Did you know your attention is the most valuable possession you own and it's constantly under siege?

Everyone is vying for a slice of that precious resource. As the gatekeeper of this treasure, you have the power to reclaim control and channel it for your benefit, and I'm here to show you how. Buckle up as we explore the significance of attention, its power, and how to master its control.

Picture this - a colossal concert arena known as the sphere, entirely blanketed in flashy LEDs, meticulously designed to seize your attention. It's not just the sphere; in today's world, everything from your health to your wallet, all the way to your knowledge, is under the influence of how well you manage your attention. But don't let that daunt you.

Transforming the way you handle your attention can shift these influences positively.

As we journey together, I'll also introduce you to the 'I Love Myself Meditation,' a potent tool that cultivates a mindful connection with yourself and allows you to reclaim your attention.

Just imagine dedicating a mere two to five minutes each day to focus on yourself and your intentions. It's a little commitment that yields huge returns. By practicing mindful attention and connection, you won't just survive the constant bombardment of attention-grabbing gimmicks but thrive amidst them.

So, stay connected and join me on this empowering journey. After all, isn't it time you took control of your most valuable possessions?

Justin Wenck Ph.D. (00:03):
Hello, welcome to the show.
Today I am talking about themost important thing you have in
your possession.
That's right.
And you might be thinking well,it's my health, right?
Or it's money it's got to behowever much money I have.
Or maybe it's my education?

(00:26):
None of those things, althoughit can be related to all of
those things.
This thing is so important thatcompanies, politicians, just
about anyone, spends most oftheir time, most of their money,
trying to get this from you atany chance they can.
And once you realize that thisis the most valuable thing you

(00:49):
have in your possession and youstart to use it for your benefit
, you're going to see miraculousthings start to change in your
life, and I'll also be sharingwith you a simple, powerful
technique that allows you totake back control of your most
prized possession and use it foryour own benefit instead of the

(01:10):
benefit of others, which I'mguessing.
If maybe there's some things inyour life that aren't going the
way that you would like them tobe going, this could be one of
the very important keys tounlocking, getting your life
back on track, to living yourideal life the way you want it.
And speaking of your ideal life, I've just started doing some

(01:32):
amazing sessions where it'scalled the Ideal Life
Accelerator, where a part of itis closed door, one-on-one hot
seat coaching with about fivepeople.
I only have five slots eachweek where it's a small group,
but for a few minutes, whateverit takes for some struggle, some

(01:59):
challenge, a strangle, astruggle, a challenge or a
struggle, we do a littleone-on-one coaching right there
and just knock something outLike simple, easy, get to see
how quick, how effective it isto work with me.
And, yeah, doing this because Iwant everyone to be able to end

(02:19):
the year feeling strong andamazing and going into 2024.
Because, let's face it, if youwatch the news, if you see
what's going on, there can be alot of things that can get you
into that fear and thatobligation.
I know just at my job recently, they announced more layoffs and
the story was just like you gotto buckle down, you got to work

(02:39):
harder, you got to get thingsdone faster, otherwise your job
might not be here.
We might not be here and thatmight have worked in the past,
but that's not going to workanymore in the future.
We got to find new ways andthose ways are finding what we
want to create what we want tocontribute, what we want to

(03:02):
experience, and if you're notsure what those things are for
you, then you should be talkingto me.
If you're not experiencingfabulousness because I'm not
exactly sure you might behearing some crashing waves and
some ocean it's because it's alittle warm right now, and so I
opened my window and I liveright next to the ocean and

(03:23):
there's a little bit of a stormthat's been coming in, so the
waves are very powerful.
There was even a warning lastnight about look out, for I
think they called them sneakerwaves that could just come up
and be much bigger and sweep youout to see or cause property
damage.
So, yeah, if you're interestedin this, it's called the Ideal

(03:45):
Life Accelerator, justinwinkcomslash Ideal Life X for
acceleration, and so that'salways the until the end of 2023
, it's the first, second, thirdWednesday of the month.
You know well just what's goingon the fourth Masterclass,

(04:06):
doing masterclasses.
The next one coming up will bethe Ideal Life unlock your Ideal
Life and just go tojustinwinkcom slash Ideal Life
and I'll teach you, take youthrough a really amazing
exercise so you'll havesomething so that you can
actually be on your way tohaving an element of your Ideal

(04:26):
Life come into you faster, easier 10X compared to other
ways.
That's awesome.
Done it before.
This one's going to be evenbetter, because I just keep
getting better and I want you tokeep getting better.
So what is the most valuablething you have in your
possession?
Like I said already at thebeginning of the show, it's not

(04:50):
your health, it's not your money, it's not your education, it's
not what you know.
Most powerful, valuable thingthat you have is and I do thank
you for Listening to this show.
I really do appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
And if you could rate the showFive stars wherever you, make

(05:13):
sure you subscribe, follow andshare it with a friend.
And at this point You'reprobably like what the fuck is
it?
What, what is this thing?
Just tell me.
Tell me the goddamn thing, what's in the box?
What's in the box?
If any of you have ever seenthe movie seven, heard of the
movie seven.
That's comes at the end of themovie, where the Kevin Spacey

(05:33):
character this is before KevinSpacey was still.
I don't know if he was beloved, but he was an actor that did
really well and was respected assuch.
He, he's, he shows up and he's.
He's got a box I don't know, Ihaven't seen the movie in like
15 years, but I have Brad Pitt'sin there, I think, morgan

(05:53):
Freeman I think this might havebeen the start of like Morgan
Freeman becoming like thatawesome detective dude that just
like knows, knows shit, seenshit and these like let's get
this figured out and it's likewhat's what's?
What's in this box?
What's in this box and why askthis is a question is because

(06:15):
this is pointing to what is themost valuable thing you have,
and I.
This really got solidified backwhen I was in Las Vegas
recently for a friend's, afriend's, this combo of birthday
and wedding event, and thisjust Vegas is constructed to

(06:36):
take this most valuable thingfrom you at every turn.
And the latest, greatest, mostamazing instrument of Taking
away what is your most treasuredpossession is the sphere.
So if you haven't heard of thesphere, seen the sphere, it's
it's actually a giant concertarena and it looks like a giant

(07:00):
distortion in the space timecontinuum, because what it is is
it's.
It's a little bit more thanhalf a sphere popping out From
the ground, and I can't rememberhow tall it is like.
I don't know.
This could be like 10, 15, 20stories Tall, but it basically
is covered in LEDs that can makeit look like literally anything

(07:22):
, so it can look like a smileyface.
It can look like the ocean withwhale swimming in it.
It can look like a Moon, because I have found myself
staring at this thing, you know, coming back late from the
wedding At 2 am, and I'm juststaring at this thing and at
some point it turns into themoon and I'm like, well, that's
cute, but before that, do youknow what else it can turn into?

(07:46):
It can turn into ads, and Ifound myself at times staring at
an ad for you to his concert, which is currently being held
there, for well over 90 secondsand it's a boring ass.
Just Just one line, nothinggoing on, and I was staring at

(08:06):
it.
And there was one point when Iwas walking around the strip and
there was an overpass forpeople to get a good view of
this, and they're just stoppedright in the middle of the
overpass and I'm still, I'mgonna, I'm gonna tell you what
it is, what your most valuablething is, and I'm utilizing it
right now to make a point.
And so people are stopped atthis, at this overpass, like
blocking the thing, practicallyjust staring at it, even though

(08:28):
it's just a boring ass ad too,because they're waiting.
They're like I want to see thecool shit, I want to.
I want to see like the gearboxthing spinning around, opening
and doing things.
I want to see what.
See it pretend like it's thesurface of the Sun and I'm
looking into, like a nuclearexplosion.
People are wanting that and thatbecause they are, in exchange

(08:52):
for this really cool experience, they're giving away the most
valuable thing, and that mostvaluable thing is your attention
.
This is designed to take, totake your attention, so that
then they can use it against youto do whatever they want with
your attention.
Because there's an old saying,I think Tony Robbins I don't
know if he's the first one tosay it, but he says it a lot.

(09:14):
It's a lot of people attributeit to him, but it is just kind
of like one of these facts ofthe universe, the way the
universe, the way your life, theway the world works, that
energy flows where attentiongoes, or energy flows where,
basically, your energy and yourattention are very well linked
and your energy is what you'reable to do, what you're able to

(09:34):
think about, what you're able tofeel, and so wherever you place
your attention is whereeverything else in your life is
going to naturally lead to.
So if you're placing yourattention on an advertisement,
you are likely going to dowhatever advertisement says to
you, which is why what is thebiggest thing on all social
media, all all internet lately, honestly, is that is

(09:59):
quote-unquote free.
It's advertisement because it'snot free.
All this stuff costs money.
Millions, billions of Ofdollars is being devoted to
creating the infrastructure.
All of the web design, allthese features, all of the
back-end support all this it'snot free, and you are paying

(10:22):
with it, with your attention, because when they have your
attention, they can, they knowthey can get you do anything
they want you to, and so this istied to your health, this is
tied to your money, this is tiedto what you know, because if
your attention is on poor healthor it's just not on your health

(10:46):
and not on having cultivatinggood, healthful lifestyle
behaviors, identity, then yourhealth is gonna start to
deteriorate faster than it needsto be, and then you become very
susceptible to Advertisementssaying, hey, here's a way you
could have better health.
Right, here's a pill, here's atreatment, here's a place,

(11:09):
here's a doctor, here's aprocedure.
Here's a whatever.
Whereas if you more often putyour attention on Doing things
that brought you feelings ofhealth, like being out in nature
, like foods that are alignedwith your body and how how you
need to eat then your health isgoing to be going in the
direction that is better for you.

(11:29):
Same thing with your money.
Are you placing your attentionon ways to bring in more money
and to utilize the money youhave effectively by investing it
in things that Help create theworld you want to be living in,
or is it going to things thatjust make you feel better in the
moment or prevent you fromhaving a fear-based response?
So when you look at this valueof your attention and you go

(11:52):
like, oh shit, I'm hoping you'restarting to see all the aspects
of your life where yourattention is being stolen from
you Literally stolen, becausethere's so much effort, so much
time to steal us, and there'sI'm not the only one.
There's many other people outthere that are.
We're working our Damnedest toget your attention to go.
It's your attention.

(12:14):
Do with you what you want, yetyou know we're gonna keep doing
what we got to do.
You know because I'm here forthe long haul.
I've been at this for yearsalready.
I'm gonna be at this for many, many years trying to get your
attention so that you so then Ican just give it back to you and
go like this is yours, you cando amazing things with it.
Because I want to live in aworld with people like me, like

(12:37):
you, that are here working onRecognizing the valuable that
they have and doing amazingthings with it.
I place their attention on whatthey can create, what they can
give, what they can experience, what they can provide, instead
of just, oh, what's the mostshiny thing?
And then running towards thatand then, oh, that tells you
that the world's a fucked upplace and that someone's gonna

(12:59):
hurt you if you don't, if youdon't go and hurt somebody, or
you don't go and take this pill, you don't buy this product.
It's time to get away from that.
So you might be wondering atthis stage, like, okay, well,
how do I?
How can I practice taking myattention back?
How can I practice taking myattention back?
And it's one of those things.
It's so simple.
It's so simple.
It's so simple.
Yet I'm not gonna say that it'snecessarily easy.

(13:21):
It is simple, though, and itdoes help to do it with other
people, to get some instruction,to get some structure.
You don't need it, though.
Yet.
I mean, if life can be madeeasier, more enjoyable, more fun
, why wouldn't you?
And so that's that's what I'mhere for.
You know, if you enjoy me,great.
If you don't enjoy me, findsomebody you do enjoy, a, find a
friend you like to do thesetypes of things with.

(13:42):
So the exercise that I want tooffer you is I've taught it
before I talk about it in mybook, so I'm not gonna explain
why it works.
You can go read my book, or youcan go find an earlier podcast
where I talk about it.
It's the I love myselfmeditation, and so it's really
simple just on an inhale, yousay I love myself, and on an

(14:03):
exhale, you say I accept myself, and your mind is likely to
wander, because that is what weare designed to do, because we
are meant to be taking in whatis going on in the whole world.
So we're, we have awareness, which is basically Allowing
ourselves to be open to anythingand everything going on in the

(14:23):
world around us and within us,and so that's continuously
taking in inputs, and Oursubconscious is doing its
damnedest to try to figure out.
Is there anything that reallyneeds our conscious attention?
Because, again, there could besomething that you know could be
very joyful, like Like abeautiful rainbow right, or

(14:46):
there could be something truly, truly actually dangerous, like a
lion coming at you, becausemaybe you're at the zoo and they
they didn't design it properlyand they can happen or you're
someplace where lions arenaturally.
Yet that's not the whole story, though.
That's then, when you areconscious and you are being

(15:10):
mindful, you can then take in.
Okay, it's directed me towardsan advertisement.
That's when your mindfulnesscan step in and go like that's
not what.
We don't want to put ourattention on that advertisement.
We want to put our attention on, you know, doing, doing some ex
doing an exercise.
We want to do our, put ourattention on continuing to write

(15:34):
this best-selling novel.
I want to put our attention onPlaying with, playing with, you
know, someone important in ourlife, or child or whatever that
is, whatever is whateveractually matters to you and you
know, figuring out what mattersto you, that's.
That's another topic foranother day.
It's assuming you know what'simportant to you.
You want to be putting yourattention on that more and more,

(15:55):
and so your mindfulness canthen bring you back To go where
you want it to go.
Awareness is going to continuegoing like hey, over here, over
here, over here.
But then it's that bring itback.
And so the I, so the practiceand the way to reclaim your
attention so you can use it forwhatever you want, instead of
just being hijacked by whatother people want anywhere,

(16:17):
anywhere else is is yourattention is Going to get
distracted by awareness and thenyou mindfully just go.
No, I'm putting it back on this.
I love myself.
Meditation, where you inhale, Ilove myself, you exhale, I
accept myself, and If you findyour mind wanders, it gets

(16:40):
distracted.
See something shiny, what?
As soon as you recognize it,you just you'd lovingly go like
I love myself and accept myself, and you do, you do your best,
and it's that going away andcoming back, that's the
regaining, the power, just likegoing to the gym, you're
claiming the power of your body.
Simple exercises like these Ilike to call them enjoyments

(17:02):
lately, because the more you dothem, the more you enjoy them.
So these simple enjoymentsreally do make a big difference.
It's the compounding interestof your life, like if you know
finance, if you know the powerof interest rates and money.
This is that you know, compounding interest rate in
your favor instead of it goingthe other way, where it's in the
favor of somebody else.

(17:24):
So if you're able to close youreyes, I suggest close your eyes.
But you don't have to becauseyou can do this anywhere and
everywhere.
I do this one driving, I'll dothis.
You know, sometimes, if in ameeting, if I'm not talking, so
you don't have to do it a lot,you can just think it to
yourself.
But if you can close your eyes,I do suggest it.
But you simply on the inhale, ILove myself.

(17:45):
And then, exhaling, I Acceptmyself.
And then, inhaling, I lovemyself, and exhaling, I accept
myself.
Inhale, I love myself, exhale,I accept myself, and then you
might wander, you might go off, totally okay, whenever you

(18:08):
realize it.
And then inhale, I love myself.
On an exhale, I love myself.
Oh, did I just get thatbackwards?
Oh, that's okay.
Sometimes that happens.
Inhaling, I love myself,exhaling, I accept myself.
It's just that simple.
It's just that simple toreclaim your attention anytime,

(18:29):
anywhere you decide this is mineand I'm going to do with it
what I want, because it's mineand I deserve to do what I want
with my attention and to livethe life that I desire to live,
not the life that somebody elsewants me to live.
Not live a life just for thebenefit of somebody else that I
don't even know.
I don't know what they're about.

(18:49):
I don't know what they'retrying to do.
I'm going to be conscious, aware and mindfully place my
attention what's best for me andfor those that I care about and
I love.
That is how you have the ideallife that you want.
That is your most powerful tool, is your most prized possession
, and so I want you to claim it.

(19:10):
Let me know how it's going.
How are you going to implementthis?
Are you going to be able to doit?
I love myself Enjoymentmeditation practice.
If you can do five minutes oncea day, awesome.
Two minutes also great.
If you're just saying it toyourself a couple of times,

(19:31):
spring it out through the day,it's still going to help.
It's better to do whatever youcan every day, because it's
consciously saying my intentionmatters and my attention is mine
, and I'm not just going to giveit up unconsciously to anybody
who just says they want it andwants to take it from me.
It's yours.
So with that, thank you verymuch.

(19:53):
