What do you do when faced with your friend's deep loss? Will you be ready to stand beside them?
This week's episode brings extra helpful tips in navigating hardship with the people you love.
Even though Kindra didn't feel trained or knowledgeable in helping a friend through loss, she talks about how she walked into helping me in the immediacy of my loss.
A few of Kindra's tips in the episode:
1. Relate to the unique needs of your friend. Everyone will grieve differently.
2. Expect that helping with grief tasks will take you out of your comfort zone. Be ready to do things that stress and challenge you personally.
3. The helpers of the grieving person will need support. Plan to schedule things that will recharge you physically, mentally and emotionally. Receive these things without guilt.
