it

(04:10):
are to include it in your thankyou emails, add it at the end of
a chat interaction and includeit on your receipt.
And include it on your receipt.
I think that's very differentto printing it out and placing
it in your physical location.
And, yes, I get it.
A receipt could be received ata physical location.

(04:32):
But again, I just find itinteresting that Google is not
suggesting that you print it outand physically put it and post
it at your location.
So that is really notablymissing from their suggestions
and I believe that this is adeliberate choice by Google to

(04:53):
avoid any policy conflicts.
So my advice would be, if youwant to put this up directly at
your office, directly atreception, is to use it
cautiously.
If you notice that reviews leftby people while they're in your
physical location are notshowing up, it might be a sign
that Google is filtering thosebecause they're seeing so many

(05:17):
come from your physical location.
In that case, the best betwould be to pull back and focus
on other methods of sharing theQR code.
And if you do try it in yourphysical location and you either
have amazing experiences or badexperiences, please let me know
so we can continue to collectour data on how this affects the

(05:41):
strategy of how and where youshould use your QR code.
Again, some great places to usethe QR codes are on receipts,
invoices, marketing materials, all types of marketing materials
.
Here you can use it on yourbusiness cards, brochures,
basically anywhere where you areusing your marketing materials,

(06:03):
maybe at an event.
You can also use it in an emailsignature.
You can drop in that QR codethere.
Definitely, if you're sendingout email blast, I would include
the QR code or the opportunityfor somebody to leave a review.
Think about it If you'reactively sending out email

(06:24):
blasts to your audience once aweek, once a month.
It's a great opportunity foryou to also ask for them to
leave a review.
The goal here is to make it aseasy as possible for happy
patients, clients and customersto leave a review when they're

(06:44):
really just so satisfied withyour service, which is why this
is such a big deal.
We know that reviews can leadto better rankings on Google,
which means more visibility and, ultimately, more new clients or
patients, and ultimately, morenew clients or patients.
Plus, this method simplifiesthe process for people, removing
that friction of them having tofind the location online to

(07:07):
leave the review.
So just a quick reminder makesure that the way you're
gathering reviews complies withGoogle's policies no
incentivizing reviews ormisleading tactics.
So there you have it a quick, easy way to boost your Google
reviews with the new GoogleBusiness Review QR code feature

(07:33):
that you can find directly whenyou log into your Google
Business Profile listing.
When you log into your GoogleBusiness Profile listing.
This is a strategy you canimplement today with most almost
no effort, but potentially bigrewards.
