You’re gonna love my next guest, Chris Wirasinha, Co-Founder of Pedestrian and Linkby. Pedestrian is a youth targeted news and entertainment website - if you’re in Australia, I’m sure you’ve read Pedestrian articles or seen their content on socials! Pedestrian hit $20m of revenue and $9m of profit in their final year of running the business, before selling it to Nine at a valuation of $100m. (Btw - those margins are incredible!) More recently in 2020, Chris co-founded Linkby which allows brands to get featured on news and lifestyle publications on a pay-for-performance model. In just over 3 years, they’ve grown to processing $30m of annualised revenue with net revenue of $9m.
