On this show we ask the question why do so many of us feel helpless to create change in our own communities?

Why is it so hard to shift the “status quo” in business and government?

Why can’t our laws and social structures just simply be a reflection of what we all truly want and need?

What is stopping us?

It just so happens that a national leader in the community rights movement, Paul Cienfuegos, was in Viroqua this week…so we had him stop by to answer some of these questions…

Paul has been leading workshops across the US since 1995 (at least 3 of them in Viroqua). He is the director of Community Right US. And just released his new book…

“How Dare We? Courageous Practices to Reclaim Our Power as Citizens”

According to Paul, one business vehicle in particular is standing in the way of our pathway to creating a better world….and has essentially been turned against us over time through court rulings and legal precedents.

Corporations.

Corporations in and of themselves aren’t “bad”….it’s just that their definitions and purposes have, in runaway train fashion, gotten out of control to the detriment of all life on this planet….

So Paul takes us through the intricate legal history of how this happened…and let me tell you….it is mind blowing.

Are corporations today more powerful than governments?

What constitutional rights do they have?

Civil rights?

Can you legally discriminate against a corporate entity?

What if I told you that some corporations legally have the right to harm you?

And what can we do about this?

How do we fix this gigantic issue?

How do we recognize our own sovereign authority and take our power back!?

We will answer all these questions and much more on this podcast…
